DylanI’m the crown prince of Villroy, but instead of taking the king’s throne like I should have, my father got us all exiled. I’d complain, but he had good reason. Now our once royal family lives in Brooklyn, and I’m about to inherit a new kingdom: my uncle’s construction business. It’s an opportunity to build my real estate empire and make something of myself. All I need is an experienced … an experienced person to help take it to the next level. And then the girl who grew up next door to me—all woman now—shows up with just the business experience I need.
Too bad Ariana Bianchi hates me. I used to think it was undeserved—fallout from our families’ longtime feud—but there was this one time…
Ariana
I’m newly divorced and crashing at my parents’ house until I can get my life on track for my ultimate goal of having a baby with the help of a sperm bank. It’s the reason for my divorce—he didn’t want kids—and at thirty-one the clock is ticking. So when the gorgeous pig of a man, Dylan Rourke, shows up at my parents’ house to ask me to work as a consultant for his company, I see an opportunity. He wants something from me? Yeah, well, I want something in return, too.
Only Dylan makes this way more complicated than it needs to be.

Just sheer fun! The mothers are a hoot.
A fun fantasy about an average young woman looking for a job and a prince interviewing for a wife. Lots of intrigue.
I enjoyed this story with a twist on royal characters. Well developed characters and an interesting plot made this an enjoyable read.
kept my interest
A fun story with wonderful characters. Always fun to read about royalty,
Caught my attention and I couldn’t stop….
It went a bit fast for me where the plot could’ve had a bit more.
It was great to see the hero and heroine become prince and princess
Sweet story, I felt that the author could have done more with character development. It ended very abruptly.
A crownn prince growing up in Brooklyn? Dylan is a devoted older brother, loving son, capable businessman, sexy AND a prince — no surprise that his neighbor Ariana has been attracted to him since their teen years. Several story lines keep it interesting and all the supporting cast/families are fun
11/05/2020 “Rogue Prince” (nook) was intense and sweet. Dylan and Ariana grew up together but went their separate ways when she left for college. Upon her return, even after several years, the chemistry was still there. After various struggles, a HEA.
Loved the plot
I’m waiting for my prince.
Awesome book
Part of a series, but a great stand alone. It is a fun story set in Brooklyn with a bit of connection to an island country called Villroy. Lots of jumps in time to pick up needed background events. I liked the story, even though you have to set reality aside. There is a portion that is lots and lots of descriptive sex with little story in it …. you can skim past it. Nice ending.
Kylie Gilmore continues her Rourkes series with Rogue Prince, a royal romantic comedy about the oldest New York Rourke and the girl he thought had gotten away.
Dylan Rourke has royal blood, but he’s about to inherit a very different kind of kingdom. His uncle’s construction company, with its very own challenges, responsibilities and expectations. That’s ok though because he has his brothers as co-owners to help out. Yet, if he wants to expand and branch out, he’ll need added help. Fortunately his next door neighbor just moved back. Unfortunately, she might hate his guts.
After reassessing her priorities, Ariana Bianchi is back in Brooklyn and is certain of several things. She’s thirty-one-year-old divorcee who needs a job, wants a baby and clock is ticking. Two, Dylan Rourke might just be the answer to all of the above.
Kylie pens a fun and flirty lighthearted story full of great banter, a sassy and determined heroine, a very loyal and charming hero with a, touching moments and hot sexy times.
Both Ariana and Dylan are equally delightful characters. Their back story drew me in and kept me turning pages. I LOVED Ariana’s mother. I could practically picture her as the epitome of a New Yorker and revisiting King Gabriel and Queen Anna was lovely.
Rogue Prince is book #7 of the Rourkes series by Kylie Gilmore. It’s a standalone, enemies to lovers romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending.
This enemies to lovers story has bold characters, sarcasm, and humor. It is sweet and sexy. I could almost hear the characters talking as I got lost in their story. This is the first book of the series I have read, and although it’s actually the 7th in the series, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. The author was able to provide background story without taking away from the story at hand. The character development happened throughout the book, rather than all in the beginning, allowing a fast paced immersive story while still letting me get to know and love the characters. I’ll be going back to read the rest!
Well, this certainly switches things up! The Rourkes of Villroy are old-school monarchy, ruling over their island kingdom for centuries. The new generation of Rourkes is determined to revive the economy and modernize (a bit) the traditions for their subjects. Meanwhile, back on another island….
Well it’s back to the tip of an island, known as Long Island, where there is another Rourke family ruling over their domain. It is “across the pond” from Villroy, and these are the exiled Rourkes, created when Crown Prince <> of Villroy gave up the crown for love and emigrated to America. Eldest son Dylan Rourke should have been the Villroy Crown Prince, but instead he is getting ready to take over his uncle’s construction business and become a real estate mogul as well. It’s all good, until Ariana Bianchi shows up back home….
Oh boy, this one was a fun ride! See, Ariana and Dylan have a history as neighbors turned frenemies but with Dylan needing someone with experience with marketing real estate and Ariana looking to have a baby – well, let the games begin! I am loving these Rourkes of Brooklyn. They are just as hard-working, loyal, and gorgeous like the Rourkes on Villroy, but with dirt under their nails and a thick Brooklyn accent. Dylan was easy to fall in love with, and Ariana? Who doesn’t love a sassy heroine who is smart and no pushover! This author knows how to make her characters come alive on the pages – her spot-on writing made Ariana and Dylan’s chemistry flame up off the charts. Add in a bunch more of handsome Rourkes, stir up a long-time ugly neighbor feud (where is that silver serving spoon?) and a pinch of Villroy Royalty for the perfect mix of romance, steam, and smiles!
This is a great start to the spin off series from the royal Rourkes. We get to meet the Brooklyn cousins and it’s not disappointing. The banter and verbal sparring between the brothers was so amusing. The chemistry between Ariana and Dylan sizzles from the start and the love scenes were steaming hot. My only criticism at all was that I didn’t find it believable for Dylan to rush into the relationship as quick as he did.The bickering mother’s were so funny. We get to know more about Daniel in this book, the man who should have been king of Villroy if he hadn’t abdicated for love. I really enjoyed the book , It’s pure escapism at it’s best.
