10 cities in two weeks 10 famous rock starsOn my kneesAgainst the wallOn my titsI don’t care. As long as I get the evidence to prove it.Why?Because I caught my former prick of a boyfriend from Heavy Metal Enthusiasts doing a groupie doggie style backstage on the night we were supposed to be celebrating our 1 year anniversary. He told me I was too uptight.Too vanilla.Too boring. So I got drunk with … uptight.
Too vanilla.
Too boring.
So I got drunk with my bestie, Marsha West, the aspiring videographer. I ranted. I raved. I came up with a crazy idea.
What I didn’t know was that my best friend recorded me. Marsha put the video up on YouTube. It went viral with 10 million hits. Now I’ve got fans and sponsors offering me big bucks.
Rock stars are volunteering to be my fck buddy.
Hollywood is calling.
I get to choose which rock stars I want.
The stakes are high.
This sht just got real.
What could go wrong?

Was really redundant and thus not as erotic as I thought it would be. The threesome scene was weak along with the scene with the woman. I was really expecting more.
I didn’t really know what to expect when I started reading this book, but it sure sounded good! The whole theory behind RFC makes a lot of sense but I’m glad it ended the way that it did!!! Wayyy more realistic ending 🙂
Now this book was interesting, very funny in parts and a little sad in others
Looking forward to see what happens to the characters
This is my first Michelle Mankin book and it was certainly worth the time!! I thoroughly enjoyed the unusual storyline. To be honest I was a bit hesitant because it is so different. It is something you have to have an open-mind about because of the synopsis given, I think some people will be turned off by it but they shouldn’t be. It is incredibly sexy and has some super hot and steamy scenes.
This book has angst but it is still fun and empowering for women. I have always been fascinated by American Indian history so all the references to the Navajo Indians was great. I did take .5 away for 2 reasons one I wish the scene between Marsha & Raven outside of the hospital was more…..not sure what I mean by that, but only that it seems like such an important scene that it needed to be more. Also for the Dallas Cowboys reference since I am a Houston Texans fan. 😉
Raven and her best friend Marsha are out to meet and have sex with 10 rock stars. Raven meets Lucky but doesn’t want to get entangled because she thinks he could be dangerous for her heart. Lucky is determined to get his girl, even when she’s with other guys. I liked the premise of this book. The characters are interesting. The plot is easy to follow and makes you want to read more in the series.
Book one in Rock F Club series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone with HEA for this books couple. Love the band the Dragons, they offer great secondary characters. Lucky is the perfect man it just takes Raven some time to realize it. I was rooting for Lucky from the beginning and was sad with some of the choices Raven made. I loved this Rock-star romance, it is impossible to put down once you start reading.
Good book
For such a racy title for a book, it not what the title says. It was a journey for Raven. Spiritual to find herself. She finds out how to let go of guilt of the past, and she is not mess up that she thinks she is.
Great book!!!
OK, I HATE the title, just hate it, find better words than the f-word, you can, I know you can. Still, the story was better than I thought it would be given the crappy title, but the cover guy was hot and I was sucked in by a set of muscles, sue me. It’s worth getting past the title cause it was an odd but interesting premise and not as sleazy as it sounded. I did have some minor issues. Marsha should have been making money from her popular u-tube site, yep, she would have been raking it in. The story slowed down too much at the end and the Hawk feather was pushing it too much into sappy territory. There was no need for it, scene should have been cut. editing.
I tried. Couldn’t get much past the first 1/4 of the book and I walked away. The writing style and the entire premise of the story just really annoyed me. I read all kinds of romance: sweet, steamy and very hot but this one just wasn’t for me.
What can I say about Rock F*ck Club? This story is EXACTLY what you’d expect..and so much more! Michelle Mankin rocked with RFC. The premise is unique, the characters engaging and it’s perfectly executed . If there is one “lifestyle” that is the epitome of drama it’s the world of rock-n-roll, and it’s clear Mankin knows this world and how to how plot some drama. It’s a world that is not for the faint of heart and there are moments that RFC gets pretty darn intense, deliciously intense that is.
The story opens with a young woman in tears as Raven discovers her rock star boyfriend in a compromising position. Rock stars, go figure? But Raven devises the best revenge plan. One that empowers her. She’ll be in charge and she’s decide who among the primo rock musicians she’ll sleep with. All on her terms. With her bestie Marsha, she sets out to level the playing field and the Rock F*ck Club becomes a movement.
Mankin captures the rawness and churn of the emotions that Raven experiences throughout the “tour”. There are a few “trophies” (potential and actual) that force Raven to make choices that lead to some potentially soul damaging predicaments, leading her to make choices she might have avoided. Attraction and revulsion co-mingle as plans get derailed and interactions go sideways. However, with risk comes reward. There may be a certain candidate who manages to get under Ravens’ skin (and vice versa). This man among boys, I’ll call him the “favorite potential inductee” is one lovable and luscious luminary. But most importantly, he cares and he’s genuine. Their connection complicates her task and makes for some interesting escapades.
Mankins characters are complex without being overly complicated and fussy. Backstories serve their purpose well, they flush out who they are and why they’ve become what they’ve become. Raven is endearing; loyal, logical and driven, and she’s also very kind. Nothing she does hurts anyone else and she’s mindful of that. As you’d expect, there’s a fair amount of secondary characters that advance the story and Raven’s plight. Mankin brings in some of the characters from her other series and mixes things up by putting Raven firmly in the hot seat. She’s got a path, but does she want to stick to it. Does she have a choice?
I’ll admit I came into this read with the standard assumptions about rock stars and life on tour. Mankin took my expectations of the lifestyle to a new level of fantasy (not that I’ll ever be able to witness it but a girl can dream ~ ). Her writing style is descriptive and made me feel as though I was a part of the tour, on the bus and ready hit the highway. I have more highlights than I can count. I don’t believe this is a part of a series but I sure would love to check in on Sky, Rocky and the boys (wink wink, nudge nudge) RFC is 5 stars of well paced adventure and fun. I recommend this to all you lovers of rock star romance! #girlpower #rockallstars
Could not put it down. Stayed up all night to finish. Then read another one by the same author.
I didn’t even finish it. I don’t like it when men treat women like sexual objects, and I don’t like it when women do it either.
Funny and couldn’t put it down
Fun Read and a sexy British rock star makes it special.
This was not a particularly believable/realistic story but had well-drawn characters and very steamy, creative relationships. Pretty graphic.
I know what I expected. This book shattered those expectations. I loved Raven and her journey. She’s empowered, sensual, sweet, caring, determined. Definitely steamy. Strong women. Not a groupie. Turns the men on their heads. I also enjoy reading a book where a woman gets to own her sexuality.
Terrible!! Slowest most ridiculous book ever! Characters aren’t likeable and it is sooooo unbelievable and again… S…L….O….W. Got about a third of the way through …. flippped to the last chapter and didn’t feel like i missed a thing
Boring
I liked it more than I expected.
