What would you find if you walked into the rooms of your soul? One man is about to find out.James L. Rubart is the bestselling, four-time Christy Award-winning author of nine novels, and has won numerous other accolades for his unique, mind-bending stories. About ROOMS: It was just a letter. Cryptic, yes absolutely. But Seattle software tycoon Micah Taylor can’t get it out of his mind—the claim … Taylor can’t get it out of his mind—the claim that a home was built for him by a great uncle he never knew, on the Oregon coast. In Cannon Beach. The one place he loves. The one place he never wants to see again.
Micah heads to Cannon Beach to sell the house and keep his past buried, but the nine thousand square-foot home instantly feels like it’s part of him.
Then he meets Sarah Sabin at the local ice cream shop … maybe Cannon Beach can be the perfect weekend getaway.
But strange things start happening in the house. Things Micah can’t explain. Things he can barely believe. All the locals will say is the house is “spiritual.” Unsettling since Micah’s faith slipped away like the tide years ago.
And then he discovers the shocking truth: the home isn’t just spiritual, it’s a physical manifestation of his soul.

Great read, recommend for anyone struggling with difficult decisions
Interesting read.
sweet and entertaining, but unrealistic.
This is a must read book! Thought provoking and an encouragement to fully open ones heart to God.
Thought provoking with a great story!
I loved this book, very
entertaining, could not put it down!
This was a fantastically written book. It really encouraged the reader through the characters to do some serious soul searching within themselves.
What an amazing book! you will love all it has to say.
Very well written; this book had me rooting for the main character as he made good decisions and feeling angst as he made bad ones. While I thought I had a few things figured out in the plot, the writer was skillful in making me question as I continued to read. The message of “deception by mixing a little lie with truth” was well portrayed, as was the true nature of Christ’s forgiveness & love.
I have really enjoyed this book! It’s very inspirational, and applies scripture in wonderfully instructional ways. Very interesting!
The optional categories describing this book do not provide enough options. In addition to the items noted, the book contains mystery, drama and suspense. The predominant characteristic is the mystery… not only trying to second guess what is coming next but knowing what each of the mysterious rooms represent as well as the voice and alternate realities that surface from time to time.
Thought provoking. How different things would be if I could see what could happen with each decision. Life would have, could have, been so different had wrong decisions could be erased. Made me think of my motives when I serve God or help others.
Kept me guessing every page.
It is really an eye-catcher when you find out what the rooms really are. It’s a great book. This is definitely an original.
This was a somewhat unique novel, sort of allegorical in nature. I thought the characters or well developed and believable, acting consistently within their descriptions. Not super fast paced, but it kept me interested because of the element of mystery.
This is an allegory about the need to choose to put Christ first in your life or to allow fame, fortune, popularity etc. to be first. At times, it seemed surreal to have rooms appearing that weren’t there at first, a painting that continues to be worked on, experiences or property disappearing in a time warp.
Made you stop and think about your life, your heart.
It kept wondering where the story was going.
Interesting and unique
I can only give this book 3 stars.
