I loved this wonderful book. Jace and Addie had a great relationship, touring, jealousy and misunderstanding got in the way. I loved the chemistry and how the only one for Jace was Addie, he just had to get her to believe him. Loved going through it all with them. Couldn’t put this book down. Had to find out if they made their way back.

Addison and Jace were college sweethearts until lies and betrayal sent them on different paths in life. Even though they have busy lives they always felt that something was missing, and now 6-years later it is time to face their feelings and confront what happened previously. This is a fast-paced story which is filled with heartbreak, lies, and love. I was hooked and intrigued throughout and look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend for all readers.

Love is hard
WOW! What an emotional roller coaster this story took me on! This book is about Addison and Jace. They were college sweethearts who fell in love fast and completely! Their love-at-first-sight relationship lasted about 18 months until Addie left without a word, after being misinformed about Jace cheating on her.
Six years later, Jace is no longer finding his rock star life fulfilling, and is desperate to reconnect with Addie. Over the years he’s tried to get in touch with Addie, but with no success. He’s really missed her, and wants to get to the bottom of why she just up and left all those years ago.
Addie is a real workaholic and her best friend Luci is trying to convince her that she needs to start dating, to get Jace out of her head. Luci just doesn’t realise he’s in her heart still too. Luci was the one who told her that Jace had been kissing another girl at a party they were at, so she knows (?) that she has Addie’s best interests at heart. When Luci writes a quick online post about Addie going to a dating agency, Jace sees it, putting him into action – just before Addie asks Luci to remove the post, thinking it was quick enough that nobody would have seen it.
What ensues is a long cat-and-mouse-type of chase between the two. It’s obvious that they still love each other deeply. They are so incredibly hot and steamy together! It’s like their bodies just automatically remembered how they were together when they were a couple. Despite the passion still roaring through them, there are many obstacles thrown in front of them. It might just be too much for them to happily reconcile and live their dream life together.
I always enjoy Mia Ford’s books, but this had my emotions all over the place, almost making my head spin! I loved these wonderful characters and the complexities of their personalities and lives. I was totally invested in their story from the very start. I was a bit sad when the story ended because I hadn’t had enough yet, but I guess that’s testament to a well-written book too. The only thing I’m not sold on is Luci and what she supposedly saw at that party…
Anyway, I highly recommend this read. Don’t expect to get much decent sleep, because you won’t be able to put it down. Lucky school holidays have now started here! I give this book four and a half destined stars!

I love this authors writing. You really get to feel these characters. Mia challenges us to invest in her characters followed by a story written with eloquence. You will not want to end this book! The pace is steady and the angst is palpable. The writing is like sitting in a window reading by the suns light. It is warm and feels so wonderful. I immensely enjoyed this book.

Second chance love story????
This story was wonderful I loved it so much I read it in one go. Addison & Jace are wonderful characters & I so wanted them to find a way to get the happy ever after they didn’t get 6yrs ago. He’d gone away with his band after Addie had left him but he was never happy without her made worse by him not knowing why she’d left but she was also unhappy having never got over him the man she loved cheated on her. Her friend Luci was there to support her & help get over him eventually signed her up to the dating agency only the what started as a blind date turned out to be the best decision shed made when she found that Jace was her date & she realised she’d never got over him. Just as it looks like he’s won her back Luci puts a spanner in the works resulting in them splitting up & again Jace has no idea why but I kept my fingers crossed & finished reading with a smile on my face. This story was went from being a second chance to more of a third time lucky, it had tears, laughter, hot sex but even though they loved each other it was a will they won’t they going on, it’s definately a book I recommend reading.

Jace Fairs is a Rock Star who is part of the rock group Puppeteers. This group was formed about 6 or more years ago while they were in college. Jace had been Addison Laing’s boyfriend and in his mind, he never understood why she left college and him and never would speak to him again. Addison Laing is managing editor of a newspaper and her only “friend” Luci Emery and she told her friend Addie that she saw Jace kissing Emma her agent. Her parents she hardly ever saw or even talked to they were always off traveling or staying away. So this is where this story begins. Jace Fairs is restless and he happens to see a post on social media that Addison is looking into getting back into the dating circle and she still lives in his hometown where his mother lives. Jace decides to use the same dating service that she uses to get to see her. He does it and they come face to face and Addison’s first instinct was to run. But they instead went to the nearest pub and they went and talked and drank. Felicia Fairs lets Jace know that she really like Addison and he is glad because at least he knows he is supported by his mother, his only family. It was Felicia and Jace against the world. Addison felt like the only family she had was her best friend Luci. I still wonder if Luci lied about seeing Jace kiss his agent or what she saw but anyways they eventually get their happily ever after but it takes a while to get there. Read this story by Mia Ford it is really a really great love story.

