My name is Franchesca, and according to a centuries old prophecy, I am the Golden Queen that is destined to unite the Fey Kingdoms. My entire life has been planned out for me, from the clothes I wear, to who I shall marry. This girl has a heart and a mind of her own. No one will tell me what to do. Not my parents, some old prophecy, or even a sexy Renegade leader. If all that were not enough, now I … were not enough, now I am dealing with a crazy uncle, an impending betrothal, kidnappings, and fated mates.
Just another day in the life of a Princess.
This is a RH and book 2 in a 4 book series

I believe this read is far better than book 1. And I am not talking about the writing style or whatnot. What I meant was how I can personally appreciate the read this time around because the character development was in the works.
I admit it was unfair of me to judge the characters that time. But oh well, that was what I felt that time. I just want to humble myself before you all and apologize for the impatience.
I came across the phrase that the change we might want can’t be done overnight (Franchesca’s non verbatim words). But what I did read is already more than what I am asking for. I saw how the princess did not cower when Rook showed her the injustice of what the inferiors were experiencing esp from the royals.
I have read how she won them over and ultimately winning another fated mate. I am a little biased here when I say I may favor Rook the most. Again, that’s not to say he had no faults.
I am so glad I have read this one because the third book has just released and I am so freaking excited for the Kingdoms to come be united against Armand.
Damn you Riley Walker ladies, you made me add TWO new book boyfriends or my list!! Hawkeye and Rook are so freaking HOT!!! Dark, broody, moody, rough and a little crazy, ugh I’m in love. This was even better than book one, the story got more complicated, the steam factor alone is worth reading this book, and again I got sucked into the story right away and couldn’t put it down (even to go to the bathroom :/ ), and that cliff hanger! Oh man, I can’t wait for the next book, you ladies are talented and deviously creative!
4.5 Stars for 2nd book in the Chess Chronicles!
I absolutely loved this sequel to Knight by Riley Walker! I totally fell for Rook and Hawkeye and was more intrigued by Winston (already loved Knight haha). I cannot wait to see what happens in Book 3, hopefully we don’t have to wait too much longer…yes I know Book 2 just came out but I devoured it and NEED MORE! Can’t wait for Rook to let down more of his walls, for Hawkeye to get more spotlight, and for Winston to finally show how much he cares for Chess and loves her.
I thought Riley Walker did a better in this book providing more character depth and relationship growing between all the characters. Loved the comedic relief with Shelby and Colton! I was heartbroken when something happened to my favorite character, but I can see where it helped bring the group closer together (but I still got teary eyed!). I couldn’t give this book 100% a 5 star because as new authors, the dynamic duo of Riley Walker still have some room to grow and really expand on some scenes and work on their transitions. As I said, this book was much better than Knight in that regards, which is why I bumped it up in rating. Definitely give this series a chance, you will fall for them just as much as I have
I loved this book…Chess is awesome! Knight and Rook seem to compliment each other and work well with Chess too. I can’t say enough about how good this series is so far! And the ending of this book …Awesome! I can not wait for book 3 King!
Sorry I’m not going to give away any spoilers or I’m going to try not to that is.
Omg I don’t have the right words to describe this book other than it is a freaking amazing book!
So many twists and turns so many surprises are in this book. I went through so many emotions that I couldn’t keep track. I laughed, I got angry which I might have even yelled at some point and I even cried at one scene because the authors just had to kill off one of my favorite characters which wasn’t very nice of them at all! And that cliffhanger oh man that made me growl because it was building itself up again and all of sudden I was left hanging on the edge waiting for the climax which didn’t happen and now I have to wait until the next book to see what happens to Frannie and the boys!!
But other than that I loved the book just like I loved Knight.
So yes I most definitely recommend this book for anyone who’s looking for a fantastic story to get completely lost in! But first I recommend you read Knight first if you haven’t already so you don’t get confused as to who is who and what is what!
Five ’s worthy most definitely!
