Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
4 Stars!!!!
Once again I have delved into the Lawson family’s world and I was not let down. I was grabbed from page one and eager to see how all would end. I like how the author is able to use the characters pasts and the demons to enhance the story and to bring the characters to life. I found that the book really had a realistic vibe and that kept my attentions.
The chemistry between Ben and Danielle is quite unique. The way that the whole tension between them builds slow makes for a more enjoyable read and makes things more realistic. I like the fact that their romance doesn’t spark straight away and it builds over time making the book not predictable. I found that the author’s use of his troubles and demons makes him try to not act on his feelings then with Danielle’s lack of self confidence it makes things more relate able. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future and hopefully this series.
Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is a story immersed in emotion and is a beautifully written tale. I’ve been waiting for Ben’s story, the characters are complex and deep yet they are loveable with their flaws and all. Tracey gives us a look into the life of a rock star and addiction, second chances and new beginnings, love and family.
Ben is a rocker and wants nothing more than to have his baby girl in his life. Unfortunately his life is not all candy and roses. When his new PA comes into the picture she deals with everything, but sometimes that is not enough but knowing what you want and what you need and that they are right in front of you even if you can’t see it is something else.
Tracey took us on a beautiful journey and I loved that we got to catch up with the characters from the previous books. I look forward to Carly’s book next!
Benjamin Lawson is a rockstar. He loves to perform, but faces many battles away from the stage. He is a recovering alcoholic who just wants to keep his visitation rights to see his daughter.
Danielle is set the task of ‘babysitting’ Ben, keeping him away from trouble and alcohol.
The main characters in this story are full of depth. The author really takes the time to help the reader get to know them. I really appreciate this as it helps me become even more invested. The story is a slow burner romance wise, and by the end you are really rooting for these guys!
I will definitely read the other books in the Lawson Family series.
Rockin It Home is the third novel in the Lawson Family series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly.
Anytime I see a new novel in this series, I instantly want to read it.
Ben Lawson who is not happy about having a babysitter. But it’s the only way to keep himself off the alcohol to keep his visitation rights in order to see his daughter.
Danielle isn’t too thrilled about being his personal assistant either, but accepts the position because work is hard to get.
Will Ben find himself in other ways besides being on stage and find a family with Danielle?
I really love this series and look forward to meeting new members of the family and their stories.
The plot was easy to follow and the relationship progression between Ben and Danielle was nice paced and didnt feel like it moved too fast. I felt for Ben and his struggles and rooted for him to overcome them.
Rockin’ It Home is the third book in the Lawson Family series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly and I loved this book
Ben is trying to get his life together after hitting rock bottom. He doesn’t need much to he happy, put him on stage in front of a crowd is the easiest way. But the demands of being a recovering alcoholic while on the road touring are more than one person can and should handle. This is where Danielle comes in.
I enjoyed almost everything about Ben and Danielle’s story, especially how Rick Springfield is connected. This old lady has some fond memories of Mr. Springfield from my childhood and I did find myself getting a bit giddy thinking about him.
Ben has been through so much through this series and I’m so glad he finally removed his head and allowed himself to be happy since it’s much deserved.
Can’t wait for the next book in this series so I can find out what’s going on with the family.
Rockin’ It Home is the third book in Tracey Cramer-Kelly’s Lawson Family Series! Finally Ben is getting his book! If you have read the first two books in the series then you know what I mean by ‘finally’! It is a beautifully written story of second chances and new beginnings and family …
Rockin’ It Home gives us Benjamin Lawson’s story – he is our recovering divorced dad who is trying to keep his visitation right to the only person he cares about, his two year old daughter, and then we get Danielle de Luca, from a true Italian family, who is his PA and his babysitter … I have always liked Ben and I was impatiently waiting for his book as I was wondering into what direction the writer would take his journey and she did it beautifully … She gave us a flawed man who feels at home only on the stage, with his music, who learns to accept his flaws and who needs to find his faith and give himself for the mistakes he has done in the past … I admire the writer for the way she is addressing the issue of addiction in a way that hit home but at the same time did not drag you down into the despair … I also loved meeting the characters from the previous two books so it truly felt like visiting family back at home! AND let’s not forget about the teaser for Carly’s book so keep your schedule open!
