Conversation a little stiff but it may just be that the characters were just stiff.
Fun with a Robin Hood feel.
Loved this story. I’ll read it again.
This is the first book in the Forbidden Kisses Series, a sweet British Historical Romance. The characters are amazing, and the storyline is fast paced, filled with adventure. Aubrey Elson did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Rakes Always Kiss First, Mary’s story. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This is a well written story that contains plenty of adventure and romance. The storyline was very engaging and from the beginning I was immersed in the story till the end. The story flowed nicely and I enjoyed seeing it come together. I loved the Robin Hood feel of the story. Constance and Stephen were amazing together and you could really feel their chemistry. There’s plenty of action and drama as you follow their journey to love. The characters are wonderful and well defined with depth and personalities that give them an authentic quality. A great start to a new series. I highly recommend this book!

Adventurous Regency Rogues and Heroines
I enjoyed this story though it moved a bit slow at times for me. The characters were engaging and well developed throughout the story. Adventure, tragedy, true love – that of sisters and friends, and great romantic love that battles through to win their hearts and yours.

Book one in the Forbidden Kisses series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Wonderful story with Constance and her sisters Mary and Emma who escape from their evil stepfather who has arranged marriages for them with his friends and are much too old for the girls, They end up in the forest where they meet Stephan and his friends who try and help those in need. Stephan and Constance are very attracted to each other but also loyal to those who rely on them. Loved this story with romance and suspense.
I enjoyed reading Stephen and Constance’s story, a tale of two people who fall in love but have to make a choice between love and duty. Well written with believable characters and plenty of action.
Constance and her sisters, Mary and Emma, run away when they learn their step-father has betrothed them to men old enough to be their grandfathers! The Man In Black (Stephen) saves them when they are accosted and they end up at his camp in the woods where other people he has saved, live. Not only does he help those in need, he’s also on the lookout for his mother’s murderer. Each person living there contributes by helping out and although the 3 sisters learn to do chores, as well as learning how to protect themselves, Constance is worried for her sisters and has to make the decision of continuing on to London where they can be the ladies they were meant to be or stay with Stephen.
Stephen is torn between continuing his quest and his love for Constance. He knows the kind of life he leads is not one for her and he has many people relying on him. My heart ached for both of them, the decisions that had to be made.