Playing his way back into her heart
Rock My World is the story of Addison Laing and Jace Fairs. When they met in college they were completely smitten with each other and such hopes and dreams for a beautiful future together. But that is not quite how it turned out because of a lie that was told by Addie’s “best friend” Lucy Emery. So they were apart for six years in which time Jace because a successful musician with his band Puppeteers. But for Jace it is not longer fun and exciting as really he is all alone since he does not have that one person to share it with. Addie over the years has never forgotten about Jace and has basically been living like a nun. Yep no dating, no men and no fun. But she still have her bestie Lucy. Addie finally joins a dating service after being convinced by Lucy and from there things turn into a whole social media thing. Jace finds out about the dating service and decides that this may be his chance to get back the one woman that has always had his heart. But even when he finally gets to her she is not welcoming him back with open arms. Things are a bit muddled up with feelings, concerns about others opinions, insecurities, betrayals and more.
In the end I thought this story was okay. To be truthful it annoyed me that Addie would just believe Lucy’s lie and not talk with Jace at all about it, instead running away. Then when Jace reappears in her life it is like she regresses to being a teenager and worrying more about what others will think that what her and Jace’s feelings are. But the ending was nice, yep they get their HEA, and the view into the future with the epilogue was enjoyable.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Second chances sometimes third chances are needed. College sweethearts Addison and Jace thought they had it all, but doubt is a massive pill to swallow, especially when your dating an up and coming rockstar. Six years later and neither have ever gotten over the other. Can they push past their fears and give it another try or will they always be the one that got away.

A second chance romance. It is well written, but my heart broke for Addison. There was a few bumps in the road for them but their love for one another persevered!
Addison dated a dark-haired, dark-eyed rock sensation in college. We were going to get married, until that night at the bar. Now she’s a managing editor for a newspaper.
Jace went from a college sensation to a famous rock star. “Hooking up with random women used to be amazing “. But he still can’t help but think of his lost love. To this day, he doesn’t know what happened.
A well written second chance romance story that’s heartwarming and sweet. The characters are strong, well developed and easy to both love and hate. Their history is a great story that’s an enjoyable read.

Rock my World, by Mia Ford, is an interesting rock star romance, highlighting the angst that is a result of insecurity and immaturity. From the moment they meet in college, Addison Laing and Jace Fairs are completely in love with one another. They have the world in front of them with a happy future, or so they think. Addie’s best friend, Luci Emery, tells her that she saw Jace kissing another woman at the bar and Addie believes her friend and flees, without saying a word to Jace. Even though they both think of one another often, they don’t see each other again for six years. Jace, unaware of Luci’s lies, has no idea why Addie would have run out on him. He has tried to move on. He has found fame and fortune with his band, the Puppeteers, the hottest thing in music right now. The excitement of performing isn’t in his heart as much anymore because Jace hasn’t forgotten the woman he left behind. He isn’t ready to let her go and has to find his way back to Addie. Luci convinces Addie that it’s time to put herself out there again and go on a date. She goes so far as to convince Addie to sign up with a dating service and that’s where the story turns a little too coincidental. Luci posted on social media her excitement for Addie in her attempt to rejoin the dating world. Jace monitors social media, always looking for something about Addie, and this post shocks him to the core. He has to find his way back to her and maybe this dating service can help him out. They do meet again and Jace has such high hopes, but Addie is terrified. She questions everything and is more hurt and angry than anything else. That’s when I started to wonder just what was wrong with her. Here she has the man of her dreams who she loved 6 years ago, and never forgot, sitting right in front of her, wanting to be with her, but she’s nervous, unsure of herself, concerned about what her friend will say and ready to run again. She went from a responsible adult to an insecure teenager in a split second. As for Jace, he is thrilled to be home and back in touch with his Addie. Because of her inability to accept him with open arms, because she’s too concerned what her friend will think, he is shaken. How could he be so wrong about what he thought was a love that existed between them! He starts to second guess himself about what he says to her, how he says it, what she must be thinking and so on. They both needed to grow a backbone and decide for themselves what they wanted from life. Fortunately, there was a re-set button that was pushed along the way and they finally grew up. The future finally becomes clear and it was refreshing to see that happen. This was a very interesting storyline and the book would have been much better if Jace and Addie hadn’t come across as such weak characters. The ending was really good and the epilogue tied it up quite nicely!
The book is a good second chance romantic read with a well written story line.
The ending was very sweet and heart-warming. The prologue tied it up very nicely.
