A Rock Star Kidnaps a Runaway Bride… crazy.
And somehow she’s turned the tables on me.
Now, she’s holding me hostage, and she won’t let me go until we hit every item on her sparkly new, completely insane bucket list.
And that last item?
That last item might cost me more than any fortune.
It very well might cost me my heart.
Rockaway Bride is a romping fun romance between a down-on-his-luck rock star and a boy band-loving preschool teacher, complete with a road trip, handcuffs, and fun with nuns. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends with a rockin’ awesome happily ever after.

Dear lord, my stomach muscles still hurt from all the laughing while reading Rockaway Bride! From the first pages when Willow is hanging out with her step-brothers through the very last page, I absolutely loved every minute spent reading Willow and Dax’s romance.
There’s love, lust, lightness, snark, wit, fun and forgiveness throughout their story. I love how they fell in love. Loved that they brought out the best (okay, and sometimes the worst) in each other.
Their adventure to love is smart, sexy, swoony fun. And involved nuns. A whole lotta nuns. And the nuns may have stolen the show on several occasions, but what’s a Sister Mary or two to do?
Rockaway Bride is a prefect adventure to take for a beach read this weekend! Or now. Now is good too! Get one-clicking!
OMG, THIS BOOK! If you’ve never read a Pippa Grant book, well this one is PERFECT to get you started. SO FUNNY! Seriously, I needed some comedy, I started this book, and by 3% in (yes, I made note of where I was when it happened) I had my first full bellied out loud laugh. It is heavy on the romance and heavy on the comedy (not to mention steamy hot!). I absolutely LOVE all her characters, I honestly can’t pick a favorite because whenever I do she gets another one out that I love more than the last! This one is no exception, I defy anyone to NOT fall in love with Willow, she’s such a sweetheart/people pleaser I didn’t fault our rocker for falling madly in love with her, because by the end I kinda was lol! This book was really just brilliantly perfect, the rock star and the preschool teacher, it shouldn’t work but it so does, the only bad part for me was it ended, and I had to say goodbye. At least she gave us glimpses of what we have to look forward to, and Eloise is at the top of that list!
What a funny, crazy, sexy story. Pippa Grant just has a way of writing a storyline that will make you smile, laugh and absolutely fall in love with the characters in her books. Rockaway Bride is no exception. I laughed at the antics and banter and smiled throughout the whole book.
Willow and Dax are something else. Dax’s life is off kilter and all due to a curse (yep you read that right). He gets the bright idea that kidnapping Willow will turn his luck and life around. Well probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do because Willow, who has always done the right thing, sees her kidnapping as a chance to be wild (at least once in her life). From there the journey takes off and holy cow or maybe I should say nuns and chickens OH My, what a journey it is.
I Highly recommend this Laugh out Loud RomCom. It’s another HUGE HIT for Ms. Grant and a fun journey you absolutely do not want to miss out on. 2 Thumbs Up.
4.5
I absolutely adored this adventure! The antics that Dax & Willow get into are hilarious and almost unreal, but I can so picture them happening.
Watching Willow grow and Dax letting his walls down were a massive treat along the way.
I definitely recommend this book!