This is a very well written novel. The story line and plot is easy to follow and you feel immersed into the story. You feel for Ben and the changed he goes through. I would highly recommend reading this book. This is a great series go pick up a copy today
I have loved this series from the get go and this one I have been anticipating for a while now.
I love rock star romances and this was right up my alley. I couldn’t put this book down. I felt connected to these characters, Ben and Danielle, they were so relatable.
Ben struggles and Danielle is hired as his ‘sitter’ to keep him out of trouble. I turned every page just waiting for what was to happen next.
Great series!
Another sweet story from this author. The story is very smooth and had me reading late i to the night. The characters are deep and lovable yet they have their flaws. The author delves nicely into the life of a rock star. How things are always great until they are not so great. But then we meet Danielle. She is a bright and shiny star on her own. It just takes a while before Ben realizes why he needs her to be around so much.
It’s nice to see a bit of the family from the previous stories. Touch base and see how they are doing. It’s funny how this family seems so perfect but once you really look at them your perception is changed.
This is the third book in the series. In this one I really felt the heaviness of the story. Addiction is a serious subject but some light hearted moments are always a nice reliever as well. There is a teaser for Carly’s book and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this adventurous girls story.
Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly
5-Stars
Rockin’ It Home: a Lawson Family Novel by Tracey Cramer-Kelly was an excellent read. I was addicted to Ben’s personality from the start. I loved Danielle as well but Ben was absolutely my favorite. This novel was out together well and organized. It had an easy flow to the storyline that made it difficult to put down. I loved the focus of being true to yourself, accepting your flaws, and the focus on faith in this romance. It was a wonderful book. I also had a soft spot for Ben’s precious little girl. Having read the other books connected to this series, it is easy to say that it can be read as a standalone. Also, out of the books written in this series, this one is my favorite. I highly recommend it.
Rockin’ It Home by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is a Lawson Family Novel. Although it is the third in the series it can easily be read as a stand-alone.
This book does a great job of creating engaging characters. Danielle and Ben were so interesting to read about, each with their own back stories that add depth to the characters.
The story was well written. It had everything you could want from a book of this genre. I easily found myself getting drawn into the words and the journey the characters go on. I always do enjoy work by this author and this book was no exception.
I’ve truly enjoyed reading this series and getting to know the Lawson family. And this latest installment was another heartfelt ride. Cramer-Kelly does a beautiful job weaving a story together that is relatable (even if I’ve never been a music star or worked in that industry). The characters have so much heart and are beautifully crafted to make their way into the reader’s heart quickly and completely. A great story from start to finish and one I will definitely recommend.

Rockin’ It Home is the third book in the Lawson Family series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. This is my favourite of the series so far- taking us on a journey and experiencing everything right alongside the characters. The story It is about facing the past, second chances, finding love unexpectedly, new beginnings, and family. It is infused with plenty of emotion, and sprinkled with just enough drama to keep things interesting. As always, Ms. Cramer Kelly has crafted endearing characters, who are fully realised individuals, with their own personalities, quirks, and flaws. I couldn’t help connecting with them and rooting for them the whole way through.
Benjamin Lawson was born to perform- he lives for the stage and how it makes him feel. But his life has been a bit complicated, and he hasn’t always made the right choices. He knows he needs to stay on track as there is a lot at stake if he doesn’t. But that doesn’t mean he needs a babysitter…. Does it?
Danielle DeLuca can think of quite a few other things she’d rather be doing than playing ‘nanny’ to a spoiled Rockstar. But she doesn’t have much choice when work has been difficult to find. But, things don’t always go according to plan- especially when feelings are involved. Add in the Rockstar lifestyle, his precious 2 year old daughter, groupies, over-zealous fans, emotion, dramatic developments, family dynamics, & dealing with the past- and things get really interesting!
A wonderful addition to the series- looking forward to more!
Thank you, Ms. Cramer-Kelly!
This is a series I have enjoyed from the first book, this one is my favorite yet so far. This author writes with such heart. They are a well written romance story that will leave you turning pages fast. The characters are supportive of each other, they make the story feel realistic. Ben has always felt at home on stage but when he gets a keeper it could be his last chance to keep the only thing that matters to him. The last thing Danielle wants is to be a keeper to Ben but when things turn bad will she teach him that home is really where the heart is? They are great strong characters and I loved their chemistry. I highly recommend their story.
