She’s been hurt too many times… he’s unlike any man she’s ever known. Now he’s become the greatest threat to her heart, because there’s no possible future for them. Not when he’s leaving the country in a few weeks. And when her worst fears are realized, she must risk everything by placing her trust in in his hands.

Scotsman Aidan MacIntyre never saw the fiery, beautiful Tiana coming. The prickly redhead has gotten under his skin as badly as he wants to get under hers. But she’s determined to keep walls between them. Luckily the former Royal Marine doesn’t know how to give up. Someone from her past wants to hurt her, but Aidan will stand between her and any threat. Tiana is a single mother who has been through a lot. She has sworn off men until Aiden sets his eyes on her. Aiden is Scottish and is friends with Tiana friends husbands. The harder Tiana pushes Aiden away, the more he falls for her. When an disaster hits and forces them to be together, Tiana slowly lets her walls down. But when Aiden’s work visa runs out and his contract job starts soon, can they make a long distance relationship work?
My favorite story of the Crimson Point series. It’s funny, sexy, suspenseful, and will leave you on the edge of your seat. I hated for it to end. I believe I could read about them forever. Mrs. Cross makes her characters come alive and her story sucks you right in.

Tiana has had it with men! After her third long term relationship ended when she found out he had tried to molest her daughter, Tiana is giving up on men. Pit her stupid body didn’t get the memo. It heats up every time a certain fiery Scotsman gets anywhere near her. But Ella is her priority and she won’t knowingly put her in harms way again.
Aidan has had tough scrape himself with love but when he finds out what Tiana and Ella have been through, his blood boils. He wants to get his own turn with the slimy paedophile. But Tiana, well she brightens his day but he has to leave soon over a visa glitch. He is not about to pursue something with her.
But Tiana has more on her plate than a potential romance – Ella’s father has come back into her life and now she is panicking he’ll use her disastrous past to get custody! Sadly we haven’t seen the last of Brian either!
Plenty of twists and turns to keep you happy! Tiana is a bit of a Witch with a capital B to Aidan but you can totally see where she is coming from and even Aidan decides she was just being a good mum. Aidan is persistent but not stalkerish!
I enjoyed the way that although there was a HEA, they did have to wait a bit! So sad to leave the Crimson Point gang behind!
5 Final Stars
This series could not have ended with a better book! Aidan and Tiana were a long awaited couple, the attraction was there but the baggage was big. This book was full of action, suspense and will tug at your heartstrings. Add in some lust and laughs…what you have is a book you will not want to put down to do anything else! I love everything about Aidan and Tiana is strong and special in so many ways, so he is a wonderful match for him. The addition of a sweet and smart little girl just makes this book the perfect, and bittersweet, ending to Crimson Point!

Oh wow.
This book had a bit of everything in it and definitely wasn’t what I was expecting.
My heart feels like it’s gone through the wringer. I spent so much of this book white knuckling my kindle. Definitely recommend and my favourite of the series so far.
Loved this series.
I always love Kayla Cross’ books!
Wow…what a GREAT series! This was a fantastic book…you’ll absolutely LOVE Walter! (He’s been a favorite character since book 1)! I haven’t read anything by Kayla Cross that wasn’t excellent! I’m off to book 5. ENJOY!
Finally Mac and Tiana have their HEA, but not without many obstacles they have to overcome. Such a sweet story that includes Ella as well.
Book 4 in the Crimson Point series. This is without question the best book of the series. I didn’t know how Ms. Cross would be able to top book 3 but she did. It was a great ending to a great series. OMG Aiden is a superhero! There are two dramatic scenes that are expertly written and a beautiful HEA ending. Wonderful characters.
I have to say that I really enjoyed this series, especially looking back. I have been on a romance kick for the past year and have read dozens of them. I was looking for something with more substance than the trite, banal, basic romance and I found it in this series. This is my first series from this author–her descriptions of dramatic scenes and development of her characters is excellent, and I love that she includes characters from her previous books in each subsequent one. Most series basically drop the previous couples once they have gotten together and I would really like to continue their story too, so I appreciate how much we see them through the whole series. Once I got over the degree of violence in the stories and knew what to expect I fully enjoyed them.
