The offer – $20 billion split between four leading scientists on alternative energies to purchase and then squash their research lines, which include the recent discovery of a powerful new energy source capable of replacing mankind’s reliance on fossil fuels. There’s no doubt their discovery is worth ten times that much. But will any one of them live if they refuse? At the same time, the greatest … the same time, the greatest technological advancement in warfare since the creation of the Atomic bomb has been discovered, and is being offered to the highest bidder.
There is just one problem though; the seller might no longer have any control of the weapon.
Can Sam Reilly weave his way through the web of industrial and political espionage before the human race loses its greatest fight for survival?

Interesting read that moves quickly through the story. Ties together well. The ending seemed a little stretched but I enjoyed the book.
Another good Sam Reilly action story.
A great mystery with a strange but plausible plot.
Too technical. Otherwise a good read.
This wonderful book is full of action and wonderful characters, but it gets bogged down sometimes with scientific explanation. A little science is nice, but this was beyond most peoples ability to understand.
I couldn’t put it down!!
Liked all the nautical/diving technical background while developing the plot.
The book was boring, my goodness enough already about waves, excuse me rogue waves..did not finish.
This is the first book I have read in this series. Will definitely read the rest.
Fast paced and exciting in a few pages it has unexpected enjoyable science.
Christopher Cartwright has a way of describing the impossible in a way that not only seems possible but plausible. His imagination is incredible! I’m so glad this is fiction. I will not waste time trying to summarize this great work. You must read it to truely appreciate this author’s talent!
If you’re a fan of Clive Cussler, or a diver, this is for you!
Move over Clive Cussler, this author will give you a run for your money. Wow!!!!!!
It was a bit more Sci-Fi than I normally read, but I couldn’t put it down.
Loved the mix of science into the story!
I really enjoyed this story which has water adventure, scuba diving, sci-fi, treasure-hunting, political intrigue and more.
The only downside was that the science just got too long and heavy, sometimes.
Still very entertaining, though.
similar to Clive Cusslers type of story!
This is similar to a Clive Cussler book- a little unlikely, but entertaining and full of action b
Roller coaster adventure
I did not finish this book, it didn’t hold my interest at all.
