Whew emotional. Though it’s so worth it. It made what the ended up with that more special.
Terrific book! Likeable characters.
I am in love with this entire series. Singh’s words just flow off the page and paint a picture so clear you feel like you are there living the story. Kit and Noah were friends before they became famous and there has always been an electric undercurrent of chemistry between them. Kit thought she could make a future with Noah but he purposely destroys that bond – all so she won’t learn his secret. A secret that destroys him a little more each day. Kit and Noah work to rebuild their friendship from ashes but still butt up against Noah’s demons each time they try for more. Next up for me is Abe’s story!

I think this is the most poignant of Nalini Singh’s Rock Kiss series.
Noah’s secret that causes him to behave the way he does is frightening and horribly realistic.
Kit’s personality and her strength of character are admirable and attainable.
She’s neither saint nor martyr.
Warning! You may need a tissue or two.
But don’t worry, you will also laugh. Or at the very least Grin 🙂
This was the book i was most looking forward to reading in this series and it did not disappoint !
I loved reading about Noah (sigh he’s so dreamy) learning about his awful past was kinda hard to read because it hurt him so much , he didn’t think he deserves happiness and he tries to ruin the one thing that makes him feel like a normal guy and that’s his relationship with Kit , he hurts her on purpose to push her away and for the most part it was working but then When a media error sees Noah and Kit dubbed the new “it” couple , Kit needs to act like it’s real for a once in a lifetime role , Noah agrees to go along with it and then acting turns into the real deal , Noah is finally able to tell Kit about his past and why he’s so messed up & Kit is finally able to forgive him .
I loved this book , it was so good , it has steamy scenes and it had some really heartbreaking scenes , it’s my fav outta this whole series .
** spoiler alert ** David and Kit’s story is not my favorite of the series. The writing was still compelling and I knew going in that he was the type of Hero that I wouldn’t like. I still had to have their story. I needed to know how David was going to get past his demons.
I admit I was also curious about his demons. I had guessed and it was pretty accurate. It’s heartbreaking and I can’t even imagine. Knowing what he was dealing with still doesn’t help me get past the way he continued to hurt Kit.
I ached for both characters and I’m glad that I got see them finally work through all that bad. Compared to the rest of the series, this couldn’t have been more different. Depending on the reader, some may think this has cheating. I will say Kit, herself said he didn’t cheat on her, but her devastation was still very real and you felt it as a reader.
LOVE this series!! Cannot get enough of this series!!!
Another great book by Nalini Singh
great series
Nalini takes “they-only-happen-to-someone-else” subjects and puts a human face on them without pulling the pity card.
There is so much more texture to her characters than just about any author I read.
Another great story in this series. This volume follows Noah and Kit and tells everything that happened that had been hinted at in previous books of the series and tells what happens with them now.
I love stories where friends become something more, so there’s that going on in this book. I also love that there was an underlying mystery in this book with Kit’s stalker. It added a whole other level to the story and gave it some more depth.
I’m really enjoying the series and looking forward to the rest of the books.
