A Rock Star Kidnaps a Runaway Bride… crazy.
And somehow she’s turned the tables on me.
Now, she’s holding me hostage, and she won’t let me go until we hit every item on her sparkly new, completely insane bucket list.
And that last item?
That last item might cost me more than any fortune.
It very well might cost me my heart.
Rockaway Bride is a romping fun romance between a down-on-his-luck rock star and a boy band-loving preschool teacher, complete with a road trip, handcuffs, and fun with nuns. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends with a rockin’ awesome happily ever after.

Initially I was worried that I wasn’t going to like this book because, frankly, Dax wasn’t really all that likeable to me. I pretty much adored Willow already and I just wasn’t sure I was going to approve of Dax for her.
However, once we finally get to see the real Dax who was hidden behind the vengeful musician I fell in love with him and Willow together.
Their adventure was full of that Pippa Grant hilarity and mishaps that we’ve all come to know and love but there was also a very meaningful undertone to everything they went through. Of course you can’t have a complete Pippa Grant story without a visit from the Berger twins and the rest of the gang adding to the craziness!!
If you’re a fan of donkeys, musicians and sexy, Royal stepbrothers then this is the book for you!
If it can go wrong, it does, should have been the saying in this book. The MC’s had the worst luck. As always a feel good, laugh out loud until I snort. I loved this book.
This was adorable, it was funny, and I thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through.
A kidnapping gone wrong…or did it go right?
Grumpy, down-on-his-luck rocker Dax Gallagher is out for revenge. He wants his money back from a thief…so he steals the fiancé of said thief. Great plan. Until things get flipped, and SHE is now the one in control.
One thing I love in a good RomCom, is a grumpy, growly & scowly hero. And that’s exactly what Dax is. Add in the tattoos and I was a goner. Willow was the perfect heroine for him. She’s all bubbly and happy and quirky and completely opposite and definitely not what Dax usually goes for. But she is absolutely refreshing and exactly what he needs. I loved these two together!!
Lots of shenanigans involving a van full of nuns, some Stilt Warriors, and a vicious, head-butting donkey. This story was utterly delightful and it had some hella sexy parts. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were fantastic!
This was my first Pippa Grant book (what the what?! Pure ridiculousness!) and I cannot wait to read more – I’m hooked!
I laughed so much during this book. Pippa is the queen of laughs and I can never get enough. The runaway bride/sort of kidnapping was such a great storyline. The nuns, the lady from Scotland, the Berger brothers, the Manning Brothers, the girl band. All of it. Absolutely hilarious. Dax is grumpy hole who finds his sunshine with Willow.
Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood were amazing. I love listening to them.
This book had me laughing so many times! The sister Mary’s in the van, the stilt walkers, all the sexy teasing that Dax and Willow did. I just loved this story!
Audio Review
Willow is dreading her wedding to her long time boyfriend. He is fine but there really isn’t any excitement there. When her stepbrothers the Prince’s of Stuland offer to help her run away she thinks it’s funny, that is until she wakes up hung over and handcuffed to a hot rock star.
Dax is desperate after the dipweed stole all his money. He decided to kidnap his bride to be to get his money back. Not his best plan but desperate times call for desperate measures. Turns out it was the best decision of his life. Willow shows him what he has been missing and he does the same for her.
This book is so funny from dangerous donkeys to a dozen nuns and an adventure to be remembered for a lifetime. I loved everything about this book.
Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are so much pleasure to listen to. They were the perfect choice for Dax and Willow. I enjoyed listening to both of them from start to end.
I listened to the Audible version. The narration really added to the book. Both narrators did an amazing job and brought the story to life with their voice acting.
It is a stand alone story, but characters overlap with other Pippa Grant series. I wish I had read previous books a little more recently to know if I should have recognized Dax from prior books. My favorite part of the book was the nicknames for the nuns, and Jason Clarke’s delivery of them like the were actual names. This was my favorite of the girl band series so far.
Another 5 Star read by one of the best RomCom authors out now. Author Pippa Grant gives us not only a romantic comedy that kept me glued to my kindle from start to finish but it also has a bit of a mystery inside it with her missing ex-fiancee Martin as well as HCH member Danger. Not to mention Dax and Williow make for one happy as a blazes couple. Rockaway Bride is one of my favorites.
Hilarious rom-com, not to be missed…
Oh, Willow and Dax! You made me laugh so hard, over and over again. Your chemistry was amazing and paved the way for a romantic romp that just kept giving…
Humour was the cornerstone to this top notch read. Alcohol and good decisions really don’t mix but I can’t argue with the wonderfully over the top results. Handcuffs, life goals and boom, they took themselves on the road. Their trip to individual discovery reminded me of a certain hitman movie but with more rib-splitting guffaws, even more nuns, probably the same amount of cows and easily less guns (aka none)…
Willow was sweet, with a perfect balance of innocence and worldly experience. Her bandmates made sure she was never totally sheltered but she knew now was her time. Time to achieve all those bucket list items she never knew she had… Let alone wrote down… Or did… Dax was the life-weary hero, with everything around him imploding he had his eye on the prize that would bring (almost) everything back to rights. His new found princess was going to test his resolve, his sanity and his bad boy image…
With a pair of handcuffs the focal point, I just basked in the funny situations and the wonderful supporting characters that made the story shine even more. Easily one of my favourite stories by this author, I will be re-reading this often when I need reminding that anything is possible if you are brave enough…

