Josephine Poet has completed filming for her season of the Rock Fck Club. The rocker she has chosen has invited her to take a long ride with him…on his motorcycle. She wants nothing more than to spend every moment she can with the handsome lead singer of Anthem. But is the Rock Fck Club really through for her? Are her troubles truly behind her…or are they lurking just around the next bend in … next bend in the road?

Unfortunately, this one just didn’t have the hook and the feeling of the rest of the series for me. I know part of it has to do with the fact that honestly it wasn’t really about the reality tv show the series began based on. Jo was basically done with the show, and just trying to figure out how to get out of the contract without having sex with anymore guys because she’d found her right one. All the parts about being able to decide when you’re finished if you don’t want to do the full number of guys, well I get that. It’s part of the empowerment for women. That part was great. The steamy scenes were as steamy as you’d want. But, in the beginning I began to feel as if it was making sure you had one scene in every chapter. And it almost got to be too much, I actually began skimming through those scenes to get to actual story, and that is not normal for me.
The plot was a depressing angle for the whole story, so that was kind of hard to read. And Jo kept doing what annoys me with not giving the other person a chance to decide what is right based on all the facts and history.
I’ll try to remember the series based on the first books that I loved, and just be okay with the end this way.
Death and guilt have ruled her life. Now Gale wants to show her that forgiving herself and letting those who love her in is more than her past.
The RFC brought them together but will it tear them apart? Love, pure love is meant to be fought for and Gale is determined to show her the beauty of his heart.
A beautiful romance that will warm your heart.
You could not ask for a better wrap up to RFC series. The main story is how Jo can find acceptance within herself to claim the love of her band mates, her fans, her best friend Dolly and her soulmate Gale. The friendship, love and hot hot hot between Gale and Jo will will touch your heart. As usual Michelle Mankin has given us a continued story arc from the rest of the series which allows us to keep in touch with all the characters. I love that Mary Timmons from Black Cat Records once again is there to give advice and see her artists don’t stray too far. She also is a tie to all Mankin’s books. You will truly feel part of the Rock and roll family as the bands gather together to support each other and honour Arrow in a way that only true Rockers can. I love the message of women supporting each other in their right to choose their lifestyle. A must read!!!!
Gale and Jo have been through so much in the past and the last book. One of them is ready to move on with living and love. The other is doubting things as some problems were cropping up in the last book. Will Gale be able to keep Jo’s heart? Can the couple overcome the past? A good wrap up for the series with the door still open for more at a later date.
This is the continuation of Jo & Gale’s Story – with the heartbreaking loss in the last book, everyone is trying to get back to things. Gale wants to take Jo on a motorcycle ride just to get away and spend time with each other. Of course, right before this there is a wrench thrown in and Jo has some real thinking to do. Jo’s struggles with her past are hard enough but when things start to come to the present real fast she doesn’t want anyone else getting hurt because of her – Gale is determined to make sure she knows he is front and center with her right there by her side no matter what – the push and pull with them during these times was so truly well done. You can feel the angst coming off both of the them – the hurt they both felt in the past, as well as the pure love that have for each other. Beautifully written –
With this being the end of the series – I have mixed feelings – happy they way it out came together – sad that there are still a few things left undone – and hopeful of what may still come – fingers crossed!!
4.5*
A great and beautiful conclusion to Jo and Gale’s story. Also, an emotional well-written farwell to the series. I’m sad to see the series end but it was a wonderful experience to read these three exceptional women and their journey to find love.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
I have been a fan of Rock F ck Club since it started, and I loved getting a second glimpse at Jo and Gale. Jo especially grew so much in this story, she had so many things from her past to come to terms with. Gale did too, however, he was more mature than Jo in some ways, and I think that’s partly because he had known love his whole life, from his parents, from his friends, and from other important people in his life.
The friendship between Jo and her band was still strong, even as the action was mostly focused on Jo and Gale on a road trip. Through phone calls and important updates, Jo, Dolly, Lin and Lark kept in close contact to cheer each other on and just be there for each other. This is the girlpower aspect of this series that I have come to know and love so much!
Of course, the love story between Gale and Jo is the focal point, but all the other story arcs were so well done, too.
Towards the end, Gale and Jo met up with not only their own band mates, but other bands with Black Cat Records as well, and it felt like a reunion, even with the heavy backdrop that was a part of it.
