What would you find if you walked into the rooms of your soul? One man is about to find out.James L. Rubart is the bestselling, four-time Christy Award-winning author of nine novels, and has won numerous other accolades for his unique, mind-bending stories. About ROOMS: It was just a letter. Cryptic, yes absolutely. But Seattle software tycoon Micah Taylor can’t get it out of his mind—the claim … Taylor can’t get it out of his mind—the claim that a home was built for him by a great uncle he never knew, on the Oregon coast. In Cannon Beach. The one place he loves. The one place he never wants to see again.
Micah heads to Cannon Beach to sell the house and keep his past buried, but the nine thousand square-foot home instantly feels like it’s part of him.
Then he meets Sarah Sabin at the local ice cream shop … maybe Cannon Beach can be the perfect weekend getaway.
But strange things start happening in the house. Things Micah can’t explain. Things he can barely believe. All the locals will say is the house is “spiritual.” Unsettling since Micah’s faith slipped away like the tide years ago.
And then he discovers the shocking truth: the home isn’t just spiritual, it’s a physical manifestation of his soul.

I’m still reading , not finished yet but like it very much. I think we sometimes only want to let God in some but not all the rooms of our heart and can’t be happy until we let Him have full control of our lives and put Him first.
An unusual plot but one not to be missed. Thought provoking. Almost a “whodunit” as you don’t know who the “voice” is until almost the end.
Made me think about my life and my relationship with God.
Exceptional story that makes a person think about their own ‘rooms’.
I was dumb enough to finish this book. Would recommend skipping this book. Man inherited a house which kept changing doors, rooms and even furniture. At the ending not really sure if the house existed.
Such a great read that I will read it again…something I rarely do
This book is captivating! I could hardly put it down!
I enjoyed it, it was unpredictable to a point at about halfway, it was obvious where it was going yet still interesting as it wasn’t obvious how it would get there. The only negative was at some points it moved too slowly (2/3 thru or so) and then all of a sudden everything moved almost too fast and bam! resolution.
I loved this book! It was very thought provoking and a draw to go deeper with Jesus. Anyone who has ever struggled with completely selling out to Jesus will be inspired by this book. Blessings to all who read this book and want to change for the better!
Thought provoking and original. Makes you think about GOD and your life.
Thought-provoking while being entertaining.
Waiting for friend to finish. I have questions.
Definitely a unique perspective on a way God could communicate and work in ones life. A little bit sci-fi feeling but story line and premise are great and an easy read.
Weird
You have to know a little about Christianity to really appreciate this book. I pray for those that gave this book a low rating because they need its message more than anyone. I want to say that this book made my head hurt, but only in the way that it made me think so much. It made me examine my own life. Have I really given my whole heart to Christ. I think I have, but what rooms are still hidden in my heart that I need to expose and work through.
Very well written. I loved the characters and couldn’t wait to see how they evolved. This was a wonderful story with lessons for me on my faith journey.
I am afraid that the story dragged toward the end. I lost interest
Both original and inspirational. Reinforcing for all us believers!
I enjoyed this book. It was one that I believe God put before me to help me sort out the validity of the choices I made in the past and to clarify my future purpose
I loved this novel and have already recommended it to family and friends. It’s intriguing and suspenseful yet very inspirational at the same time.
