New York Times Bestselling Author Vivian Arend brings you the first STAND ALONE book in the bestselling SIX PACK RANCH series.————-Sometimes love is right there for the taking.Responsible oldest of six brothers, Blake Coleman knows his desire for the sweet girl-next-door is wrong. While Jaxi has grown into a western-hat-wearing blonde with slim legs that go on forever, the responsible … western-hat-wearing blonde with slim legs that go on forever, the responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.
Jaxi has other plans for Blake’s hands, and his heart. She’s more than ready to convince him they’d be perfect together, but he can’t seem to see past the big “don’t touch” sign that’s apparently hanging around her neck.
When Jaxi ends up living on the Six Pack ranch right under Blake’s nose, the undeniable heat between them slides off simmer and up to barn-burning levels. When a couple of Blake’s younger brothers decide Jaxi’s brand of trouble is worth getting tangled up with, Blake’s going to have to let go the reins and fight for what he really wants—her heart, forever.
Warning: Unapologetically sexy, this book contains cowboys seducing and being seduced: in trucks, pool halls, and barns. Drool-worthy country charm, a little double-teaming, and a lot of secrets are revealed as the Coleman family saga begins. Saddle up and ride.

Arend writes good romance books – nothing shocking or unique but good characters and story.
Really liked this book, but it left you hanging at the end. I realize that is the way to sell a book, but it is beyond annoying. I can’t recall if this was free, but i would rather include both for a price. I would be hesitant to buy or even accept a free one from this author.
Enjoyed the story but too much sex
Blake and Jaxi have been dancing around each other for years. He thinks she’s too young and off limits. This hasn’t stopped Jaxi from pursuing Blake though.
I really liked the family dynamic in this book. It was a little weird that at one time they all had liked Jaxi but it was the oldest that had her heart forever.
I loved how the brothers played off each other and helped Blake realize what has been in front of him all along.
I can’t wait to read the next book.

Rocky Mountain Heat was the first book in the Six Pack Ranch series by Vivian Arend. The series focused on the six Coleman brothers in the small town, Rocky Mountain House.
And good Lord all the brothers were walking sex. They each had their own personality and brand of sexy but they were all hot AF in their own way.
Blake Coleman was the eldest Coleman sibling at thirty one. He was the most responsible and serious, always doing what he thought was expected of him. He lusted after Jaxi but she was too young so he refused to give it merit.
Jaxi had grown up with the Coleman’s, not literally in the same house, but the youngest siblings, twins Jesse and Joel, were her best friends. She was twenty one, gorgeous, sexy and innocent. She had crushed on Blake forever but the age difference was too much until now.
I liked the set up for the series better than I liked Blake and Jaxi. I didn’t dislike them, but I didn’t like the way her relationships with all the other Coleman’s were spelled out – no spoilers, so no elaboration, but it was a little odd to me. Additionally, it was told primarily from Blake and Jaxi’s POV, but there was a secondary story being told through Matt’s POV. It was an interesting subplot.
Overall, I liked the characters, the story and the set up for the series. It was sexy and fun and had long term promise to be sizzling hot as well as all have interesting stories. I can’t wait to read them all, but the twins- man, that scene was hot! Next up is Daniel in Rocky Mountain Haven.
3 stars because of Jaxi’s juvenile behaviour. I think Blake deserved someone more mature but he acted a bit stupid too.
Flitting around all the other brothers and getting them all sexually steamed is mean and then Jaxi wonders why there is a problem.
If Jaxi had been more grown up and just told Blake her was her forever and NOT carried on with the brothers I would have liked this book more.
Not a gripping read and a predictable ending. Could do with being rewritten.
I normally love this authors books and have read some of this series further on and enjoyed them, hoping it was just this first book.
Blake has had a thing for Jaxi for quite some time but he’s kept away from her because he is 10 years older and has known her since she was a child. He has a hard time with his attraction to her now that she is grown and feel’s it’s just not right for him to feel this way about her.
Jaxi has been in love with Blake since she was 10 and she is tired of waiting around for him to see that she is grown up now and all woman. She sets out to get her man and once she has him, the sparks fly among other things.
I liked this book. The family farm with all the sexy cowboy brothers appealed to me. Jaxi and Blake were likeable characters and I found myself rooting for them.
This is the second book that I read by this author and it was very good. I love the way she writes because she brings the main characters to life. The woman is always a strong woman and the men are all male. The books are stand alone but the stories are entangled and are excellent read.
