A STAND ALONE story in the bestselling SIX PACK RANCH series by New York Times Bestselling Author Vivian Arend————-Nothing comes easy. You’ve gotta work for it.Matt Coleman always figured at this point in his life, he’d be settled down with a family. Since his ex split for the big city, though, no way will he give anyone else the chance to drop-kick his heart. Physical pleasure? Hell, … anyone else the chance to drop-kick his heart. Physical pleasure? Hell, yeah, he’ll take—and give—with gusto, but nothing more.
Hope Meridan is working long hours to hold on to her new quilt shop, going it alone since her sister/business partner ran off. Sex? Right, like she’s got the time. Not that she doesn’t have the occasional dirty fantasy about Matt. Fat chance he’d dream of knocking boots with her—the younger sister of the woman who dumped him. Nope, she’ll just have to settle for friendship.
Friends would be far easier if there wasn’t something combustible going on between them. And when casual interest starts to grow into something more, their tenuous bond strengthens in the heat of desire. But it may not survive the hurricane-force arrival of the last person either of them ever wanted to see again…
Warning: Small-town rivals, men in pursuit and family meddling—in good and bad ways. Look for a cowboy who knows how to rope, ride and rein in a hell of a lot more than eight seconds of sheer bliss.

Ah those Coleman men are what dreams are mad for. They love fiercely and loyally. Great characters. Great chemistry. Great ending.
Rocky Mountain Desire (Six Pack Ranch #3) by Vivian Arend – Matt gets his heart broken and Hope loses her sister/roommate/business partner when Helen leaves town. But the two of them can’t seem to help circling one another. Very sweet! Happy Reading!
I’m so happy that we got to read about Matt. He had been briefly mentioned since the first book and his dealings with his then girlfriend. This is Matt’s book and we watch him finally get his HEA.
Matt is a wonderful man. All he wants in a woman who he can come home too. A woman he can care for and protect and most importantly who wants him back. After the stuff his ex puts him through he wonders if he can ever find love. With his two older brothers happy and his younger brothers still sowing their wild oats he is a little lost.
Hope is the younger sister of Matt’s ex. She is a warm and caring individual. She works hard and helps others in need. She has secretly loved Matt for years but being he was with her sister she didn’t think she stood a chance.
I loved watching these two together. There was already a warmth and familiarity surrounding them. They were already acquaintances and friends and reading about these two become more was fun to read.
I enjoyed this book. It’s like coming home. We are reintroduced to characters we’ve met earlier.
Altho the path has bumps, true love trumps all.
I love the friends to lovers scenario in this and all done with the Coleman family giving advice, helping and getting underfoot.
I really enjoyed the honesty and bluntness Matt and Hope had in their relationship. Saves a lot of grief.
Matts rotten ex just happens to be Hope’s sister, which makes for a few interesting times when Helen pops back to town.
Matt was a charmer, slowly working his way to realising he had a great future ahead of him with Hope.
The quilt completion was a superb idea, I loved the fact the men had to do it themselves and the surprise at the end was so cute.
I like the different stories lines – no one quite the same which made them such a good read and caused me to look out for the rest of the series.
I usually don’t read books like this…but I loved it!
I enjoyed the book and the series so far.
Vivian Arend always delivers!
Same old story, cowboys, quilts, blah, blah, blah.
There is a plot here and likeable characters.
This book had none of the stuff I hate like too much stress and the heroine winding up pregnant in the end. It had lots of stuff to love. It was a great story, it was well paced, the dialog was terrific and there was humor when appropriate. The characters were charming, especially Matt, and I really liked Jaxi, too. I must have a happy ever after ending and this author didn’t disappoint me. I’ll be looking into her other books, as this is the first I’ve read. I also love that each book is stand alone.
I always enjoy books written by Vivian Arend. They are focused on family and the love scenes are hot, hot, hot.
