“Fine,” I finally agreed, “But no sex.” I blurted out the last bit without even thinking.I can’t believe that I agreed to move in with him. Zane Parker, a billionaire who owns multiple businesses, has just bought my record label. He is hot, rich and always needs to be in control. With danger lurking around every corner, and animosity growing by the second, my world is completely shaken. I will … by the second, my world is completely shaken.
I will not relinquish control.
I cannot fall in love with him…again.
The way he touches me, the fear I see in his eyes when I’m hurt;
Can I trust him with my heart this time?

Chelsea Greene’s Rockstar’s New Roommate: A Second Chance Protector Romance has all sort of angles. The male lead here, Zane, may have thought he left Carrie for a good reason (so as to not overshadow her career – a pretty lame excuse) but how he did it, by suddenly ghosting her, was a total jerk move. Now he wants a second chance – and by the way he’s a billionaire and had recently bought her label and, oh yeah, there’s a stalker after Callie. Not an auspicious start but on the way to the HEA everything does get worked out, and it’s in a way that’s totally enjoyable for readers. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

Main Characters: Corrie and Zane
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
Corrie and Zane were in a relationship about 5 years ago or so when suddenly Zane breaks it off. Convincing himself he was doing it for Corrie and her career. He thought he would be overshadowing her. Now Zane is very wealthy and trying to win Corrie back by buying her record label. This is told in duel POV’s. This book had romance, suspense and drama. Good second chance and would have liked a better epilogue. Recommend it. Would like to read more by this author.
(Review with spoilers)
Nice romance. I loved it.
5 years ago, Zane and Corrie were in a relationship, but he left her. He wanted to help her, to succeed on her own in music, not by being with him. But he didn’t say anything to her and she thought he was leaving her for another woman, more important than her. He broke her heart and she d didn’t want to see him again, although she still thinks about him. She never believed that he would ever enter her life again, let alone the way as he did.
I loved their romance. Neither has managed to forget the other, even though they have tried. And the two wonder what their lives would be like if they stayed together.
I love them together, but at the same time both despair me. They should talk more to each other, tell each other how they feel, not act behind each other’s backs and expect each other to accept things. They have to change, to open up. Don’t try to control the other, which is what Zane did, and he’s trying to avoid. He doesn’t want to control her, he tells her. He wants to take care of her. And she doesn’t bother listening to him, trying to understand him. They both need to grow up to be able to be together.
I would have liked to have seen more of Ryoko.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.
Ms. Greene, I, personally would like to thank you for delivering this beautiful jewel of a book. Rockstar’s New Roommate is everything romance reader’s look for in a release. In their second chance at love, Zane, purchases Corrie’s label and although she is forced to deal with him, it is certainly not willingly. If Corrie can put aside her pain, she’d see that he has always loved her. When Corrie’s safety threatened by a fan, Zane puts security in place to keep her safe, however, she views it as his need for control and rebels. Can these two amazing characters find a balance before the threat finds her?
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Rockstar’s New Roommate in exchange for my honest/voluntarily given opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Greene.
I was looking forward to reading this book. The story is good and the characters are well-defined. I liked Zane and could understand his reasoning but did not like Corrie at all. I couldn’t relate to the character at all. I found it hard to believe she disagreed with everything Zane said. She was really shallow and self-absorbed. Maybe that’s how rockstars really are. The book was good and I will read more by this author. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
Zane & Corrie loved each other years ago when he left her. He returns into the picture as the owner of her label which surprises her & she’s furious. Underneath all that anger, she still loves him. She despises his over-the-top protectiveness. She feels like a trapped prisoner & wants to feel normal & free, before she became a famous rock star. When her life is threatened, she realizes Zane loves her & doesn’t want her harmed. This is a good second chance romance story but I feel like this is a cliffhanger as I want to read more about them & their HEA.
I volunteered to read this ARC & leave an honest review.
Rockstar’s New Roommate: A Second Chance Protector Romance is a great read. interesting, touching and steamy; well written, great characters with great chemistry, well done! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book!!! thanks!
This was such a great story. Corrie and Zane were in love five years ago, until he broke her heart. Neither of them has really gotten over each other. Their story has action, romance, love and some suspense. Their story just flowed and when it was over I could not believe it. I loved Zane and Corrie and their game of tug of war. Neither wants to give an inch, but they will have to if they want to be together.
Corrie becomes the Rockstar’s New Roommate when Zane decides he wants a second chance.
This is my first good romance author by a good romance author! I really prefer romances where communication is good. Zane has emotional issues he needs to resolve. He is a great business man and Rockstar but if he wants a lasting relationship, he needs to be honest. I received a gifted copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. I honestly believe these two have a chance for long term love if they can be honest with themselves!
It was a really good book but at the end it kind of felt like it was a cliffhanger like there was more to come. so I don’t know if the author meant to leave it that way. I’m not crazy about Cliffhangers. But the book all together was a really really good book it’s a must-read.
It has the potential to be a really great read, but Zane was off-putting. While he broke it off for the right reasons (allegedly), he did it dirty and trying to get back in her life seemed less than true. Corrie was okay, but kind of a doormat.
A wonderfully well thoughtout and written short second chance romance. The characters are strong, well developed, likeable and have lots of passion and good chemistry. This storyline includes angst, lots of drama, a stalker, suspense, romance, love and steam as it flows smoothly and gives you their thoughts and feelings from both POVs. You wont be dissapointed with this engaging storyline and nice epilogue. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC
A very interesting story with two headstrong people who can’t seem to give any leeway to the other in the beginning. I loved following their story and how they managed to work things out through it all. Love how Corrie and Zane butt heads and then eventually work it all out!
I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest and voluntary review.
A well written second chance romance with a nice storyline and plot. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the story. A nice chemistry and passion between the main characters. I like it has an epilogue but I would have liked it solved more of the questions the story did not answer. The story is written in dual POV and that gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and in this case that helped a bit.
A sweet romance that is worth the read.
Story line is great and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
“I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.”
Corrie and Zane had been together five years ago until Zane broke up with her. Corrie thought it was because she wasn’t a big enough star. Zane knew if they stayed together, his shadow would over take her talent and he wanted her to be able to shine.
This was an easy read with a well written storyline with fully developed characters. A great way to spend an afternoon.
This is such a well written, sweet, enjoyable story with a bit of action, romance and intrigue with a few funny parts along the way.
Recommend.