Definitely recommend this one to everyone who loves a strong romance with female friendships that are true, and lots of hotness to boot.
What a wonderful way to wrap-up this unique series. RFC is all about empowering women with the ability to embrace their sexuality without fear of judgement. Each woman in the series went about their journey in different ways but all managed to find real love despite trials and tribulations along the way. This final story once again follows Josephine and Gale (my favorite couple in the series!) as they navigate past and present obstacles on their way to a future together. These two are meant to be together but Jo worries about her past hurting Gale. And then there are the current issues causing problems, namely her commitment to RFC. Gale, however, is determined and laser-focused on proving to her their relationship is rock solid and a forever-deal. I adored how they each went about wanting to protect each other and love one another even when it put them and their agendas at odds. There is angst. There is love and loyalty and friendship. And there is smoking chemistry. And there is love. And love conquers all. *sigh*
I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
Here we’re back with Jo Poet the newly appointed Lead Singer of Joey’s Band & Gale the lead singer of Tempest & who we saw getting together in book 5 where Jo signed up to be the next Girl for the RFC series.
And we’re starting off on the final night of the tour after the tragic bus crash & where they both of chosen to & go off together to spend some intermit time together & become closer though really in Jo’s thoughts it’s making the last time of being together.
And it’s during that time my tears came pouring out after the time came all of a sudden after a call from her estranged mother….
Find out if she succeed to push Gale away or will his strength makes her see who & what she is.
Another Fantastic joining together & openness, wish I could say I couldn’t put it down but I had to with one thing or another but I know for sure I wouldn’t have as I hated it when I had to.
Absolutely loved this one as much as the previos episodes
Michelle blew me away with this book. Absolutely, whole heartedly love this series! The friendship and love these friends have for one another and Gales love for Jo is so intense. I love Jo’s strength and her sass. I highly recommend this book, this series, and this author to others.
“Even the darkness has light because of you.”
As the final book of the Rock F*ck Club series, Ms. Mankin has truly outdone herself with Jo and Gale’s journey. There is so much raw emotion that comes from these characters as they navigate their way through a challenging world. Each one has had his/her share of tragedy and the choices they make forge the people that they want to be. This book builds on the previous books in the series and I recommend reading them in order. Jo is having a hard time with believing that she is worthy of Gale and tries to dissuade him at what seems like every turn. However, he is a man of strong convictions and knew from the first time he set eyes upon Jo that she was it for him. The bond that they forge through the music is one that allows for dealing with the highs and lows of any situation. Helping the romance blossom is Jo’s friends that keep her on the path to her happiness. It is not a smooth ride and when all is said and done, will Jo and Gale be able to weather the oncoming storms? You must read this book to find out! I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Rock F*ck Club (Girls Ranking the Rock Stars Book 6) was another great read by Michelle Mankin. This book is the conclusion to the Girls Ranking the Rock Stars Series. Josephine finished filming her season of Rock F*ck Club. She has been invited for a long motorcycle ride by the rock star she chose. Unfortunately Rock F*ck Club doesn’t seem to be through with her yet. I really enjoyed reading this book and enjoyed the conclusion to this great series. I cant wait to read more by Michelle Mankin.
I have enjoyed this series since book one, I loved how the women owned there own sexuality and made no apologies for it. They flipped the script and I loved it!! Jo and Gale’s story may be my favorite of the series, it was deep, emotional and took you on a journey acceptance and I’m going to miss the series
RFC 6 was a read that will take you a bit out of your comfort zone. You are in for a long ride! I loved Jo and Gale. They do not have an easy road and Gale stole the show when he proved he was in it for the long haul. We still get the epic drama when it comes to taping a realty show. So much happens and emotions crosses a lot of lines. I love how Jo became stronger for herself. The RFC series kept me on my toes and has become an addicting series you don’t want to miss out!!
Going back into this rockstar would makes me feel giddy. Yes I used the work giddy. I can’t help it. Don’t judge me. Lol.
Jo and Gale continue their love story in this read. They are figuring out how to be together especially after a recent loss. Jo is still learning to forgive herself and Gale is learning to really live again. The story includes a fantastic road trip, amazing conversations with friends, and some spiciness that keeps my addiction high.
This is such as awesome read that I hated when it ended. If fact I wanted the story to continue. Ugh I am vindictive and wanted to experience Jo’s biological father getting his. Lol. Yes that wasn’t the point of the story and I am glad Jo got to meet her sister. Love it. You will get ALL the juicy details and so much more as you read on. Wink.
