Rose and Neely Kate get to have a girls trip to New Orleans while Mason needs to take a trip to Little Rock to do who knows what.
Of course these two cannot go anywhere without getting into trouble. They meet Taylor and her new Ghost Roommate who also have a tendency of having crazy things happening to them.
Why have these people (and ghost) not come together sooner! Going in you need to be able to take in crazy off the wall things. Helena is a ghost and she is wacky. Remember that this is a fiction book and it is absolutely hilarious, if humor and mystery is what you like then you are sure to enjoy this.
This is a cute holiday story and an awesome collaboration between two authors for both of their series! Mason has gifted Rose and a pregnant Neely Kate a trip for New Orleans…and in true Rose and NK fashion, trouble brews wherever they go! NK wants to see a psychic and after they leave, the psychic ends up dead! Cue private detective Taylor with her ghost sort-of friend Helena. Together, the four of them work to solve the murder and clear their names of any wrong-doing. The story is hilarious. Helena is ridiculous! This is such a fun story to read around the holidays!
This book was a nice little add on to the story. I have read Jana DeLeon’s first book in Ghost in law and have read all her Fortune books so I knew this book was going to be good. I think this was a much needed brake for Neely Kate and Rose. I really wish Mason didn’t have so many secrets.I really loved the humors story this book has but be warned you will need tissue at the some points. I think I used a box getting through it. I think with a heavy heart and prayers I’m going into this next book.
It’s not just in little Henryetta that Rose and Neely Kate get into situations. When Rose and Neely Kate go to New Orleans, trouble finds them there. They work together with PI, Taylor and ghost Helena to take down the bad guy. It was a nice change of pace that was light and comical. Helena really likes to spice things up! Read this book to see how Rose and Helena Save Christmas!
This sweet Christmas novella will get you into a festive holiday mood! I love this collaboration of Denise Grover Swank and Jana DeLeon. When I heard this short story involved a character from the Ghost-in-Law Series, I had to go read all of Helena’s books, which were so funny! This can be read as a stand alone, but I had to have the full story before reading. Rose and Neely Kate take a trip down to New Orleans, which was super fun for me to read, as that is where I grew up. The trip includes a visit to a psychic, that in true Rose and Neely Kate fashion, goes horribly wrong as they find themselves as murder suspects in unfamiliar city. They team up with Taylor and Helena to try and solve this crime. I hope these authors team up again, as Rose and Helena Save Christmas was a very enjoyable read!
I love Denise Grover Swanks Rose Gardner series and when you mix it with Ghost-in-law you have a fun novella to read.
This book is great! I am an avid Denise Grover Swank fan so it was really fun to read a book written by her and another author. I loved everything about this book!
This was my first experience reading anything by Jana DeLeon and she didn’t disappoint. I loved the mischief these characters find themselves in! It was good to see a witty side to Neely Kate and Rose without all the troubles in Fenton County. I love that Rose and NK took the time to have a girl’s trip, even if they did find themselves in tons of trouble! This was a fun, cute, witty read!
I am a huge fan of the Rose Gardner series but this is my first time reading anything from the Ghost-in-Law series. This novella was a quick and entertaining read. Initially, it was difficult for me to get into the book since it was written in 3rd person (I am used to 1st person from Rose’s POV) and involved characters from a whole different series/author. I did think that both authors managed to smoothly blend both of their stories in this book and it was easy to forget that the authors of two different series wrote this book together.
Reading Rose and Helena Save Christmas has made me want to read more about Taylor and Helena in their Ghost-in-Law series. The writing was very enjoyable from both authors and I liked the mystery in this book. I always love reading between the book novellas from Denise Grover Swank and I am glad that I have been introduced into a new series.
Just wanted to say that I can only hope I have as much fun in my eternal afterlife that Helena Henry has in hers! Thank you Denise Grover Swank for introducing me to the fabulous Helena and thank you Jana for sharing Helena with the world!
Neely Kate and Helena are definitely two peas in a far out pod! Literally laughing out loud…(with the occasional snort!)
What a fun short story! Taylor and Helena are great and a nice addition. The story was fun and full of Rose and Neely Kate’s usual shenanigans. It was a nice breather from all the action and intensity from the latest Rose Gardner book. I am intrigued to read more of Jana DeLeon’s work.
