Demon Accords number 10. When a hunter is brutally mauled in northern Maine, it’s presumed that a black bear is the killer. But an astute local deputy suspects a more supernatural element. His call for assistance is answered by the supernatural community sending one of their very best. If it takes a thief to catch a thief, who do you use to catch a werewolf?
But nothing is ever simple in the … in the preternatural world. There’s more here than meets the eye… nose… ear… or fang.

outstanding!!!!!
I loved traveling back to the world where Declan O’Carroll lives. This was my favorite book of the series so far. The story focuses on Stacia and Declan. This is the 10th book in the urban fantasy Demon Accord series. I love that Declan’s character, despite having overwhelming magical powers, is still sweet, a bit naive, modest, and awkward man which makes him a very likeable hero. Declan is a very powerful male witch which is an anomaly. Usually only females have power. Stacia is a werewolf who received blood from Chris Gordon (a fallen Angel) at the time she was turned which gives her special abilities. In this book, Stacia goes to Maine to investigate what appears to be a killing by a rogue werewolf. As the story progresses, Declan joins her to help to eradicate a rogue werewolf pack being aided by a death magic witch. We finally get to see Declan and Stacia’s budding romance along with more information about Omega. Many of the characters from the other books are in this book as well though in few scenes. There are also some new characters who are introduced. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre – fighting, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, and laughs. I will definitely keep reading the series to see what evil beings and plans are thwarted by Declan, Stacia and the rest of the crew.
I’ve read every one of the Demon Accord books and the series has morphed quite a bit but Rogues? It is mostly the beginning of a new direction and it’s a good one. Imagine a college boy and his super werewolf girlfriend. It sort sounds lame when I say it like that, doesn’t it?
There is nothing lame about this book if you are interested at all in the genre. There is nothing “college boy” about it. It is action. It is interesting. It is unpredictable. It is like none of the previous books in the series but you need to have read those to have the background for Rogues.
It is worth every one of the 5 stars!
Rogues
By: John Conroe
Narrated by: James Patrick Cronin
In this book the blonde werewolf Stasia, Declan’s girlfriend, goes to investigate “bear attacks” but it is so horrific they figure it is werewolves. No one knows she is a were at first. Declan goes up to meet her and finds her in handcuffs. Did I mention he is one of the most powerful witches in the world? 🙂
It is a great story and they most round up rogue weres, keep corrupt corp types off their back, and not get into trouble or killed themselves.
Great narration as usual! Keep it up! Love it!
This is a story centered on Stacia’s and Declan and their abilities and interaction with each other and those around them as they hunt down a rogue were pack headed by a dark witch and demon. Mr. Conroe has once again come up with a page turner plot that shines its light on the two youngest members of Chris team of demon hunters. To those new to the Demon Accords world you could read Rogues as a stand alone book but would be missing so much of their history with each other and their place in the Accords world. So I would recommend going back to the beginning to God Touched a super book that got us all hooked on Mr. Conroe imagination and start an enjoyable journey to book 10 the Rogues.
To those who know about The Demon Accords world, this is one of his best yet. It’s a page turner, stay up to finish book with a great ending with hints on where to go in the future with the story line.
