A Regency Robin Hood, a duke’s daughter and deceptions of the heart. To escape her stepmother, the duchess’s matchmaking machinations, Lady Pearl Moreston runs away, pretending to be a common housemaid, with the help of her abigail. When she is rescued from the near-disaster of recognition by a charming serving-man, Pearl pretends to be simple-minded to safeguard herself from any unwanted … any unwanted advances. But soon she begins to suspect that her rescuer is far more than the common servant he seemed at first.
Luke St. Clair lives a double life, pretending to be a gentleman while in reality sustaining himself and the needy as the notorious Robin Hood-type thief, the Saint of Seven Dials. The last thing he needs in his life is a beautiful simpleton in need of protection. But “Purdy” proves to be anything but simple—or common! Once he learns the truth, does he dare continue, in the ballrooms of the elite, the flirtation that began in the slums of London? The risk is enormous, but Lady Pearl’s sweet kisses may just be worth it.
Book 1 of the popular Saint of Seven Dials series!

An exquisite exhilarating story of intelligence, open communication and true love!
The Rogue’s Honor creates independent and caring characters who attempt to help the person they love only to cause more problems before they learn to face the future together. Hiatt takes the rich girl running away and a mysterious man with a secret past and adds a murdering uncle, lost inheritance, and prison break to keep the reader turning the …
Why don’t we have heroes like Luke in today’s world? And Pearl is a joy. Beyond that, I can only deduce that I come from the 19th century and have been shoved in this (gulp, gag) this century — YIKES!
I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, fast paced. Fleeing her stepmother, “Purdy” becomes a servant in order to hide. She takes the house by storm. Excellent read!
I very much enjoyed this book. Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. I want to read the rest of the books.
I received free copy of this for a review. An adorable romance, I found entertaining and interesting.
Luke’s life takes a different path when he meets Pearl, who he believes is a servant, and who turns out to be the daughter of a Duke. Can a thief ever marry a lady? He can if he discovers the secret of his birth. Unfortunately, many things like a not so nice step- mother, keep the two apart. Will love conquer all? A fast-paced enjoyable book that …
Lady Pearl eludes, or more or less runs away to escape a compromising situation planned by her stepmother to force her into a betrothal not of her choosing. Enjoyed the book
Entertaining read for a Sunday afternoon
This was a different story with more twists and turns than a snake! It was hard to put down! This was a delight to read and made a lasting impression on gallantry, manners, and observations on the role of women in society. A great read!
I think Brenda Hiatt did a great job with the genre. Good character building and world building. The chemistry between the leads was solid. I enjoyed this one.
I truly enjoyed reading this Book. Well written Story with Wonderful Characters.
You never know Who people Truly are & what they can provide for you unless someone gives them a chance.
I enjoyed this historical romance. I voluntarily chose to review this and I’ve given it a 4.5* rating. This romance had a lot going on, romance, do gooding, Courting in unusual ways. This is not for the under 18 readers. You put a do-gooder pick pocket and a lady who liked to work for causes together. Then they start helping each other. Stick a …
I got this book for free. It was very predictable and had at least one sex scene in it (I didn’t finish it so I don’t know if there was more, but I would assume more).
There were a lot of holes and gaps that didn’t make sense to me.
This is a hard book to review, as there is many twist and turns in the plot. Lots of understanding, on both Luke’s and Pearl.
Pearl is the daughter of The Duke of Oakshire, a very wealthy and powerful man. Her stepmother is not only evil, but worst then Cinderella’s ! She wants her married before her 21st birthday so she can’t inherit property …
Good story but too much sex.
I truly enjoyed the characters. This was a joy.
Wonderful charters, full of page-turning romantic and steamy entertainment.
I was surprised at what I thought would be a simple, charming read was so much more! Poverty with grace and sense of belonging together, Sudden ominous characters chasing our young couple… chasing through the streets and tunnels of
the city, nearly losing their lives and circling back around to bring all together in a
nice pleasing closure. A …
