The first book in the Justice Squad series and I want to read the next book. This is Puma shifter Stephanie Page and grizzly shifter Max Johnson a rookie on the elite covert squadron Justice Squad’s story. A book I enjoyed reading. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.
The Deep Blue Sea….
Well Stephanie certainly feels like the last girl out, all her friends have found their mates and she’s been waiting for 6 years and nada Fate.com just can’t match her up, might as well turn her phone off for the rest of her vacay. She’s tired of being the only single gal at the Christmas parties so she decides to treat herself to a paradise cruise to the tropical isles. When disaster strikes the high seas Stephanie is set adrift only to wake up to a dream.
Max is just settling in after living hell on his Black Op missions and is ready to just go on missions with his new job at the Justice Squad, it’s all he knows. His boss tells him to join Fate.com to find his mate, but Max feels he is too damaged to be of any use to a lady. Until he sees a girl being circled by a shark in the ocean and he jumps in to rescue her, finding when he nears her that she is his mate.
Will Max accept that Fate intervened to bring him and Stephanie together, or will the stubborn man insist that he is damaged goods.
I’m so glad that Ms Grove wrote up a new series, the Justice Squad is going to rock!
Yet another hot little number from the talented Scarlett Grove, this premier of the Justice Squad series continues on with the “mate.com”, as shifters seek their fated mates with a little bit of help from technology. In this episode, we have the unique heroine, Stephanie, who is a rare female shifter, trying to accept the fact that it doesn’t appear that she will ever find her fated mate. When she decides to hop on a holiday cruise rather than be the fifth wheel to all of her recently mated friends, never could she have predicted what fate had in store for her. Max has a huge complex, feeling his self-applied pressure that he is not worthy of a mate. After leaving his life as an active soldier, and moving into private special ops, he believes he is doomed to live his live solo. But a little bug put into his ear by his boss has him signing up to mate.com just the same, more out of curiosity and boredom than anything else. But all bets are off when he sees his 100% match. What are the chances that he’ll ever find her? Especially when he’s on a “hush hush” mission in the middle of nowhere? Fate tends to have fun with her subjects, are these two any different?
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great book !
Stephanie decided to take a Christmas cruise to the Caribbean.
Was that wise ? Who knows ?
Max was on the same cruise to gather intel on pirates attacking cruise ships.
And what do you think happens?
If you think that pirates decided to attack their ship, then you are correct.
Loved the characters + the storytelling !
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Stephanie Plume and Max Johnson. In this book we learn that Stephanie is from Fate Mountain and has been on mate.com for 5 years hoping to find her mate. This year she just can’t be with all the happy mated couples for Christmas and decides it is time to have an adventure of her own. So she set sail on a cruise ship that will take her through the Caribbean. At this same time Max has just joined Justice Squad from his time in the military. His time undercover gave him a very specific skill-set that the justice squad need right now. There are pirate attacking boats and stealing both passengers and goods. He thought he would join the cruise in the Bahamas and be able to get intel on the crew or kill the leader. Little did he know they would attack a boat of this size. Max believes he is to broken for a mate. Can these two find the mate they have been searching for all their lives or will the mission be more than they can get past?
This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin it for any other reader. I will say this action packed book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
A short story of fated mates and an exciting cruise. I really enjoyed this one it was well worth reading. I read it originally when it was part of a christmas anthology.
I voluntarily received this arc in exchange for an honest opinion.
Two shifters on a cruise, one to escape her loneliness as a single at the holidays and one on a secret mission. Then tragedy strikes the ship they are cruising on Max needs to uses all of his special services knowledge to keep them safe and get them back home. Loved this one and I love to read all of Scarlett Grove’s books. Please keep them coming. I received this book as an arc and I am voluntarily writing this review.
Danger, adventure, and romance abound in this wonderful story! Puma shifter Stephanie planned a nice relaxing Christmas vacation on a cruise ship, but what she ended up with instead is being stranded on an island with the sexiest bear shifter she’s ever met, Max. But can Stephanie convince Matt to give them a chance at love, and for him not to turn his back on them being fated mates?
No one does a bear shifter romance like Scarlett Groves. This the first book in her new series but one of the characters is from her Fate Valley series but it can be read as a stand alone. The is a fun read with tons of action, drama, and some passion with a sweet HEA. It was great fun to meet the guys of the Justice Squad and I can’t wait to meet their mates. This a must read for any shifter Romance lover.
This is a quick read with two entertaining characters Stephanie and Max. He believes he is too broken for a mate and while on assignment and find love, danger and passion on a cruise. I enjoyed the background information and look forward to the secondary character’s stories.
Exciting and romantic suspensful tale. Fate hasn’t been wrong yet, just a bit slow getting here. Stephanie has been so patient waiting for her mate but Max is afraid he’s not good enough. After being blown up, marooned on an island and everything else Stephanie’s not letting him get away. Great story for a break in your day.
Six years! That’s how long Stephanie had waited for a 100% mated on the fated mates dating app. Actually, it was literally a finding your mate site. Most shifters eventually got their match and their happily-ever-after. She’d waited long enough that she didn’t think it would happen for her. A female shifter rarely had problems matching up. All her friends had mates and most had babies. She just couldn’t spend time watching them celebrate their happy Christmas season while she went home alone. This year she was treating herself to a cruise.
Max was now part of the Justice Squad. His history as a Navy SEAL prepared him physically but nothing could change his memories from that time. When he was asked about signing up on the fated mates ap by his JL brothers he didn’t’ think he was worthy. Why he finally filled it out was a mystery. On to his undercover assignment on a cruise ship.
The vacation turned into a disaster. Could they both have met their match only to lose their lives?
A great short story of fated mates and an exciting cruise. I really enjoyed this one it was well worth reading. I read it originally when it was part of a christmas anthology.
Stephanie Page has long watched all her friends find their mates, she is abit down and needs to get away, so she bookes herself on a Cruise hoping that she may find her mate. And find her mate she sure did, but not before the boat is overtaken with Pirates. Max has found his mate, but can he save her and himself, after all he is a navy seal.
A great begining to a brand new series, that i certainly am looking forward to!
