“Please let me kiss you right this second. I’ll explain later.” Those were the first words he spoke to her, and then he made good on them and melted her heart. But she wasn’t the sort of girl who did one-night stands, and he would surely break her heart in the morning. On the flip side, nothing like this ever happened to her… with someone eating a salad.

Another great addition to Becca Jameson’s Corked and Tapped series. I think I loved Rose the best so far – so sweet and unsure, yet yearning to feel and be loved. Dylan is an absolute treasure!! Fun and flirty, yet sincere and earnest!
An insta-lust/love romance at an office party!
Rose is one of those introverts who just isn’t comfortable in crowds but she lets her friend, Ivy, convince her to go to the company costume party. She’s kind of hoping to see the guy she’s been privately crushing on when he walks up to her and asks for a kiss. And what a kiss! Ethan is a lot like Rose and has a secret.
I am absolutely loving this series! Each book is a quick read but really well developed an written.
This is the sixth book in the Corked and Tapped series and can be read as a standalone but they all happen in the same bar and some (or most) of the characters intersect in each book, so it’s better to read them in the order they are written.
I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rose is another good entry in Jameson’s Corked and Tapped series of novellas. It continues the theme of a company’s Halloween party that’s been orchestrated to bring potential couples together. This time it’s Rose and Dylan’s turn. Each has secretly been eyeing the other for months, but they’re both a bit too shy to act on that attraction—they haven’t even introduced themselves.
This story is told from Rose’s point of view, and her shy and naturally reticent nature helps explain why she doesn’t move forward with her attraction. Dylan is a bit of a math geek—hey, he works in accounting—and I loved that his apartment was filled with math-geeky things. And their meet-cute was so enjoyable.
But there were elements in Rose that strained credulity to me. Rose and Dylan are presented as physically beautiful people, so I found it hard to believe that they hadn’t been hit on for dates by other people before, as most people respond to beauty that way. Dylan supposedly hasn’t been on a date in years, but his moves on Rose are so polished, practiced, and in a way Dom-ish that I had trouble reconciling that with this shy math geek character he’s supposed to be. And those Dom-like elements just weren’t built on enough in the story to matter. Instead, they just became confusing.
I really liked the characters of Rose and Dylan in and of themselves. I just wish there was a better blend of their romantic history versus the actions in this story.
A handsome masked man needing a kiss to fend off unwanted attention is harmless right, well for Rose it is totally out of her comfort zone but seeing as though she is in dress up and so is he she decides to go with it. This kiss changes things for Rose and I think if she knew what would happen before hand she would blush and run away BUT thankfully she doesn’t and that kiss turns a shy girl into a woman who learns she isn’t broken.
Maddie set Rose up as a sexy vampire and her friend Ivy as Cleopatra for the company Halloween party at Corked & Tapped a neighborhood bar. Rose feels very exposed in the skimpy outfit. The object of the party is to get different departments to get to know one another. But Rose is matched up with someone she has had a secret crush on ….and The make counterpart of the vampire is matched up with .Rose and He has had a secret crush on too……Smile……I loved this……great storyline……I was given this and I voluntarily leave this review.
Another steamy but short Corked and Tapped book. Each can be read as a stand alone. But why would you do that? Rose has seen this guy every morning and has secretly been fantasising about him. Imagine her surprise when he comes up to her and asks to kiss her at a company costume party. Dylan has been trying to work up the nerve to ask Rose out. It is time to just go for it.
I enjoyed and read in one sitting because I just could not stop… remember the quiet ones are the kinky ones.
If you are reading these from the beginning you’ll remember that Jacoby Advertising has rented out the back room of Corked and Tapped for sort of a team building Halloween party. Employees have been assigned costumes pairing them off.
In this book we meet Rose, she’s to be a vampire and what a costume she has. Her appointed match will also be a vampire. When he approaches her is in the blurb for this book. It was more than just wow!
These two are awesome together. It just so happens that Dylan was also the one who swapped costumes with the boss so it really worked out well. Especially since the boss only had eyes for Clara. So the credit actually goes to Landon rather than HR’s Maddie.
I am truly loving these short reads, they have plenty of fun and heat. Perfect to read just before bed.
This wonderfully written storyline and amazing characters kept me totally engaged throughout the entire book! I look forward to reading more from this author!
A delightful devilish novella .
I volunteered to read an advanced readers copy of Rose . This is part of the Corked and Tapped series .
Rose is shy and the company Halloween party is way out of her comfort zone . Her best friend convinced her that the sexy outfit she’s wearing is fantastic . Rose may get swept off her feet by the sexy man she sees in the lobby at work every morning or maybe who ever sends her a single rose every day will show up .
This is absolutely steamy , sexy , and all out delightful . I highly recommend reading .
Two people who’ve fantasized about each other from afar are paired up in a company costume party. This is a charming romantic tale told without drama or danger or intrigue. Instead, Becca Jameson gives us two very solitary people, an introvert and a math nerd, who find deep passion in each other that leads to the night of their lives and hopefully beyond.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
It was just a kiss, or was it ?
When Rose meet Ethan, there was an instant attraction.
Now, what will Rose do ?
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I just love stories that have both the lead characters having feelings for the other but not knowing. It just melts me a bit inside. This is one of the best that I’ve read for a while. It has a great storyline with wonderful characters and a hero that is just that endearing touch of shy. Sometimes I read a story of this length and it feels so rushed that it’s just not enjoyable but this manages to feel like a much longer book and left me with a very happy glow once I finished it. It’s fairly short, so it’s easily enjoyed in a single sitting. Another great entry in the Corked & Tapped series.
Corked & Tapped 6: We stay with the Halloween theme but this time it’s Rose’s turn. I absolutely loved Ethan’s approach to get to know Rose. This was a fast romantic connection between the two. Love how they were connected with Landon and Clara, even if it was only due to a costume swap!!! I had so much fun reading this novella!
