A stony guardian warrior. A woman obsessed with a mystery. A destined love that crosses worlds… fellow gargs and with the losses of the humans he has let into his heart. Never again. With the help of his only two friends, Mogul is determined to take down the Rose Syndicate and get off this planet. The last thing he needs is emotional entanglements, and his injured wings prevent him from injecting the mating serum even if he wanted to.
Kira is determined to unravel the mystery surrounding the objects found at the archeological dig near her childhood home. Science has always been her friend, something to keep her company during all the lonely nights when her father’s absence was felt so strongly, it sent her running to seek comfort with the stone gargoyles on the roof.
When Kira discovers Mogul’s sigil at the dig site and her father and the Rose Syndicate threaten, Mogul must swoop in to rescue the girl he’s watched grow into a beautiful woman. Fighting the threat against humanity along with his growing attraction for Kira is no easy task, but Mogul must do both to reach his ultimate goal—home.
Even if Kira is his mate, what can a damaged garg like Mogul offer? And with the ships from home only days away from rescuing the gargs from Earth, can Mogul take down the Rose Syndicate without losing his heart in the process?
Rock My World is a standalone, science fiction romance story that features a loving human female and an alien gargoyle and part of the collaborative series, Khargals of Duras. This page-turning science fiction romance story has no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed happy ending!more
I will admit that I found this alien gargoyle romance absolutely fascinating to read. The story-line & plot is impressive, well-thought out, and written. The characters are well developed and interesting with distinctive, individual personalities and have attributes of loyalty & determination when faced with certain situations.
There is: humans, alien gargoyles(Khargals), a conniving father, devious business partners, a woman in fear of her life (Kira), her friend (Penny), twists & turns, intrigue, adventure, action, mystery, danger, enemies, threats, evil, discovery, confusion, guns blazing, devious plans, attractions, friendship, warnings, fear, sabotage, deceit, explosions, decisions, happiness, love & a satisfying epilogue.
I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.
Mogul is a gargoyle who fell to earth from space. The space ship he and his fellows were on crashed to earth. A signal was sent but years and years went by and no return ship or answering signal. He has become attached to many short lived humans and has tried to harden his heart against this weakness. Then into his life comes an archeologist with his little daughter. He watches her as she grows into a beautiful woman. Kira has spent her childhood among the gargoyles as company when her father was not around. She knows they hold a secret and wants to find out what it is. Then her life is threatened and Mogul must take action. Will this couple be able to be together with Mogul feeling like he is not whole and feeling like he is not a good mate to anyone especially the beautiful Kira.
Another fantastic story that will hold your attention till the last page.

I love this gargoyle romance story. Mogul is great, so protective and compassionate. Kira gets a huge wake-up call with this adventurous tale. Full of action, mystery and life-changing revelations. This group manages the hand they are dealt with teamwork and efficiency, the road to get there is a challenge and is heartfelt but I think they do a good job of building trust and finding love. Love this and I am looking forward to the next one….. I am voluntarily reviewing a free copy.
Book seven the last book in the Khargals of Duras series and I hope there is going to be more to come I want to know how this group does as they go after the Rose Syndicate how many are freed, does Hansur get a mate? This story is mainly Mogul and Kira but it is also Gravul and Penny’s story. I will be watching to see if more gets put out in this series. I read this book through KU and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
An intense and suspenseful story that will hook you, kind of spoilerish a little. There are elements of this book that are amazing! The parts of the story where they are hunted by the Rose syndicate, or where her douchy father does his douchy thing, and the whole secretive nature of the safe houses, spying and trying to save other Kargils, they were all well done and worth reading the book for. Additionally, there was the romantic subplot that detracted from a five-star rating in my opinion because although this was a deep and layered plot that involves two emotionally stunted individuals that are meant to be together but fear rejection, because of their pasts, the main story was solid mostly. It takes the whole book of them going back and forth with repetitive and too cautious inner dialogue of, will they be together, will he leave her behind, is it worth the heartache to commit, will he leave her behind, is it worth the heartache to commit, will they be together, will he leave her behind…..well, you get the idea. I didn’t like that part. I also didn’t get gargoyle’s without tails or claws, the weird disconnection with their own kind and the whole concept of the rescue ship captain finding out there are other gargs being held captive and their science so widely reverse engineered and he just happily loads the escape ship and goes home leaving just three of them behind to rescue the captured and destroy the Rose syndicate with no mention of ever coming back for them and no real assistance for the task that they assigned themselves to. It was greatly unfulfilling. So the ending was anti-climactic and felt unfinished, the two main characters were likable on their own, but as a couple, they were too wary and doubtful. I have read many of the previous books in this series and this one is good fun to read, just be aware that some of the details do not mesh with some of the previous storylines.
This book was great. A lot of action and adventure, love, betrayal, compassion. You will get caught up in it and the lives of the characters. Mogul has watched over Kira since she was little. Not to protect her but to keep tabs on her father and the Rose Syndicate. When they cross paths again later on in life, he realized that she was his mate and no matter how hard he tried to resist her, he could not. Kira was strong willed and not easily pushed over. Together, she and Mogul take down their enemies and find their happy ever after.

Both, the alien gargoyle feeling inferior but intended to protect no matter what and the neglected and betrayed woman, were hunted because of their knowledge. Mogul and Kira’s attraction had its story and mystery and the evil forces threatening them were forcing decisions they feared but had to face. A dangerous mission, adventure, doubts, suspense, drama, betrayal, violence, romance and passion in this entertaining story that I read in one sitting. Interesting and imaginative the alien gargoyle and his predicament. Liked Kira’s strong, brave and decided character. The characters and the plot development caught my attention and I enjoyed them.

