Forget all those other roommate romances you might have read.
Heather and Chris don’t hate each other…very much. And they don’t have sex all the time…at least not at first. Chris doesn’t go around shirtless, flexing his muscles and driving Heather wild…too often. And he doesn’t get jealous and possessive every time she goes out with another man…well, maybe occasionally.
But they definitely … they definitely don’t fall in love…right away.
When Heather comes back to her hometown, she plans to take over her father’s historic restoration business and move into a beautiful converted apartment in Preston’s Mill. Then she finds out she’ll have to partner up with the one man she can never forgive. Chris Dole, who abandoned her father and betrayed her trust three years ago.
It gets even worse. They don’t just have to work together. They have to become roommates for six months to prove they can get along. That means Heather will have to play nice with Chris and put up with his obnoxiousness, his drop-dead sexiness, and his ugly recliner named Flo.
She’ll do what she has to do out of loyalty to her father, but she isn’t going to like it.
At least not much.

So I had written a review last night on my kindle, and lost it, so lets try this again.
I liked most things about this book, however Heather was very unlikeable to me. She was acting like a whiny teenager towards the end and I just wanted to smack her and tell her to grow up. BUT that is also part of why I like the book, it takes alot to NOT like the main character. This was very well written and I can’t wait to move on to Speed Dating.
ETA: I forgot to mention that the enemies to lovers was very believable, usually I don’t like that sort of thing because to me it’s unrealistic.
The story progressed predictably. The obstacle to the couple’s happiness seemed plausible, but the resolution was rushed and didn’t maintain any romantic tension.
Easy read with unusual twist. Somewhat ordinary ending but fun tale.
I love Noelle Adams but this wasn’t one of my favorites. The premise given for how they end up as roommates is weak at best, but that’s my biggest complaint. I love the characters and the writing style.
A nice easy summer read
Christian principles, supernatural.
Heather and Chris are chosen by Heather’s dad to run the family business after he retires. One condition that he has is that they must live together for 6 months to see if they will be able to work together for the long term. Both Heather and Chris have issues with mothers and relationships and trust is an issue. Can they live together, work together, and maybe even heal these issues??
I loved this story.
FUN READ
After reading the first couple of chapters, I didn’t really keep my interest. So I didn’t finish the book.
I loved this book and bought another in this series!!! Love Chris and Heather!!! Also love that they are equals at the job. Seldom happens in real life and should happen more.
LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!
I thought the female MC was way too hostile to the male MC, considering the circumstances. Did not finish at 39% because I didn’t want to throw my Kindle across the room.
Dialogue was ok but the premise of the story was too far fetched for me.
Good book
Seen this plot before!! No surprises here
Solid C rating. It was exactly what I wanted a quick, easy read, before bed.
Good Beach read
Quick and entertaining. Predictable but pleasant
I enjoyed it so much, I ended up buying the whole series!
Entertaining but predictable
