Room For Two is Catie and Ethan’s book and I loved these two. I adore how relatable and normal these characters are, and how Christina always throws in a pet like Duke. He just made you fall in love with him and his antics. This book was for sure a page turner and had all the feels. I laughed, swooned, and cried at some parts. But in the end we get an amazing HEA. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series and to see where we go next.
I love this Maple Glen series. Another matchmaking romance that pulls you in page by page. I’s sweet and funny. From beginning to end you will have a hard time putting this book down. I love a good sweet romance that starts off bad or wrong way that flips and turns out to be what they always wanted. Christina gets you hooked right at the beginning and reels you in bringing out many different emotions. Thank you Christina.
We haven’t heard much about Catie in the previous books so this was pretty much sight unseen. I really enjoyed her character and I think that Ethan was a perfect pairing alongside her for the story. I can’t wait to read more in this series! I’m going to be so sad when it ends.
I love the Maple Glen Romances! Room for Two was so good. I was entranced and couldn’t put it down. Catie and Ethan were fireworks. You could absolutely see their chemistry. They tried to deny it but finally decided to take it to that level. I loved them! Shen I got to the last page I kept trying to swipe for more. A five star must read!
Room for Two takes us back to Maple Glen and I’m always happy visiting there. This series reads like a Hallmark movie and they always leave a smile on my face. I also love the fact that the characters even making remarks about Maple Glen being like a Hallmark movie.
This time the story is about Catie. She’s doing her best to open up her own B&B. This house belonged to her grandmother and she won’t let it go. The repairs aren’t easy and she’s not sure she’ll be able to fix it all up. Until her Aunt Fran gets involved! I loved Catie, she’s a hardworker and was determined to make her dream come true. She’s really caring and even saved the geese that showed up at the house after she bought it.
Ethan lives in the city and is in between jobs. He doesn’t really believe in himself. The relationship he’s had with his father has torn him down and made it hard for him to believe in himself. Still, when his grandfather asks for help, he packs up and Ethan heads to Maple Glen with his dog Duke. Ethan was quite an interesting character. It was heartbreaking to see him not believe in himself. He slowly started opening up and I loved the person we got to see.
I have to say I would’ve liked to have seen more time spent on Ethan and his father. There is a tiny scene near the end, but that felt too easy. I needed just a little bit more. Even though he started realizing he was worth more, it would’ve been nice to see more talked about!
Catie and Ethan were an interesting couple in the beginning. They weren’t too happy with the other, but the teasing was fun at times. I liked seeing their connection grow and them both realize there could be something there for them. I definitely would stay at the B&B with them! It was great being back in this small town. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Room for Two was a delight to read. I adored Catie. She’s compassionate and a little bit feisty too. Ethan is stubborn and a little gruff but underneath it all he’s actually kindhearted. I really loved his dog Duke. What a cutie.
Catie and Ethan started out a little like frenemies but gradually their relationship grows and blossoms into something more. I really enjoyed going on this journey with them.
Catie & Ethan are the latest victims of Aunt Fran’s matchmaking. Catie’s dream of opening a B&B was finally going to come true. But the bank wouldn’t give her a loan. Now she was getting worried, until her Aunt Fran was helping her with money to get it started. But we all know Aunt Fran. She contacted Ethan’s Grandfather who owned the hardware store and he offered his Grandson Ethan’s help. This wonderful story of Fran’s behind the scenes matchmaking helps Ethan realize that his life in the City with only his dog Duke as a companion and an verbally abusive father that keeps telling him how worthless he is, is not the life he wants after meeting Catie when he goes to help do the roof. Strong willed and sweet Catie feels the spark and yet she tells her Aunt Fran it’s not going to work, so don’t try to work her “magic” on her. In the end she helps Ethan regain his self confidence that his father tore down. I’ve love this Maple Glen Romance Series. So sweet and true to life stories. You must read this to see what happens and laugh and cry at times with wonder what will happen. A must read.
Can we just address something that never gets attention in books? Ok so maybe never is a bit dramatic but more often than not the financial life of the hero or heroine is something not talked about unless they’re billionaire’s (too many of those going around). I really appreciate that Catie talks about real life, about real every day issues. This is something that struck me right away. It’s one of my favorite things about reading Christina Butrum’s books. I know that I’m going to get some enjoyable time reading about a life that isn’t mine (or stressing about mine) but I’m still going to feel like this story is plausible, like Catie could be my bestie. Christina Butrum always leaves me feeling like good things happen to good people and you don’t have to be billionaire to make it happen. Oh no, you can be just an everyday person living on dreams and Roman Noodles. Of course I enjoy those outlandish stories when the storyline would never happen but these stories right here, like Room for Two is where it’s at for me. I like my characters relatable and real.
So after that big rant, I’m sure you all know that I like Catie. I found her real and down to earth but she has dreams and they’re of a big ol’ bed and breakfast made from her grandmother’s house. That dream is one I can understand and see falling for as well. But the house isn’t in the best of shape. Catie needs to fix it up… cue the financial problems that real people have. I really loved seeing previous characters but if you haven’t read the first three books, don’t worry. You can totally read Room for Two without feeling confused. But let me just tell you now, y’all want to read about the previous characters plus I think it works you into Maple Glen a bit easier otherwise we’re throwing several people at ya here that you haven’t gotten to know yet. I enjoyed them so much.