This was a fun book, as are all Pippa Grant books. A kidnapping goes off kilter in this laugh out loud book. Of course it ends with an HEA and has enough romance, steam and silly adventure to keep you reading. Also listening to the audio and maybe listen to it again at a later date.
I have loved every single book by Pippa Grant that I have read, but I think this one has just become my new favourite! I love the butterfly-in-waiting that is Willow and curmudgeonly hero-with-a-heart-in-waiting, that is Dax. From craziness to craziness, from fish guts and donkeys, to travelling nuns and dildo fights, this book has been sheer joy! It is, without doubt, a wild, funny, warm hearted adventure in pushing boundaries and refinding ourselves which, without doubt, has been a joy to read. Thank you Pippa xx
After reading this book a few years ago, I just listened to the audio version. What. A. Hoot! Oh my gosh Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood brought the book to life in the most delightful way! If you see someone driving down the road all alone and laughing like a loon, they are probably listening to this book. Well done Pippa and well done Jason and Savannah!
Whenever I want to get away, escape and read a little fun and frivolity, I go find my next Pippa Grant novel in her reading order. They make me happy and keep a smile on my face for hours. The thing you have to accept reading one of her books is you have to go with the flow. Crazy will happen and often and sometimes it doesn’t necessarily make a lot of sense but it helps the story flow and gives you a belly laugh or two. If you’re into this type of escapism, then you will love these books. This one has Willow being taken from the castle grounds and what’s thought to be a kidnapping ends up an adventure of a life time. The ever compliant Willow opens up completely with Dax and she enjoys her self more in their two weeks together than seven years with her ex fiancé. As their time goes on, Dax too learns he can trust Willow with his life. But what will happen when reality is upon them and they head back to their lives in the States? Well, you need to read this beauty to find the answer to that.
Welcome to Girl Band #3, Rockaway Bride. This series just keeps getting better and better. OK, more outlandish, but that’s better, right? I mean who doesn’t have “sleep with a rock star” on their bucket list?
Unfortunately, that’s all Dax Gallagher has ever been…someone, or something, on someone’s bucket list and now he’s had all of his money stolen and he’s desperate. Clearly, he isn’t thinking straight either. How else do you explain the situation he’s in right now. He’s kidnapped a princess for goodness sake! OK, technically she’s not a princess and technically she came willingly. There may or may not have been alcohol involved….
Willow can’t go through with her marriage. The confrontation with her stepbrothers has convinced her. She decided to skip out on her fiancé the night before her wedding. Now she’s on the run. Well, technically she’s been kidnapped. Wait, if she goes willingly is it really a kidnapping? There may or may not have been alcohol involved….
Whether it was a kidnapping or not, the tables turn quickly, the offenses are evened out, and an adventure ensues. You really need to get in on this adventure….
5 Who kidnapped Whom Stars
Rockaway Bride is the third book in the Girl Band Series by Pippa Grant. I have to admit I didn’t read any of the previous books in this series because I started reading her books arse ways until I discovered a reading list on her website. It’s all good though because I read the last 5 in the right order I was grand so I was.
Scary when the kidnapper has more morals than the man I was supposed to marry.
Willow is due to marry but on the eve of her wedding she decides that she just can’t go through with it. Dax, who is a star on the edge, his money has been stolen dishonest investment advisor who just happens to be Willow’s fiancé. He decided the only thing for it is to kidnap Willow, but willow is running away so she goes willingly.
You don’t find yourself in routines and normalcy and comfort. You find yourself when you jump.
This book was amazing and so much fun. I loved every minute spent reading Willow and Dax’s romance. It is hilarious but yet had so many feels in it. As with all of Pippa’s books her secondary characters make this book go from good to great. I love them all. I highly recommend reading this book!
Rockaway Bride is the third book in the Girl Band series, and while it stands alone, there are things that make this book funnier by reading Ms. Grant’s books in order. Willow decides to run away the night before her wedding, and Dax seizes the opportunity to get back at the man who stole his money by kidnapping Willow. Willow quickly turns the tables on Dax, and they’re off on an adventure full of nuns, cows, rockstars, stilts, and chemistry, but are they just a notch on a bucket list, or could there actually be something true and bigger between them?
I feel like this book had the perfect combination of serious scenes mixed with giggling with pure joy scenes! You know those books where you’re simultaneously laughing and crying? Yeah, that was this book for me. There’s realizing who you are and your worth, mixed with fun and silly and learning to trust again! Plus add in the steam, the sweet, a punch to the heart or two, and a curse, and this book just hit all of the romantic comedy notches for me! I loved Willow and Dax so much! Willow found herself in these pages, and I loved how people gravitated towards her glow. She was so happy and positive and sweet, but definitely had a reckless and wild side. Dax was amazing. For being a rockstar, he was pretty grounded, but I loved that he had a protective side for those he loved and he was able to indulge in Willow’s craziness by adding his own. They were such a fun couple, this book was just full of fun, and I really enjoyed every moment I spent within these pages and with this couple!

