If you want to stay alive, you better know the rules . . .
Natalia Mayne said, “What’s the first rule?”
“Fear nothing,” I said.
“You have any more?”
“Do unto them before they do unto you.”
“Really?”
”And you don’t owe the truth to people who lie.”
“I’ve never met anybody like you.”
“I’ve heard that before.”

This book really surprised me. It grabbed me from the first. Characters were great
good characters, interesting intelligent hero. I read it non stop. Would recommend it
good book, fast read
Great new character, will follow in subsequent books!!
I am into the second book and plan to read the series. I enjoy Romeo’s quotations of famous and not so famous people; I the take time to look up some of the references to reacquaint myself with ideas that have shaped our existence. Great reading!
unexpected twist
spencer IS STILL THE BEST BUT Romeo IS GOOD
Reacher type hero
A little deep on philosophy at times, but still an enjoyable read.
Action not bad, but main character is repulsive. Mike Romeo would be more likable if he would keep his mouth shut. His constant references to philosophers gets really old, really fast. Okay, so you’re educated?? So?
Entertaining enough to read twice eventually.
I loved the characters in this book.
