Very entertaining
Not really realistic to me but I had to get to the end and now I need to know what is happening next.
These are well-developed characters, nonstop action and great story.
I enjoyed the book except it ended abruptly almost leading into the second book of the series without finishing this first one. I was also disappointed that the next book in the series was expensive.
Typ[ical crime story, though the policeman hero exults in violence, loves guns, doesn’t trust most police structure, etc.
The novel is scary because it is all too real and the possibilities frighten me. Dent is bent but I would want him on my team any day.
A joy to read if you like a good murder followed by a got the bad guy conclusion. I enjoyed it what else needs to be said…read it!
Good enough to want to read sequels.
This is a suspenseful story, but, because it is the first in a series, it feels unfinished to me. I prefer tighter endings.
This is an excellent story. Our hero struggles with his moral compass, doing what’s right if not legal, and has to decide if he’s willing to pay the price. Looking forward to the next installment.
Liked the story, will read the series. typical cop character, tough but somehow gets blind sighted (more than one time) in uncharacteristic fashion.
Read a lot of police procedurals, and this is one of the rare ones worth recommending.
Action packed police thriller that begins with the body of a young woman found in a Portland park. The police get lucky with a fingerprint and quickly arrest the murderer. However the murderer is soon out on bail due to his father’s power and wealth. The police officers involved are framed and suspended, and an international terrorism and sex trafficking plot is uncovered. This plot flows naturally and realistically.
Outstanding read
I gave this book a 4.5. If not for some editing problems in one chapter, I would have given it a 5. I can’t wait to read the next Dent Miller book- just love him!
great book