My Favourite So Far In This Series!!

Rockaway Bride
Willow is at her Stepdad & Mum’s castle, they’re King & Queen of a small Nordic country, for her wedding. It’s the night before the big day & she’s pretty sure she shouldn’t be feeling how she does. That’s confirmed when she bumps into her three Viking like Prince Stepbrothers, who all offer her a bottle of mead & multiple ways to get her out of her wedding!! She’s knows she’s pretty drunk but when she wakes up on boat, handcuffed to Rock God Dax Gallagher, she has no idea how it happened!!
He informs her that he kidnapped her because Martin, the Groom, has stolen all of his money!! Then begins a comedy of errors, circumstance & hijinx that take them to Scotland where he’s charged by a donkey. On a Sail boat across the sea to Amsterdam so she can get a tattoo! Down through Belgium in van full of Nuns where he’s accosted by warriors on stilts and on it goes!!
This is a journey of self discovery for Willow, as she learns to live free & Dax learns to trust again while also finding joy in life, his music & people!! Along the way they fall but don’t recognise it & lose what they’d found. Can they find it & each other again??
This is a fun, crazy ride that flowed really naturally. I really liked this couple. We got more background on Eloise & her mad, dangerous skills too!! This is definitely my favourite of this series so far!!

Loved this book. Quite an adventure!
Never a dull moment
Total page turner. Full of lol moments, quick paced and uplifting. Made me want to go on adventures. Willow and Dax are probably two of my all time favorite characters from any books. Didn’t want the book to end. Best in the series so far!
This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites. With each book I read I fall more enamored with her writing and her style. This one in particular had me from the beginning. Willow is supposed to be married but the night before she really doesn’t want to and while drinking outside she runs in to Dax and he kidnaps her…or does go willingly? Waking up on a fishing boat the next morning with a hangover and landing who know where and handcuffed together their adventure begins. And what an adventure it is. Between the missing money, the called off marriage, and the missing band member, and don’t forget the nuns their adventure across Europe is hilarity and had me smiling my way through this one. I definitely recommend it.
