In this emotional and “gripping rock-star romance that hits all the right notes” (USA Today Happy Ever After), a damaged bad boy fights for a second chance with the love of his life. I’m no Prince Charming. Most people know me as the drummer for Nothing but Trouble. Depending who you ask, I’m also a playboy, a loner, the life of the party, a screw-up, or according to my fans, “The Sexiest Rock … according to my fans, “The Sexiest Rock Star on the Planet.” Apparently, I’m a legend.
Am I surprised? Hell, no. It’s a reputation I’ve earned behind my drum kit and behind closed doors. No one thought foster kid Landon Cox would become famous. Infamous, maybe. Notorious, probably. But successful? Never. No one except Piper Hastings. But I had to make a choice: my woman or my career. I picked fame and fortune… and spent every damn day since pretending I don’t regret it.
Now fate’s dropped Piper back into my life. I want to believe it’s a second chance for me – for us. But while I can give her a few great nights, I can’t give Piper a future.
Because there’s a difference between a legend and a fairy tale… Only one of them ends happily ever after.

My first Tara Leigh book was fan-freaking-tastic! . Landon and Piper would not have been any more wonderful. Just the right amount of messed up. I’m always a sucker for a 2nd chance romance. I also love Rock star romances. So this book was totally up my alley!
I love when people admit that they’ve made a mistake and go above and beyond to make it right! Landon’s addictions made this took a lot more difficult for him, but I had faith that he would get it together! In reading the epilogue I found part of it slightly disturbing and I was quite happy it showed up there and not as a full blown chapter of their story… Then I just might have had to be very angry at Ms Leigh!
I’m quite excited to read more from Tara Leigh. This series is very entertaining!
The book has been sitting on my kindle for nearly a year and I’m seriously kicking myself for not reading it sooner! I was due for a rockstar romance, it’s been a since I’ve read one, and this one was everything I needed!
Tara Leigh is a new author to me. I enjoyed her writing and her characters are something else! Both Piper and Landon are multi-dimensional characters. I got the chance to experience each and every one of their feelings, while they were discovering themselves and revealing their hidden layers to each other.
Piper tried all her life to be perfect, not for herself but to please others. This fact has taken a toll on her and made her rather unhappy. Landon has been wearing a facade for a very long time. Afraid to come close to anyone, he hides his true self behind the drugs, alcohol and meaningless sex.
This two broken people couldn’t be more ideal for each other. Everything that happened between them, showed them the wrongs of their ways. Their story captured me from the first chapter and I was there with them the whole way!
“ I needed to know him. The rock star and the wounded boy. The loner. The legend.”
How come I had never heard of Tara Leigh before??
Rock Legend was just phenomenal.
This one checked all the boxes for me.
It was sexy, funny and emotional at the same time.
I adored Piper and Landon!
The passion between them can only be described as hot hot hot. Their connection blew me away. I felt it in their kiss , in their interaction, in a nutshell in every single page .
It’s the story of two lost souls who have managed to find each other again after life tore them apart.
“ We’d been all too real. A love story cut short. No happily ever after ending for us”
Now, it’s time for them to decide what do they want.
Can they get the second chance that they deserve?
Landon Landon Landon *Swoon* his character has so many flaws that makes him perfectly imperfect. I love him!
The secondary characters grabbed my interest and I have already 1 clicked Rock King.
Tara Leigh has definitely been added to my 1click list.
THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!
This was an intense read. Piper and Landon had a brief history that ended in heartbreak. However, the poor life choices Landon made led to Piper reentering his life, as his babysitter. Landon is truly troubled and influenced by his past, his regrets, and his inability to cope with them. Piper definitely helped heal as much as she could but he had to learn how to do it for himself. While their relationship was a big part of the book, the more important story-line was Landon coming to terms with needing help and sticking to getting that help. Their love faced many trials and at times, I was actually rooting for Piper to give up because I didn’t think Landon was healthy for her or for anyone. However, this was a story of Landon’s perseverance and he does reach a point where he deserves and can be good for Piper. I immensely enjoyed this book because it was challenging and thought-provoking. I can’t wait to read what Tara Leigh writes next!
“Want to know the difference between a legend and a fairy tale? Only one of them ends happily ever after.”
Rock Legend, the second installment of the Nothing But Trouble series by Tara Leigh is a great second chance novel about a hot troubled drummer.
“Her energy shuddered through me, flipping a switch I hadn’t realized had been locked in the off position until now. Until seeing Piper. Touching Piper. Kissing Piper. Again.”
Landon is really something. During his story he shows many facets. The ones you can’t help falling in love with and the ones that makes you want to take the hand of the broken boy, telling him everything is going to be ok.
Tara did really well writing and exploring his trouble with substance abuse. It was obvious he always replaced one addiction with another until he realized what really matters most to him and changed directions.
“Nothing worth having comes easy.”
Piper is beautiful in her own broken way. In Rock King we got a glimpse of Piper and I already had my biased opinion about her. Lesson learned: Don’t judge a book by its cover. She’s strong, so strong and I’m really happy that she found in Landon a guy who appreciates her for who she really is and not for her perfection.
“Piper and I were so much alike that we were exact opposites. Mirror images.”
Landon and Piper work well together. But I didn’t get as much chemistry vibes than I got from Shane and Delaney. Their story was well plotted but to me mostly predictable. The part I loved most was the petting pups center. I truly love this idea and how Tara has woven a personal experience into this book.
“I needed to know him. The rock star and the wounded boy. The loner. The legend. Landon Cox was all of those things. And then some.”
I really enjoyed reading Rock Legend, but it couldn’t really keep up with my feelings for Rock King.