Aiden really loves his job here with Beckett, unfortunately his work visa is expiring and it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to get it renewed. This is especially disturbing since he wants to stay and he wants a chance to be more than a friend to Tiana.
Tiana is very protective of Ella more so than ever since the truth of her ex Brian has come to light. In this book she has another problem, Ella’s father, Evan, the musician who left them high and dry now wants his parental rights. By paying back child support he will also be able to meet Ella. We get to meet Lizzie, Tiana’s aunt who is quite the character. She gives us plenty of insight into their lives. Tiana also has a meeting with Evan prior to the visitation which will supervised by a court advocate. The meeting went well but it would still be Ella’s decision.
You know of course things never go totally smooth, right? Aiden has a meeting with his lawyer and Tiana has one with hers since they are both in the same place they travel to Portland together. Ella is dropped off to a friend’s home for a long anticipated birthday party/sleep over.
Neither meeting was what they expected and to top things off an earthquake hits while they’re in the elevator leaving. Did I mention all hell breaks loose?
Plenty of interesting events as Aiden and Tiana make their way home. Tense moments, added suspense and a whole lot of romance and tears.
I think this was my favorite of this series, well at least until I read the latest.
Little Ella finally meets her real dad and gets the forever dad she wanted! Yes, Mac and Tiana learn to be tolerant, then under extreme circumstances develop respect and finally found love. I adored how Ella and her needs were always kept at the forefront of decisions.
Tiana Fitzgerald has sworn off men after the disaster of her last relationship, especially since she has to put her daughter Ella first. But every time she sees Aiden “Mac” MacIntrye it gets harder to ignore the attraction, especially since he is so good with Ella. But with every hour she spends with Aiden the more she realizes he is unlike any man she has ever met. He might just be the perfect person for her and her daughter.
Since the beginning of the series I have liked Tiana. She was a hardworking, single mom, who was just trying to do the best she could for her daughter. I really admired her. I understand her reluctance to trust men and push them away after learning about her past. The first part of the book is basically Tiana ignoring her feelings and pushing Mac away. Once she gets past that their relationship slowly grows and is beautiful. I loved the slow pace and the development of their feelings for each other.
I really liked Mac. He was loyal, dedicated, and a great guy. He is determined to change Tiana’s feelings about him from the beginning. I quite enjoyed how determined he was to prove Tiana wrong and break down her barriers. The scenes with him and Ella are perfect as well.
Overall, this was an easy read that I quite enjoyed. I loved the epilogue. It was so sweet and made a great ending to the book.
Reader Warning: References to child abuse and pedophilia.
Tiana is a single mom and has no time for relationships. Aiden is a former Royal Marine and when he first sees Tiana he is drawn to her. Tiana is determined to push Aiden away because she is wary of her judgement when it comes to men. However Aiden won’t let her push him away especially when it looks like she might be in trouble from someone in her past. Can Aiden show her that he is different from the men she has known? Will Tiana give Aiden a chance at her heart?
This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Finally we have Aidan’s story and Tiana is the perfect woman for him. Right away there is tons of sexual chemistry but we see Tiana coming out of her shell of well being over protective. Her choices in men lately have not been good especially for her little girl. Once again Kaylea Cross doesn’t disappoint and seeing how far everybody has come along a way was a great treat to see. This is one series you don’t want to pass loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Tiana has experienced some difficult situations in a short amount of time and she feels has put Ella in danger. Now she doesn’t trust her instincts and she has become overprotective of Ella. That’s why she won’t let herself believe that Aidan doesn’t have ulterior motives for befriending Ella even though he’s friends with and works for her friend and neighbor Beckett.
Aidan is determined to break through the barriers Tiana has erected between. With the help of Tiana’s aunt, he starts to make progress and they are able to spend time together with her guard down. When someone threatens Tiana and Ella, Aidan is ready to protect them and prove his worth.
