Lord Thomas McGovern, Earl of Landry, has been tasked with the mission of finding his abducted brother in Rome. But as a younger son who has never been given any responsibility in his life, he fears he isn’t up to the task. The chance to prove himself when the stakes are as high as they could get is irresistible, though, and he is ready to become the hero he has always wanted to be.Until … be.
Until temptation winks at him.
Actress Violetta Roan is the talk of the Roman theater world for her daring and bold stage presence. But Violetta’s persona hides a darker secret. She has more of a connection with Thomas than first meets the eye, and when Violetta and Thomas team up on a covert mission, sparks fly. Is there more to the passion between them or is Violetta just playing another role?
When the truth is revealed and Thomas finally has a chance to rescue his brother and prove himself worthy, their newfound love is put to the test. Can they complete the mission, or will the dark forces that have been chasing the McGoverns since Paris finally win?
TALES FROM THE GRAND TOUR is a steamy, light-hearted Victorian series, set in the 1890s, that follows the wild, unconventional, often scandalous McGovern cousins as they make their way through Europe and beyond.

I’m loving the Grand Tour novellas & found this engrossing sixth part just as good as the previous ones, once again I read it in a sitting. The story flowed effortlessly & the characters had plenty of depth & on the whole were very likeable. In this book far more clues are revealed & we finally get to meet The Jackal. Thomas & ‘Violetta’ fall hard & fast for each other but the McGovern don’t waste time when the find their soul mates. The chemistry between them was immediate & sizzling. I hope there are more novellas to come as there are things still to be solved & of course Asher needs his HEA
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Ooohh, this is a good one with lots of spying and trying to figure it all out. Of course I finally figured it out but who knew that was coming? Not me. I loved how Thomas was a little bit arrogant but he backed up his claims. Violetta and the working of the theater company was very interesting. Spies everywhere and the Jackal is revealed. I am hoping that Merry will continue on with the series, in Egypt! Love Egyptian history.
I received a complimentary copy from the author.

Thomas is sent ahead of the clan to get in touch with English Columbine.
He has no clue who or what he is looking for. At the hotel he meets Violetta and English lady and she flirts with him. He later realised he has met the person who is the spy to save his brother.
This like others in this series doesn’t disappoint where running around gun fires and dangerous situations presented around every corner.
Not to mention the adult content.
Will the brother Asher be found? Will the Jackal and the dark lady be captured?
Good story. Personally can’t wait to see what happens next in Egypt.
My disclaimer…
I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Though he holds the title of Earl of Landry in his own right, Lord Thomas McGovern has always been treated as very much the inferior, younger son, never quite able to measure up to his brother, now the Duke of Addlebury. When his brother is kidnapped and taken to Rome, Thomas sees his chance to finally prove himself, though his informant from Her Majesty’s Secret Service proves to be quite the temptation.
Violetta Roan has developed a reputation in Rome as a famous actress, but that is merely a clever ruse to hide her true role. Nonetheless, the sparks that fly between Violetta and Thomas are all too real, but neither can afford to be distracted from their life or death mission, especially when their enemies only seem to be growing stronger.
This was another quick, run read that held my attention with its fast pace and had plenty of steam. It’s frustrating that the villains weren’t captured, but they’re foiled for now and I’m looking forward to following more McGovern antics in Egypt.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