Second chances and hot sparks flying? Yes please! I absolutely loved this book! This is my first Tara Leigh book and let me tell you, I am so glad that I started with this one! I was instantly pulled to the story, and was taken on a whirlwind ride.
Piper and Landon truly tugged at my heart and I fell in love with them so many times over in this story. The passion that sparks between them is incredibly magnetizing and I felt it all to my core. The heartache and pain that they dealt each other became my own with each page turn.
This book owned me. It’s definitely worth 4 Bonfires and more! What are you waiting for? Grab it now and let it own you, body and soul. Great job, Tara! Can’t wait for more.

An engaging story I didn’t want to put down
Book 2 in the Nothing But Trouble series, while there are some brief references to events in the previous book and characters carrying over, this book works well as a standalone. The author does a great job of dropping in what you need to know without going into info overload.
The author had surprised me with Piper in the first book as she was a character who could have easily turned into a stereotype but was clearly so much more, so I was curious about how her story was going to go. I was also looking forward to more background on the other members of the band besides Shane so I was happy to get the full story on Landon and a few tidbits on Dax as well (though Jett is still mostly a mystery that I expect won’t be solved until book 4, lol).
Second chances stories are a little hit or miss with me, but this one was a definite hit. Landon and Piper are well matched as two people who are both still working on overcoming issues left from their childhoods, though they come from wildly divergent backgrounds. These are complex characters, competent and vulnerable at the same time, and both hiding their pain behind masks. I was cheering for them both even when I was occasionally groaning at the choices they made.
Besides the band members (and Shane’s Delaney) there are several other interesting secondary characters–I particularly liked seeing some more development in Travis, the band’s manager and that the author continues to steer away from easy stereotypes. I love the writing style; there’s a smooth flow and touches that I appreciated, like a reference to firefly that Landon uses early in the story which is picked up independently by Piper later on; it just had a nice symmetry for me.
With great characters as well as both humor and heat, this was a well-written and touching story about overcoming the scars life sometimes leaves behind; an engaging story I didn’t want to put down and a great addition to the series. I’m looking forward to Dax’s book. 5 stars

Rock Legend is the second book in the Nothing But Trouble series by Tara Leigh, although it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the series in order so that you can follow each of the band-mates find their HEA’s as they unfold since they are prevalent in each of the books.
I enjoyed Rock King, but I LOVED Rock Legend. Landon and Piper get their second chance at love in this book, but it is a long and bumpy road that the two must travel to get to their HEA. There were times that I honestly didn’t think things would end well for them and wondered if we were going to be left with a cliffhanger. This book was not rushed at all, it just felt like they had one obstacle after another and the way they were pilling up….well it wasn’t looking good for them.
Tara Leigh gutted me with the epilogue. I enjoyed the steamy read, even with all the obstacles sexy time was plentiful and HOT! But the epilogue had me crying like someone close to me was going through what was happening and I know it’s because of the way the book was written. Tara Leigh pulled me in right from the very beginning and made me feel as if I was right there witnessing it all first hand as one of their closest friends would be, so yes I was balling like a baby for a while….even after I finished the book!
Once I completed the book I continued reading the Author’s Note and I feel the need to share it with you because I wholeheartedly agree with what she says.
**Author’s Note**
“Piper represents an all too common problem in our society – women clinging to the idea that they have to be perfect to be worthy of love.
No one is perfect.
To everyone reading this note – it is our differences and imperfections that make us who we are. Please, embrace them.
Life would be painfully boring if we were all the same.”

