Forget all those other roommate romances you might have read.
Heather and Chris don’t hate each other…very much. And they don’t have sex all the time…at least not at first. Chris doesn’t go around shirtless, flexing his muscles and driving Heather wild…too often. And he doesn’t get jealous and possessive every time she goes out with another man…well, maybe occasionally.
But they definitely … they definitely don’t fall in love…right away.
When Heather comes back to her hometown, she plans to take over her father’s historic restoration business and move into a beautiful converted apartment in Preston’s Mill. Then she finds out she’ll have to partner up with the one man she can never forgive. Chris Dole, who abandoned her father and betrayed her trust three years ago.
It gets even worse. They don’t just have to work together. They have to become roommates for six months to prove they can get along. That means Heather will have to play nice with Chris and put up with his obnoxiousness, his drop-dead sexiness, and his ugly recliner named Flo.
She’ll do what she has to do out of loyalty to her father, but she isn’t going to like it.
At least not much.

I really enjoyed these characters. A great feel good story.
Loved reading this book I love when I find a book that interest me an I can’t stop reading until I finished the book
An entertaining story about two people forced to live together by a conniving father. Sure, the premise has been done before, but it’s a relaxing read. Sexual situations but no foul language.
Not as good as most of the other books
I’ve been on an Adams kick and most of her books contain adult characters that are well written. This book is kind of lacking in that department. Chris is alright but she’s a bit of a child. She definitely needs therapy because she can’t tell big issues from little ones. And their relationship issues are little ones.
Heather will do anything for her father, and when it comes time for her to take over the business side of his company and bringing in a contractor to take over the construction side of the business, her father throws a wrench in the plans. Bringing Chris into the business is the right thing to do but can Heather get over the fact that he walked away from them once before? Before he retires, her dad makes them live together for six months before he will let the business go. This leads Heather and Chris to deal with their issues and try to work together. Can the two be roommates and not have their true feelings of love come to the surface? With adorable characters and a storyline that had me laughing out loud numerous times this was a great read.
Heather’s dad Tom is getting ready to retire from his construction business. Heather is more than ready to take over the office, but Tom wants someone with general contractor experience to be running the onsite projects. Re-enter Chris. After Chris’s mother dies, he needs to get away from all the sad memories for a while. Three years away is more than enough time to make him miss home and Tom who is the closest thing he has to family. Tom realizes that Heather and Chris have a lot of issues to work through if he is going to be able to pass his business, so he makes them involuntary roommates for 6 months to give them no choice but to reconcile and learn to work together. And if they don’t kill each other (and learn to live with her dog and his ugly recliner) maybe at the end of 6 months they will be a team. As long as their matchmaking dad’s plan doesn’t backfire! Happy Reading!
I’d call this a beach read. Definitely chick lit.
Typical romance. Entertaining but not that original.
I wish there was more character & plot development. Really let the heat between the characters build. But overall an enjoyable summer read.
Cute, light read. I liked the plot and characters but they weren’t developed as much as they could have been. The book needed to be a bit longer.
I just didn’t like the lead female character.
Had to wonder about a father’s motives to hide information from his daughter, require another to lie, and have daughter live with a hunk of a guy who has to become her partner. Really loved the neighbor and the friend.
A cute Frienemies to Lovers story. I alternated between the audiobook and the ebook and was able to get through the book in a few hours. Looks like a fun series, so I can’t wait to read the rest in the series.
I love everything by Samantha Chase!

What a quick, wonderful read. Fathers are always so devious!
This was a cute, quick read. While Heather was not my favorite character.. she could be a bit annoying, Chris was great. I enjoyed him. A short romantic almost, there were parts that I found funny and cute and other parts were just okay mainly because of Heather.
Cute, fun, romantic. Really enjoyed. Good book.
I couldn’t get into this book. I liked the premise but never did finish it. The characters just didn’t get me interested.
Good book, left me wanting more! Had to read the whole series.
Chris and Heather come together after several years to work at her father’s business. He forces them to live together so he knows they will be compatible as work partners. What first starts as animosity toward each other, eventually becomes love for the two co-workers.
Noelle Adams is my favorite writer. I hope she doesn’t get tired of writing ever. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a romantic person.