Now I liked Ethan a lot. He was honest, almost bluntly so. He was a hard worker and he was kind. Catie’s optimistic nature clashed with Ethan’s pessimistic nature. Deep down inside though I’m not sure Ethan is pessimistic, I think he just doesn’t see his self worth. My heart ached for his bruised soul. I loved how it felt like Catie started to breathe life into him again or perhaps that was just happiness. I love Christina Butrum’s clean and sweet small town romances. She builds the relationships up to where they feel like they’re based on a foundation of respect and honesty. Leave it all up to Fran, she’s Maple Glen’s very own Match.com!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
I really enjoyed reading Room for Two. Catie has the opportunity to make her life-long dream come true but it’s not going to be easy! From the very beginning she runs into problems and to top it all off she has to deal with a man she cannot stand. Through all their misunderstandings and disagreements a beautiful love story develops. Dreams really can come true!
This is a sweet romantic story of Catia and Ethan of when opposites attract to each other.
Catia purchases her grandmother’s home, so that she can turn it into a Bread and Breakfast Inn. The only problem is the house needs a lot of work done.
Ethan has lived a life in the city and he really doesn’t care to live in a small town like Maple Glen. On the demand of his father he goes to the small town to work on Catia’s Bed and Breakfast Inn and also visit with his grandfather that he has not seen in awhile.
I love the development of these two characters along with Catia’s family and Ethan’s grandfather. I can feel the emotions that the characters displayed of love, happiness, anger, hurt and pain.
The lesson I took from this storyline is that we have to learn to overcome our past and move forward. We are the one’s that can make a change for the better. Don’t hold back, communicate with other’s how you feel.
My attention was held from the beginning to the end and now I look forward to the next story, so in the meantime I want to go back and read the other books in this series.
This is my first time reading a book by this author and I look forward to reading more books by her. I highly recommend this book to read.
I recieved an ARC to review and this review is of my own honest opinion.

This is another sweet, clean romance by Christina Butrum. Book 4 of the series almost seemed to have a little more substance to it than the previous. The characters are well developed and the story flows well.
Ethan’s character is a little lost–his father has done a number on his ego and he doesn’t think very highly of himself. Catie’s character is more together. She’s working hard to get her own Bed and Breakfast up and running. The two definitely don’t mesh at first, but the journey they take to come together is fun. I may be alone in thinking this, but Butrum’s characters have always seemed to come to love super quickly. In this book, a single kiss is all it takes. All of a sudden they are super comfortable together. I guess I’m a difficult sell.
One of the main conflicts between the two involves Ethan’s dog, Duke. Catie is not a fan of the dog running loose. Duke was in dire straits when Ethan found him and is very protective of him. Ethan and Duke come as a pair. Will Catie open up her heart and find room for the two?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
I love each of the Maple Glen books but I think this one is my favorite. Ethan is stuck in his own head and Catie is just stubborn enough to pull him out. Alot of bumps along the road that even I couldn’t see. Do not miss.
I don’t remember hearing too much about Catie up until now, but I loved how headstrong she is! Duke, who can’t help but love Duke?!?! Ethan was okay too 😀
4.5 Cozy Stars!
You ever just pick up a book, start reading and feel so comfortable? You love the characters, they are so welcoming, the story just envelopes you and Aunt Fran keeps you smiling…I love being back in Maple Glen, a small town that leaves a big impact.
Catie and Ethan have a chemistry that is hard to deny, even when they are trying their best to avoid it. Catie’s feistiness is the perfect match for Ethan’s stubbornness. With a meddling Aunt Fran and Gramps this one was only made better! While it was great seeing old characters and meeting some new, Duke stole the show for me in this one, now if he would just leave Gus and Gertie alone
This is a fun, opposites attract story that takes place in the small, friendly town of Maple Glenn. It was so much fun watching Katie fix up her grandmother’s house she bought and turn it into a bed and breakfast.
It was also fun watching Katie’s Aunt Fran and Ethan’s Grandfather Harold fix up Catie and Ethan by having Ethan replace the roof on the bed and breakfast. I enjoyed the dog Duke’s antics with the geese too and felt sorry for Duke’s rough beginning and I was so glad Ethan saved him.
I felt sorry for Ethan and how his father had treated him after his mother died many years ago, I enjoyed watching his character grow, find himself and make his own happiness with Catie;s help in Maple Glenn. I especially liked the ending. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
This small town, big love story blew me away. I love this author’s work. Every book gets better and better. I loved this couple and I wanted this book to go on forever.
Another delightful visit to the charming town of Maple Glen.
Ms. Butrum writes sweet, clean romances with characters that wrap themselves around your heart. I love the fact that her books have great story lines without having to rely on steamy bedroom scenes to hold the reader’s attention.
Catie has a dream of turning her grandmother’s big old house into a bed and breakfast. The operative word here is ‘old’. Because of the age of the house, a lot of repairs need to be made before her dream can come true. When the bank turns down her application for a loan to make the repairs, she is afraid that there is no way to make her bed and breakfast dream a reality, but that doesn’t stop her from trying.
Ethan lives in the city. His grandfather is a life-long resident of Maple Glen and owns the hardware store. When Ethan pays his grandfather a visit, he becomes an unwilling participant in replacing the roof on the old house. Ethan is rather outspoken…that is putting it mildly…and doesn’t seem to have a social filter. He says whatever comes to his mind and thinks later. Ethan has a big, goofy, lovable black lab, Duke, who doesn’t score any points when he chases Catie’s pet geese, Gus and Gertie. Needless to say, Ethan and Catie don’t become instant friends.
Room for Two is Book 4 in the Maple Glen series. You can read it as a stand alone, but I highly recommend that you read the whole series. You won’t be disappointed. I love visiting Maple Glen and can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts in this review are my own.