What a brilliant story. I have not read any of Tara’s previous books, so coming in this series at book 2 was a little disconcerting. Let me tell you…. No Worries!!! I picked right up and sailed along reading this book in a few hours. Anything that happened in book 1 was not too ingrained in this one.
This is a serious second chance at love, finding out who you really are and being the person you were meant to be. The emotions of coming back from rock bottom and self loathing were just so wonderful. Cannot wait for the next book. Headed back to read the other books that Ms. Leigh has published!

Do you love second chances? Second chances at love? I know I do! Tara Leigh has again done an outstanding job with Rock Legend, installment two in the Nothing But Trouble series. Bonus, they can be read as standalones!
Piper and Landon had a fling back when she was in college. Piper thought they were going to have the fairytale ending until Landon walked away without so much as a word. Needless to say, She has not gotten over Landon as much as she thinks.
Piper is now working for the management company that manages Nothing But Trouble, Landon’s group. She does her best to stay away from the man that broke her heart six years ago but can she? Will Landon let her slip through his fingers again?
Prepare yourselves for man whore Landon. He gets more action than my dishwasher! Naturally, he regrets leaving Piper but can he put his man whorish ways behind him and be the man she deserves?
I liked Rock King but this one was oh so gooood!!
Rock Legend is a sexy and emotional second-chance romance with a compelling, troubled famous rock star, who realizes he made a monumental mistake when he broke his girlfriend’s heart in order to pursue his music career. Landon and Piper haven’t seen each other in six years when he suddenly broke up with her without any explanation, and both have their worlds rocked when they are thrust together again. His life is spiraling out of control, and she’s been assigned to handle him and remove him from the spotlight. The attraction between them is just as fiery as it was before, and the pull is just as powerful, but Piper is afraid to trust him with her heart again. Her life also takes an unexpected turn, causing her to be further conflicted by Landon’s presence. Their journey is an intense roller coaster of bittersweet moments, steamy interludes, surprising revelations, profound realizations and heartwarming redemption, and you will feel everything along the way and will not want to stop reading for even a minute. Tara Leigh delivers a gripping rock-star romance that hits all the right notes and is sure to steal your heart.