The background story is great and leaves itself open for many stories and this is only one of many. I liked that there are several characters that play an integral part in this story. Kira got on my nerves a couple of times but otherwise it was a good entertaining story. I hope everyone will give this book a chance.
Kira grew up with an absent father. She was raised by nannies was too busy with his job to pay any attention to her. So she talked about all of her problems to the gargoyle that resided at her country home.
Many years later she became an archeologist and discovered something that her father then tried to take from her. She then found out that her father was part of a group that captured and tortured gargoyles to study and get high tech weapons from.
Mogul was the gargoyle that Kira shared her issues with growing up. Now she is in trouble and he swoops in to save her. Mogul has issues of his own. He cares about her and may even live her but he has an injury that prevents him from making her his mate.

The Khargals are from the planet Duras, a military unit has been stranded on Earth for decades. They are able to shift forms from gargoyle to human, and can blend in easily. They are being hunted by the Rose Syndicate, a secret organization that has been hunting them for their technology and studying them for their shifting an healing abilities. Rescue is on the way. The Rose Syndicate has stepped up their hunting.
Mogul, is a low ranking “garg”, who has been watching Niles Eastwick, a high ranking member of the Rose Syndicate, for the last several year. Hiding on the roof of his estate his neglected young daughter, Kira has spent may nights unburdening her soul to him, unaware that he is not a statue. He has developed a soft spot for her.
Kira Eastwick, had a lonely childhood, raised by nannies after her mothers death, her father has been largely absentee. She is now an archaeologist, with a teaching position at Oxford. An expedition near her family estate she finds alien technology. Technology her farther has been looking for. When he tries to take it from her, Mogul sweeps in and rescues her.
Mogul, two of his friends and Kira are trying to take out the Rose Syndicate, before the rescue ship arrives. Mogul and Kira are falling for each other. He wants to go home and she wants him to stay.
Liked the story idea, but found it to drag in places. Didn’t feel the chemistry between Mogul and Kira. I like Mogul well enough.but found Kira to be childish, acting more like a 10 year old then a college professor. A little steamy with a nice ending..

Long ago they crash landed on Earth, hidden in plain sight as stone gargoyles, now a ship is coming to take them back home. Only they have a enemy, humans in the Rose Syndicate who capture, experiment and torture them for their technology.
Kira as a child used to climb up to the roof and talk to the gargoyles. Mogul was keeping a eye on her father who’s the head of the Rose Syndicate. Years later, Kira digs in a cave near her family home and finds Mogul’s sigil, which is lighting up and broadcasting a signal that a rescue ship is going to take them home. Her father with agents demands she hands over the sigil but Mogul grabs her and flies her away. She learns that Mogul is alive and he tells her what her father job is. Kira wants to help Mogul destroy the Rose Syndicate before he leaves to go home. But along the way they get closer and have to evade being captured by the Rose Syndicate. Does Mogul realize his feelings toward Kira and claim her as mate and takes her to his planet? This is another great book written in the Khargals of Duras series by fantastic writers. I volunteer to read and review this ARC.
This is the book 7 in the Khargals of Duras Series, written by different authors. This was my first gargoyle romance story and I liked it. Mogul and Kira share a strong and beautiful chemistry. Mogul is a great character, a warrior, protective and possessive. Kira is a strong and intelligent woman. The storyline is fast-paced, action packed, and filled with mystery and intrigue. I love the HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
OOO!! I like Gargoyles. Through out history Gargoyles have been protectors. They protect against evil. The Rose Syndicate the story does not really explain if they are a part of the government or not. But I still think that it would be better to talk before you try to dissect them to see how they work. Anyway they are after them and they will need to get to the rendezvous soon to get back home. I hope they can make it. I have really liked this story. Even with all going on it is easy to read and exciting also. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Kira Eastwick liked to climb to the roof of the building and talk to the gargoyles. Over time, Mogul cared deeply for the girl who shared so many of her thoughts with him. She drew landscapes in charcoal as he quietly watched. He saw her as warm and kind, and he admired and respected her even at her young age of 12. Her nanny came up to the window to call Kira in since her dad, Niles, was coming home for her birthday dinner. Mogul had been keeping an eye on Niles who was part of an organized crime group that captured gargoyles and stole their technology for bad purposes.
Mogul woke up to quiet sobbing and saw Kira sitting near him. Her father hadn’t bothered to come home for her birthday. And he was sending her away to boarding school the following week. It began to rain and Mogul bent a little lower and spread his wings to keep her dry. He wanted to comfort her, but he knew he had to keep silent.
Kira Eastwick was used to the dank and musty smell in the Jonston Caves near her family’s estate. She was an archeologist and historian on sabbatical to explore the caves when she discovered something unusual. The object was actually a sigil, a beacon to call for rescue for the Gargoyles who have been trapped on Earth all this time! This was something her father wanted for the capture of even more gargoyles. The gargoyles just want to get home, and the crime organization is holding others captive already. With Kira being put in danger now from her father and the Rose Syndicate, Mogul is forced to reveal himself and save her. She is actually his mate, but Mogul has problems which prevent him from being a proper mate for her. What will the future have in store for them? Will Kira recognize her gargoyle she used to confide her feelings to? Will she value who he is and encourage him to be hers? Or will her father destroy everything as he has always done in her life?
This was a good story that I enjoyed. The story line was paced well and the characters were described in a way that make them likable and realistic. Mogul was a kind protector who had a very good heart. And his long-time relationship with Kira gave her something to depend on, a presence who would be there for her and care about her. Grab your copy and see if the gargoyles make it home and if Mogul finds love with his special human.
