I was intrigued by this book and it was something a little different than what I am used to but I was immediately sucked into the storyline and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I couldn’t read this second chance love story fast enough.
Ian Wallace had wanted to catch Nikolai Mateev, a Russian drug lord, for years. It was the most important thing in his life, even coming between him and his fiancee, Petra Sloane. They had not seen each other for a couple of years so Ian was surprised when she called him. Petra was a sports agent and one of her clients had been murdered. She was a suspect. The only person she could think of to help her was her ex, Ian, the owner of Rocky Mountain Justice. He helped her as much as he could but he had just shut down RMJ limiting his resources. But he was good at tracking down criminals so he got to work. As he looked into the murder he wondered if there was a connection to the Russian he had been hunting.
As Ian and Petra spent time together, their feeling resurfaced. Between the suspense and romance, I didn’t want to put this book down!
Even though this is the third book in the Rocky Mountain Justice series you don’t need to read the other books for this to make sense. But you will want to.
Petra has it all or so she thinks she doesn’t have the man she loves and still wants. Ian’s live is work work work finding the Russian who has evaded him for years is his life that is until Petra comes barging back into his life needing his help. Can he help her and walk away this time> An exciting story of twists and turns when you least expect them. This is a fantastic book that will have me wanting to read the others from this series. A must read i would highly recommend to others.
4 1/2 STARS!
Exciting from start to finish! With the next book in the Rocky Mountain Justice series we get the story of former lovers who are thrown together again during a dire situation and watch them work together to find answers, and in the process start to repair their relationship. There are several unexpected turns that kept my attention, the characters were easy to connect with, and overall the story was full of mystery. Really enjoyed!
Denver sports agent Petra Sloane was simply going about her day when all of a sudden she finds herself in the midst of a mess she’s not so sure she can get out of. She calls on the only person she can think of who might be able to use his connections to help her … even if he’s the last person she really wants to be seeing again.
Ian Wallace has spent the majority of his life catching the bad guys … sometimes to the detriment of the rest of his life, but it matters a lot to him. He’s on the trail of the man he will stop at nothing to catch when he hears from Petra. He starts to investigate and wonders if her problems might actually bring him closer to the man he’s determined to catch!