The Rock Legend, Landon Cox, has it all except for the one who got away.
Piper never saw the break up with Adam coming. Can she get over the break up? Or will she find herself falling back with the man who first obliterated her heart?
This book was great although at the beginning I struggled with some of the references back to the first book which I have not read.
Rock Legend is book 2 in the Nothing But Trouble series. In this one we see the story of Landon and Piper. If you had read book 1 you got a glimpse into these characters. I absolutely loved this book. There is a lot going on but all intertwined. We see how struggling with one self can derail your whole life. The plot of the book kept my attention. Once i started reading i did not put the book down until I finished. I give this book a 5 star rating! Would definitely recommend.
Okay I am glad I found out about Tara Leigh and her Nothing But Trouble series it is worth reading right now. I thought Shane in Rock King was bad ass but Landon Cox is that and much more. On the outside he seems to have it all but when it comes to Piper well you just want to love him forever. We see a Landon nobody sees not even Piper which can be awesome, sweet and sometimes scary. Tara Leigh have to say has me enchanted with this series and wanting more from this band. Readers beware once you get a taste of Nothing But Trouble you will crave for more. LOVED IT!!
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
As I said when reviewing the first one thinking I really do not read too much of rock based novels anymore (product of the 70’s) but this author got me to change my mind for this series with also wrapping me up with that guitar cord to stay in place for this one. You will get a bad boy drummer whom will show what lies behind the image he sometimes himself don’t understand. Those are the kind you want to see who they really are but be careful they usually end up eating you up like Landon will do. I adore this is a second chance so when Piper explodes on the trail you lay back and enjoy the ride. This ride though will be turbulent with you getting sucked into their charisma. You also get to see how this author grows with it and when they get to be larger than life it will be thanks to the breath she breathes into her characters. So another one devoured that had depth and life with ending up well spent.
Tara Leigh wrote another fantastic book. Piper is strong woman on the outside, but she is fake it until you make it kinda girl. Growing up she just wanted her father to love her. If I get into more of that I’ll be given spoilers, I hate that.
Landon had a very bad childhood, to extent. He left home thinking he was to blame.
Piper and Landon meet six years ago. Fame happen and tore them apart. This is the journey in which they have to take to get back together again.
I’m giving this book 5-stars. Let me tell you why.
I read Rock King and the author introduced me to Piper Hastings. She also gave me a brief glance at Landon Cox. Nothing but Trouble’s drummer with a reputation that was more infamous than the man. Rock Legend is Piper and Landon’s story.
Piper and Landon have a history that didn’t work out. She knew him before he became a rock star. She knew the real Landon Cox.
Both characters have baggage they hide from each other. But as always, the truth usually comes out at the worst time.
The sparks are still there between them. The author knows how to write some very sexy angst.
Good and bad things happen to both characters. One thing I want to point out is that Landon has some very bad habits. I don’t want to spoil it for you, so I’m leaving it at that.
There were many surprises that I didn’t see coming as I read the book. There were also a few times I wanted to throw my Kindle but didn’t. I continued reading, hoping that Piper and Landon would eventually get their HEA. But did they?
Overall, the book had an amazing storyline. I felt for each of the characters as I found out why they are the way they are today. Piper and Landon are good people who were dealt several bad hands in their lives.
If you love to read rock star romances with lots of angst and very hot sex, then I highly recommend you read Rock Legend. It was well-written with lots of heart.
Wow! I have never read a book by this author before and I can say after reading this book I will definitely be reading more from her. This book was so so good that I read it all in a day and could not put it down. The story of the rock legend Landon and the sweet always trying to be enough Piper was epic. I love rock star books and this one is now in my top 5. Landon was such an awesome and sexy character you can’t help but to fall in love with him, flaws and all. Piper aka Pippa was written so well anyone can relate to her need to prove she is enough and try to live up to others expectations. I had so many quotes I saved from the story because it was full of such awesome advice and remarks especially at the end the author’s note:
“Piper represents an all too common problem in our society – women clinging to the idea that they have to be perfect to be worthy of love.
No one is perfect.
To everyone reading this note – it is our differences and imperfections that make us who we are. Please, embrace them. Life would be painfully boring if we were all the same.” AMAZING this author is a new favorite 🙂
Amount of sex 3 / 5
How explicit is the sex scenes 3 / 5
Story 5 / 5
Overall: 5 / 5
I recently read Rock King from author Tara Leigh, and loved it so much! I couldn’t wait for the next book in the Nothing but Trouble series. When Rock Legend popped up on my Kindle, I was so excited. Not only was this an excellent story, but it absolutely flipping rocked!
Rock Legend tells the story of Landon Cox, who is the drummer for Nothing but Trouble. Landon is a successful rocker with a huge house and lots of money. He is a well-known partier who enjoys his booze and one night stands. That is until he saw Piper Hastings, the woman that he walked away from to become a successful rocker.
Rock Legend is emotional, steamy, full of drama, and completely un-put-downable.
A must read series!

Tara Leigh, you had me at rock star!
I am as big rock star book groupie, and couldn’t get enough of Rock King, so diving in to Rock Legend was not rocket science.
In fact, I think I liked Rock Legend more than Rock King.
Landon and Piper’s story is full of their history, their heartache, their regrets. All whilst trying to maybe/maybe not get back together.
Ugh, Landon is such a manwhorish douche at times, but you can feel his love for Piper fall off the page. I still wanted to slap him with my Kindle a lot of the time, however I couldn’t help but adore him and all his issues.
Piper – girl, you rocked this thing. Don’t you let him right back in there. Make him fight for you!
This book had two of my favourite things – rock stars and a second chance romance. Once I picked it up I couldn’t stop reading it. I adored seeing more of Shane and Delaney and where they are at now.
Now I am impatiently waiting to see which Nothing But Trouble guy gets their story next.
