“If you were mine, I’d treat you like gold.” How to avoid being romantically incorrect: When your eyes meet his across a crowded room and your heart jolts to a stop, don’t mistake lust for love. Never follow him to a public restroom to tell him how you feel. Don’t stalk him online or to a trendy gay bar in L.A. And do not give him advice on breaking up with his billionaire fiancée who treats him … with his billionaire fiancée who treats him like crap.
Finally, do not offer your house as a haven when the press hounds him, or your arms for comfort when the pressure all around him breaks him into a hundred little pieces.
And, whatever you are hoping for, DO NOT let him model nude for a new art series you are painting.
Artist and model. They hardly know each other. They’ve never dated. But neither can stop craving the other.
Rescue. Hurt/comfort. Nude modeling. Insta-love. L.A. scene. Dealing with fame. Angry billionaire ex. No cheating. HEA.

This book told the difficult story of Landyn’s very public breakup with a rich man who treated him as a possession. Chance was the man who made Landyn realize that he might be able to have more in life, including happiness and real love. I enjoyed the interaction between Landyn and Chance, and I was happy to see Landyn begin to realize that he deserved a good life. I would have liked seeing more of Landyn’s healing and his relationship with Chance growing stronger over time, but I did enjoy the sweet ending. Very nice story!
Landyn and Chance
Landyn was swept off his feet by Julian, with presents, expensive clothes, traveling, you name he gave it to Landyn. In all this turmoil Julian asks Landyn to marry him. All dizzy he said yes. But Julian isn’t really nice or kind. Landyn feels trapped.
At a diner, Landyn eyes got stuck in a pair of intense eyes from a stranger. That changed his life.
Chance is an artist, he paints beauty and he sees the beauty of Landyn, not only his features but more his soul.
In the beginning, it’s more about the break up than something else. But after that… it turned into pure art. Poetry came around the corner. So different from the ugliness from the first half.
Gosh it was overwhelming, the beauty, the contours, graceful, scents, flavors, the soft lines, the worship, pure honest sensual. Pure magic, pure art. It touched me.
This author writes from a somewhat different perspective and it’s refreshing.
A highly romantic story where two sensual men find their true one.
I loved this story very! Worthy of a recommendation
I quite enjoyed reading this sweet MM romance that has a sort of an “instant-love” undertone. The plot was interesting with good descriptions. The complex characters are emotional insecure in the beginning but continue to develop throughout the story-line to become emotional-strong individuals.
There is: a former male child actor (Landyn Tanner) becomes engaged to a rather controlling male billionaire (Julian Felle) then Landyn is approached by a male painter (Chance) who declares his interest & desire for him, paparazzi, press agents, drama, some intrigue, doubts, strange attractions, declarations, shock, disbelief, contemplation, longings, control issues, insecurities, decisions, disagreements, accusations, verbal abuse, rumors, vindictiveness, painful interviews, questions, unexpected TV confrontations, heartfelt apologies, conflict, contentment, love, sensual teasing, some steam & a well-deserved satisfying ending.
Swinging in the rain
I don’t like Julian at all. In fact, I dislike him so much I had trouble reading any part of this book that involved him. I also am not a fan of Landyn’s parents as they need to grow up. Landyn, or Latern/Laundry as I may forever link him in my mind, needs Chance in his life. He’s spent most of his life doing what everyone else wants and Chance, who’s a mix of crazy, bold and sweet, gives Landyn the gift of being himself.
“You woke me up.” I liked watching Landyn‘s transition from just existing to really living for himself. It was beautiful and uplifting. Let me just share that the art scenes in this book were smoking hot. These two bring a lot heat in general but add in painting and wow. “Anything for you. Anything you say.” I really loved experiencing the depth of Chase’s feelings. He might be unconventional but he has a style all his own and Landyn will never doubt that he has someone who puts him first and will always treasure and cherish him.
To thine own self be true: sweet and steamy romance
I really enjoyed the quick pace and plot of this MM romance set in the world of the L.A. rich and famous. The main protagonists, Chance and Landyn, had a supportive sweet and spicy relationship going in no time at all.
Landyn, the former child actor, was the most well-defined and sympathetic character in the piece as he tried to negotiate his own happiness through a field of others’ expectations and demands. Billionaire Julian was a caricature villain, but I did not mind because HE provided the drama. I would not say this was especially profound or that the characters were particularly complex, but the story held my interest in a page-turner way from beginning to end. And what a sweet end!
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Romantically Incorrect by Wendy Rathbone is a contemporary m/m romance with a hurt/comfort flair. The characters of Chance and Landyn are fantastic – sweetness, steaminess, sexiness. The artist and the model. I loved them together. I do love Insta- Love stories, because I do know they happen sometimes to some of us lucky enough to experience it. And they these two meet and fall in love was natural feeling for me within this story. Drama, angst, steam and love make this a fantastic read. The story was well written, intriguing and definitely satisfying.