Stands up. Shuffles feets. Smiles guiltily, then address the room.
“Hi, my name’s Cee Cee, and I am a Pippa Grant-aholic. Yes, it’s true, I can never get my fill of this woman’s stories. She just keeps putting them out there in the kindle world and I JUST CAN’T HELP MYSELF!”
How many of you out there suffer from this incredible affliction? Haha, yeah, thought so.
Rockaway Bride is the sixth in the connected standalones that Pippa has conjured up from her quirky mind. It’s laugh out loud hilarious and downright sweet as well. Like all the others before, it’s got everything you need in a rom/com. A sexy as sin hero, a feisty, snarky don’t-take-any-cr** heroine and a story that doesn’t quit. Willow seems like a quiet and shy school teacher, but that’s her daytime persona. Willow is the lead singer in her all-girl boy band cover group and has more to her than she lets on. She definitely needs it, too, when Dax comes into her life. He’s kind of an anti-hero at first. I mean can you say… kidnapper? Maybe, or just a man on the edge helping out a girl in need?
Dax and Willow are thrown together when they run of on an adventure of a lifetime. Willow’s, Dax is an ex-rocker so he’s seen plenty of the world already.
Can these two misfits really be a match made in heaven, or will it all go to he!! in a handbasket?
I laughed so hard I cried and that doesn’t happen too often- well, unless it’s another Pippa book. If you’re after a light-hearted sweet and sexy story with a little drama added in for extra fun then this is the one for you.
My heart is full
Again with one of the greatest books I’ve read lately. Pippa Grant is a master of the strong yet vulnerable heroines and I love her for that.
I wasn’t sure about Dax at first, but of course I grew to love him as much as sweet Willow did. Dax wanting Willow to LIVE was the most heart melting thing ever. All the adventures on their epic road trip were so fun to read about! I was amazed, and wondrous, and tickled pink as each new grand escapade appeared. I was giddy reading this book!
Rockaway Bride to me was the story of finding yourself – your true self – and what makes you the happiest. This is a fantastically written rom-com.
I have truly LOVED every single book Pippa Grant has written but this definitely took the top spot. Willow is a badass. She’s sweet, kind, hilarious, strong, and absolutely loveable. Dax is a grouch, mad at his circumstances, and still super loveable. While the story *like all of Pippa’s* is a little over the top -it’s the very BEST!!
Rockaway Bride sucked me in from the very beginning. From a botched kidnapping (with handcuffs involved), a van full of nuns, and group skydiving – this book was engaging and extremely amusing. It was everything I was hoping for and more.
I would 100% recommend this book to readers. Pippa does funny best and yet she somehow throws in all the feelings you could ever want or need. I adored this couple – and all their friends too. I want more of all of them – especially Colden *hint hint Pippa ;)* Take the time to read this one… but don’t get mad when you get sucked into the Pippa Grant rabbit hole. You’ll love every minute!
Pippa is so amazing at turning any situation and scene into a hilarious, laugh out loud moment. There were so many times during this book that I had to sit my Kindle down to wipe the tears off my face from laughing so hard.
Willow is a prim and proper preschool teacher and stepdaughter to a king. She is not spontaneous or wild, and you would never see her color outside the lines.
Dax is a famous rock star who is down on his luck. Everything is falling apart, and he doesn’t know how to make it right. After one drunken night, he decides to kidnap Willow the night before her wedding as ransom.
However, his plan turns in a cray whirlwind adventure of crazy strangers, wild antics, farm animals, nuns, and unbelievable circumstances.
Throughout the time, Dax and Willow begin to grow closer which surprises Dax. He is very outgoing, but only those close to him know the real Dax. He puts up a front that matches his rock star persona. When walls fall, these two have a decision to make…was what they felt real or just a product of a spontaneous, fun adventure that should never be repeated?
These characters and their friends keep getting better and better. They are such a tight knit group of friends who aren’t always who they seem…especially Eloise. I am really hoping she gets her own story because she is such a mysterious, crazy character.

Pippa Grant brings another laugh out loud fun book. Willow is about to marry Martin, her fiancé of seven years. The night before the wedding, she gets drunk off of mead and ends up waking up handcuffed to rockstar Dax. Dax had invested all of his money with Martin. When his money goes missing, the rest of his life seemed to off track as well. He sees an opportunity when he happens upon Willow and her bottle of Mead in a meadow. This book makes me think a little of O. Henry story Ransom of Red Chief, where the kidnapper becomes the victim. If you want relief from all the ugliness in the world, this book will definitely put a smile on your face. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
Holy Cow! This book! I absolutely loved Beauty & The Beefcake, but Willow & Dax….
Pippa Grant has given us a brilliant rom-com that is full of amazing characters, has a heartfelt storyline & so much laughter that I couldn’t put it down.
