What would you find if you walked into the rooms of your soul? One man is about to find out.James L. Rubart is the bestselling, four-time Christy Award-winning author of nine novels, and has won numerous other accolades for his unique, mind-bending stories. About ROOMS: It was just a letter. Cryptic, yes absolutely. But Seattle software tycoon Micah Taylor can’t get it out of his mind—the claim … Taylor can’t get it out of his mind—the claim that a home was built for him by a great uncle he never knew, on the Oregon coast. In Cannon Beach. The one place he loves. The one place he never wants to see again.
Micah heads to Cannon Beach to sell the house and keep his past buried, but the nine thousand square-foot home instantly feels like it’s part of him.
Then he meets Sarah Sabin at the local ice cream shop … maybe Cannon Beach can be the perfect weekend getaway.
But strange things start happening in the house. Things Micah can’t explain. Things he can barely believe. All the locals will say is the house is “spiritual.” Unsettling since Micah’s faith slipped away like the tide years ago.
And then he discovers the shocking truth: the home isn’t just spiritual, it’s a physical manifestation of his soul.

I enjoyed this book , but kinda slow in places
Such an inventive way to get the point across. Mind provoking.
This book was the best christian book I have ever read. I loved every minute of this book. It is my all time favorite book. I talk about it lot. May me inventory my heart to see if I closed for rooms from God. I’M grateful to the writer for this book. Thanks.
Lots of twists and turns yet very inspirational!
Mystery kept me wondering the whole time.
I loved this book. I think you have to have some imagination and faith in things unseen to really embrace the story. It definitely stretched my thinking (and theology) a few times.
Was a little difficult to follow at times.
Gave me a number of things to think about my own spirituality. Entertaining and thought provoking.
Loved this book. Stayed up half the night to finish it, just didnt want to put it down. The struggle is real
An interesting concept. ..a young billionaire, who the more he opens up his heart to God, the more he becomes disconnected with the source of his wealth. A study in the re-evaluation of life. Entertaining story, though a little far fetched sometimes. I enjoyed it and recommend it. I deducted one star because I hate those types of endings.
Rooms truly keep me reading. This book was enjoyable but very thought provoking. Micah received an odd little that will turn his life upside down. This letter provides him ownership of a new house. But the house is somehow spiritual. This house somehow reflect or interacts with his soul, his past, and his present.
Fabulous, inventive story about spirituality.
LOVED THIS BOOK. Best I’ve read in a long time. Really helped my walk with Christ
This book is unlike most Christian fiction that I read. I really enjoyed it.
Very difficult to get into. However, after persevering it was worth the effort. A very different approach to a spiritual journey.
This was very thought provoking. I didn’t want to put it down. It was unlike books I have been reading. The author made me take a look at my heart and soul and reaffirmed what is really important in this earthly life.
This book will stir your heart. Wonderful reading didn’t want to stop reading it.
Provocative view of our innermost being both worldly and spiritually.
Must have ordered by mistake. Not my favorite type fiction.
Couldn’t finish. Weird.