Eek I so hope we get more reads in this series. SOOO GOOD!
Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO
Another great addition to this fantastic series, Jo and Gale’s story was amazing. Jo has her deep demons to confront, Gale is just there by her side no matter what was happening. Their road was rocky but somehow they made it. This book is so full of emotions, I love Gale so much, I think everyone should have one in their lives, his unconditional support melted me. This book captured me from chapter one and didn’t let me go until the last page. Their story was so worth it a brilliant plotline that stole my heart. Astonishing 5 stars!
Gale is Amazing!!
Jo is the tough rock girl who now leads her own band, is the next star of the RFC and has come out with finding a true love with Gale who is a talented rocker in his own right. She healed Gale and brought him back to life after losing his wife and son in an accident. Now it is Gale’s turn to heal the broken Jo.
Their story has taken on an almost fairytale feel with the hot rocker who will hang onto to a woman he has fallen for with everything that is within him even though she thinks she unworthy of him. She has been through so much and has no self-worth so it’s up to him to show her she is worthy of everything that has come her way.
As with all the installments of the RCF this is another great addition to the series. I cannot wait to read more of Ms. Mankin’s rock star books.
I have really enjoyed this series and the way Michelle Mankin let the women be in charge of their destinies and their hearts. With Rock F*ck Club #6 as the (hopefully not) last book in the series, we get more of Josephine Poet and her life with the extremely sexy and soulful Gale LaFleur. With theirs not being the easiest of love stories, the sheer will and determination on Gale’s part to make sure that his rock n roll princess knew that she was loved and cherished forever was admirable. I adored his devotion to Jo and not taking any of her protests too seriously that she would never be good enough. For as much as this is Jo’s story and her finally coming to the realization that her past indiscretions didn’t matter to any of her closest friends and allies, getting Gale’s POV clearly allowed him to shine just as brightly.
With a motorcycle journey as the literal and figurative vehicle for Jo to finally put her demons to rest, the deep emotion felt as she and Gale figure out a hopeful future was truly heartbreaking at times. I could understand Jo’s hesitance to continue to love this incredible man, not wanting him to drown in her mistakes. But that Gale. Oh wow. What a mighty good man he is. Never succumbing to Jo’s doubts, just simply wanting to be by her side no matter what may happen and loving every inch of her body, mind and soul. He is a dream and may just be my favorite of the series.
The underlying sadness that is from an horrific event that occurred in book 5 (and a must read before this one imo) lays the groundwork for Jo and her band going forward, with present and past relationships hanging in the balance. But Mankin knows how to keep her rockers close in spirit when they can’t be there in person and it’s that true sense of family that will undoubtedly see all of them through.
Although this feels like the end, there is still so much more ahead for Joey’s Band and its wonderful members. There are a few loose ends and especially with the bonus epilogue that you can download at the end of the book, I have a good feeling that this is not the last we’ll here from Jo, her amazing bestie in Dolly and the twins, Lark and Lin. I have a deep fondness for these bada$$ women and the tight bond they have so I’ll be patiently waiting for more.
Michelle Mankin was clearly made to write about this incredibly unique concept in the world of rock n roll where the women make the rules and the men can’t help but gladly follow along. Giving everyone involved the respect and dignity they deserve. With that said, it’s my pleasure to give Rock F*ck Club #6 5 huge rockin’ stars!
The sixth and final book in the ROCK F*CK CLUB series, this book continues the romance story of Josephine Poet, drummer of Joey’s bank and Gale LaFleur, the sexy lead singer of the bank Anthem. From beginning to end, I was on an emotional rollercoaster ride that I couldn’t get off. RFC is filled with so many emotions… angst, heartache, guilt, loss. Add in off-the-chart chemistry, love, hot scenes, and of course, a HEA, and you get a well written, beautiful and unforgettable love story.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
This one was one was a good read. I’m was sad to see that this is the last one in the Girls Ranking the Rock Stars Series but I was glad to see the we got more Jo’s and Gale’s story. Jo is an amazing character. She has overcome a not so nice past. She’s still struggling with the past. In book 5 just wanted to give her a hug and this one I was rooting for her to have happiness. I loved Gale too. He knows Jo is the one from him and he won’t back down. He’s patience and sweet. This one is on definitely one you should read.
4 1/2 Stars
