This is a new author to me, and I love her wonderful use of descriptive writing so that I had no problem picturing the scenes in my head as I read the story. This is fast-paced full of action from the start to the finish. Cole doesn’t want to be the hero, but he has no choice, he doesn’t hit it off straight away with Anna but as they have to work together so that everyone survives, they find common ground and their relationship moves forward. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more in the series.

The second book in this author’s SAS Rogue Unit series has a lot of good things going for it. I enjoy the Special Forces guy/regular gal trope these days; there’s something to be said about a strong man who wants to protect his woman (or, rather, the woman he wants to BE his woman). I liked the South African setting and the descriptions reminded me of my trips to Africa. I also like this author’s style of writing; there is no beating around the bush (sorry, pun not intended). The action just moves along at a rapid pace. I also liked how some of the important information was rolled out slowly, which added a little bit of mystery to the story. I think the first book had a slightly better plot, but this was an enjoyable read, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. This review was written based on a complimentary pre-release digital ARC.
The story highlights the beauty of Southern Africa and doesn’t shy away from the dark side, in this case Ivory poachers. If only they could all get the same fate that was meted out in this book……..Lots of action and intrigue.
A sweet love story.
It could have done with another proofreading as there were still errors such as extra/repeated words in sentences.
Another great read, with lots of chemistry and hotness. This is a well written story and hooked me from the start. This is a quick hot read, with a interesting plot and fantastic characters, great emotion and Loads of steam!

This book would have been better if the action hadn’t started till Chapter 18 when Anna was kidnapped by the poachers. Up until then all it talked about was the african trip and all the stops they made.

This book is full of sweeping details of the landscape or the setting. When reading the words you can see such pretty scenery in your mind. Cole and Anna get off to a somewhat bad start but in the end they prevail. I like that Anna is so adventurous and takes the leap before looking. I also like that she tries to hold that part of herself back. I like that Cole is so convinced that he is what he sees himself in his head, because he is so much more. The backstory and action/suspense is fun and so is the cast of secondary characters. A very good book.

A quick easy flowing read. A bit of intrigue and mystery. A kidnapped woman, saved by an SAS man. Love wins in this end. The story did provide lots of details about Africa. The tour guide seems to find trouble and needs a lot of rescuing.