Tiana Fitzgerald has suffered through some rough times, but her saving grace is her daughter Ella and her close friends. One of those friends is Aidan MacIntyre…at least he wants to be her friend and much more if she will let him. Tiana has made some bad choices in the past including Ella’s father, Evan, who left them to pursue his music. Now Evan is interested in establishing a relationship with Ella. Ella is her whole world; how can she trust that Evan will not hurt her little girl? Tragedy strikes Crimson Point and Aidan proves that he can protect her as the world rocks around them. When a man from her past decides to seek vengeance on Tiana and Ella, can Aidan protect them? What will she and Ella do if Aidan has to return to Scotland? Ms. Cross knows how to draw you in to the story and characters as you live through the suspense, hope and love. This has been one of the best series I have read and Tiana’s (and Ella’s) story was all that I could have hoped for. I just love Ella as Ms. Cross has put so much heart in to this little girl. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
What a surprise this book turned out to be. I liked it so much that I just couldn’t put it down. I ended up being able to read it in one sitting. That’s how fast it pulled me in. As I was reading it at first I thought, “maybe I would give it 4 stars on Amazon.” It sure didn’t take long for me to change my mind and decide it deserved the full 5 stars instead. Part of the reasons is because of the super good main characters and all the emotions and action in the book.
Aidan saw Tiana as beautiful, wild and mysterious. He also thought, He liked the sarcastic edge to her responses. Sarcasm was a sign of high intelligence and a healthy mind. He knew he was sarcastic as hell. Now if he could only break through to her. His friends gave him the nickname, “Mac” and it didn’t take long for Tiana’s daughter Ella to do the same. The affection between the two was quick and solid. Mac definitely proves that he is hero material and a tenderness develops between him and “his girls”.
Ella was one charming little girl who had gone through so much. And the dangers to her weren’t quite over yet. I thought the author did a great job developing Ella’s character, it had depth to it.
Aunt Lizzie shows up in the book to visit with Tiana and Ella. She doesn’t stay real long but you can see the good impact that she has and has had in their lives. There are also some good secondary people who surround our main characters and are there to support them with friendship and help.
Great unexpected twists happen in the book and include a very good Epilogue.
On another note, I did learn something as I read this book. It’s about a celebration called, “Hogmanay” that is a Scottish tradition.

Rocky Ground is Book 4 in the Crimson Point series and it was as amazing as I was expecting it to be! Tiana and Aidan’s story is a standalone but you do get snippets of them in the previous books.
Due to some really horrible past relationships, Tiana has closed off her heart from any romantic entanglements, at least until her daughter is fully grown or if ever. So when Aidan shows up into their lives, she was not very nice to him. Aidan, a very sexy Scottish Former Royal Marine, is working on ways to extend his time in the States, but things are not looking good for him. Tiana captivated him and he adores little Ella, but with his circumstances and the wall that Tiana has surrounded herself, he was unsure he could get through. But when Tiana’s past returns and causes havoc and even places them in danger, Aidan’s protective instinct kicks in and was determined to keep both Tiana and Ella safe.
I loved this book so much, there was a lot that happens and it kept me engaged the whole time.
A man out for revenge, a change of heart from a deadbeat dad and a natural disaster were just some of the complications, but these two are resilient and together they can get through anything.
It was also so great to catch up with all the other characters from the previous books and I have to especially give a shout out to Walter (loved the dune buggy scene!!) and all those other four-legged cuties. The epilogue was just amazing and made my heart swoon and was perfect. This was a wonderful story and I highly recommend it.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Rocky Ground thru Netgallery . I really think this is a fantastic story . This may be one of my favorite stories . Tiana is a fierce protective momma to beautiful little Ella , after some terrible experiences . Of course a mother would be .
Aidan ( Mac ) is one sexy Scotsman .He is very attracted to Tiana and loves Ella .
Tiana is not so friendly to him .
She’s doubting her judgement of men do to the past so she’s very guarded around Aidan and fights her attraction to him . This story is very intense . On the edge of your seat suspense and definitely action packed . I found myself drawn into the story because of it’s intriguing danger through out the story . It’s definitely a page Turner . The characters are a fabulous caring group . They’re so supportive to Aidan and Tiana and Ella . This is a fantastic book in the Crimson Point Series . I highly recommend taking the time to read this story . Definitely a 5 read .
Oh hell, that was an awesomely hard read, as a single parent that lighthouse scene was freaking emotional wow I’m trying to hold back tears while I’m yelling at Ella to run talk about anxiety-inducing.
Well, that ending was the BEST ending ever after going through the massive gambit of emotions this book brought out in me I have to say the ending was worth it all.
Rocky Ground was a truly emotional and magical story that really brought my heart back to Crimson Point and cemented how much I love this place and the Characters from there.
