Very interesting twist in Ropes story along with that of his lady, Devlin. I won’t spoil it but will tell you it’s well worth the read. The conversations between these two are are witty to full on fights to dirty and playful. Must read! Part Autobiography perhaps?
The main characters Ropes and Devlin draw you in to their story and keep you entranced for more. Great read for an escape.
Fun read, a different look at mc.
I really enjoyed Ropes and Devlin. Ropes is not your stereotypical MC member, his secret was really great. When I read about Devlin’s past I was surprised at the tie-in to one of Piper Davenport’s books. Devlin has a plan for her future and it does not include falling in love. Ropes wants to know her better and he asked her out repeatedly before she finally said yes. Both of them have had very rough pasts, and Devlin still suffers. There is a big problem with some members of the Burning Saints who disagree with the new vision of the club. Intrigue abounds, and in dealing with his new future outlook Ropes made me nervous for him. A great read, and I wish the next book was here already.
Storyline was disjointed. So much drama. Little resolution. The ending was rushed, uninteresting, and felt forced. Not a great MC book in my opinion.
I kept waiting for the story to get better. Back story for both characters was awful. The jump from being friendly to sleeping together was clumsy. The description of the cruise ship room is fake. I’ve been on 10 cruises, if you’re going to describe a room you should make it accurate. At one point the name of the love interest changes. Clearly someone missed it during editing.
