Rex Løve. Lion Shifter. International Sex Symbol. Rock God. As the lead vocalist of the internationally famous band Lionheart, his deep, powerful voice and raw masculine beauty have made him the king of the music jungle. To his millions of adoring fans, he’s the stuff fantasies are made of.To those closest to him, he’s a self-absorbed pain in the ass. Alice Kensington knows this better than … knows this better than anyone. As Rex’s personal assistant, she’s responsible for keeping the king of beasts happy – a difficult task on the best of days. After all, finding gazelle-flavored ice cream in the middle of the night isn’t exactly easy.
Rex might be a creative genius, but his egocentric ways are making things difficult for those closest to him. He can’t understand why his privileged offspring would want to waste her life with something as pointless as a career in science. Nor can he fathom why his beautiful, capable human assistant won’t just give in to her desires and sleep with him when so many others jump at the chance.
Except Alice isn’t human, and her lioness insists the exasperating alpha male is her mate. Even worse, she’s gone and fallen in love with Rex and come to care deeply for his brilliant, introverted daughter.
Unfortunately, it might take losing it all for Rex to realize everything he needs and wants was right there all along.

I usually avoid stories involving rock stars, but loving other stories by Zanders, I gave it a try. It was very entertaining! Lots of humor, interesting characters, fast moving story, surprises, redemption, romance, and shifters. HEA
I’m usually not a big fan of Rock Romance but PNR and Abbie Zanders had me wanting to read this. Engaging characters and a humorous storyline made this a very enjoyable read. No angst, quick resolutions and no wasted dialogue and unnecessary plot twists will have you laughing and cheering on the h and wanting to brain the H.
Rex was a total ass in the beginning and
has got to be the most delusional, petulant and narcissistic shifter alive, I almost felt sorry for him a time or two and found myself laughing at how clueless he was. Alice deserves a medal for how much she put up with.
Alice is a freakin saint and I honestly don’t know how she put up with the jerk for as long as she did. Loving, smart, dedicated and one hell of a lioness she made a great h.
Johnny the panther shifter was an awesome secondary character and I would love to see more of him.
Abbie, you rocked it! Loved this book!!
I have read many shifter novels that didn’t come close to the world you created. It wasn’t over the top but well blended into reality. You started off strong and continued the pace of the characters and the storyline throughout. The characters were engaging and the story was humorous throughout.
Rex is an arrogant, self-absorbed rock star and a lion shifter so he really wouldn’t have it any other way. He likes to be pampered. King of the jungle, rock star god, close enough in his book. Honestly, as a reader, you think you are gonna hate him but you don’t. He just grows on you. His character doesn’t shy away from his mistakes, it just takes a while for him to figure it out and then he faces them head-on. Alice (his PA) is incredible. She has the patience of a saint until he gives her an ultimatum. But she stayed strong and didn’t cave in. She was an incredibly strong character. Loved HER! What’s the old saying, you don’t know what you have until you lose it. Well, it took him long enough but I like how you brought them together. I really, really hope you write more about this bunch.
I would like to see who Johnny whines up with. Happy Reading!
Rex Love is the lead singer of Lionheart and lives up in every way to his sex symbol status. He loves women and having the best of everything, which is why he has his assistant Alice Kensington to cater to his every whim. He wants to bed her too and he is working his way into having her but she is playing hard to get. However, when she walks out on him he is stunned. Now his daughter has disappeared as well and only Alice can help him but will he realize too late what he has in front of him, his mate?
I wanted to like this one but I thought Rex as horrible. He was so into himself that the ah ha moment came a little late to redeem himself.
