Only there’s cameras rolling, and they’re offering me a ton of cash. The money and publicity are just what Joey’s Band needs. A means to an end for a bad girl who knows how to … to an end for a bad girl who knows how to rock but isn’t looking for anything good.
But what happens when wrong and right collide?
It’s naughty versus nice in Rock Fck Club’s Season Three.

I want the Rock Fuck Club to really be made into a TV show!!! Well I am sure it would have to be on pay per view or cable channels cuz this book is “Too Hot For TV!!!” lol Sooo much angst, heat and lawdddd the sexual tension was off the chain!!! I still have a smile on my face cuz I love LOVE me some angst, heat and sexual tension when I am reading!!!
I tell you each book, Mankin blows my mind a bit more and I have loved every single one of these books but… I do have to say Rock Fuck Club #5 is now my very fav.
I sooo want to tell you several of my very fav scenes…some really HAWT sexy scenes but I don’t want to ruin it for you, so I will just say that these rockers-the gals and guys in this book are gonna blow your effing socks off!!!
5 “Mankin you Rock” Shining Stars!!!!
“It seemed we had to go far to find a place where my misgivings and his hope could intersect.”
I’m a rockstar romance addict, all about the music, concerts, backstage and tour bus shenanigans. I’m also all for #GirlPower and the #RFC. While this story has all of that, what got most of my attention and gave me all the feels were the beautifully broken characters who found each other on their way to healing.
Josephine Poet is badass. While she might seem cold and distant to some, those that are close to her see behind the wall she keeps up to protect what’s left of her heart. She’s the drummer for Joey’s Band, an all-girl band, and her bandmates are her family. They are the only ones allowed behind her wall. Well, at least they were… until him.
He recognizes something in her that speaks to the broken pieces in himself. He agrees when she tells him, “You see me the way I want to be seen, and understand me. You don’t ignore the broken pieces. Instead, you admire my courage for the parts I’ve salvaged. I want to believe we could make each other whole.” Too bad she signed a contract to be the RFC girl this season and she has to be with ten rockstars to fulfill her contract.
They both have secrets that they’re afraid to share. Worried that even more truth on top of their already fragile foundation will cause it to topple. How can they even consider a future together with so much left unsaid between them? “Sure, I wanted to ride him…ride with him. But I got, even if he didn’t, that getting on the back of that motorcycle with him would mean something.”
So many obstacles in their path. So much pain in their past. So much passion between them. Life is messy, and love is complicated.” Yeah, I loved the hell out of this story and I know that you will too. I don’t know if there will be more in this series or not, but I sure hope so. The line forms here…
Love these books! They keep getting hotter and hotter! Can’t wait for the next one!
Michelle’s books are always steamy but this one in particular packed a HUGE emotional punch on top of that! Always a fan of her books.
RFC #5 is amazing. Michelle Mankin has clearly set the bar high with this incredibly touching book. This time around we have the tough as nails Josephine Poet as the newest ‘contestant’ for the RFC, as season 3 is ready to roll. And like her predecessors before her, things get a bit complicated as her heart may just be taken before filming her first conquest even gets started. The man who might just be the balm she has sought for her broken soul, just may be the one who may heal his own at the same time.
Gale and Jo. These two are fractured in both mind and spirit. Each having survivors guilt for lost loved ones who are always at the forefront of their thoughts. But Mankin beautifully puts Gale and Jo together and not just as potential lovers. No, they are each other’s sounding boards and the way they effortlessly talk to one another and share their hurt was truly the core of this story. Sure, there are obstacles with RFC and the contract Jo signed, she having to bed 10 rockers. But the way her journey is intricately woven with Gale’s urgency to finally break free of his grief was perfectly executed.
I really love Jo and the way she has this no nonsense persona. Yet, she is fully aware of the people around her. Her fellow members of Joey’s Band. Omgoodness, I adored them all. With Dolly as the woman who would love her from afar and would have her back no matter what. And the twins always making Jo shake her head at their sexual prowess yet knowing they are two of the best friends she could ever wish to have. The girl power in this book is fierce and is central to not only Jo but her band-mates as well and the support shown by all is unbelievably wonderful.
In addition, since this is Rock F*ck Club, the trysts that Jo puts together are some of the hottest Mankin has written for this series. Let’s just say Jo gets very creative and what transpires is wildly erotic. With her last ‘session’ really tender as well. Showing the world she is her own boss and will love and share her body the way she wants to. The woman sets her own pace and everyone around her takes notice and respects her for it.
Despite deep-held secrets, times of crisis and the threat of losing it all, Josephine Poet is a survivor and is one helluva rock chick. She turns RFC on its ear and I loved every minute.
For the truly unique in the world of indie books, Michelle Mankin has created some of her best work to date and I loved being along for the ride.
Rock F*ck Club #5 is well worth your time and I happily give it a big 5 stars!
Book five in the RFC series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Secondary characters are from previous books in the series, but this book has different main characters finding their HEA. RFC’S new star is in an all-girl band that needs the exposure. She has a serious case of survivors’ guilt and believes she’s unlovable because of her past. She meets a nice guy who is also broken, but ready to move forward with her. I loved how their reluctant friendship allowed them to open-up to each other. Their road was not easy, it was paved with heartache and guilt. I did not like the unexpected new tragedy!! I wish the book was a bit longer with an epilogue!!!
I loved this one! I think it’s my favorite so far. When I started this one, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one because I wasn’t a total fan of Jo and I thought she might end up with someone I didn’t like. I definitely fell in love with Jo. She has a past that makes you understand why is she like she is and I just wanted to give her a hug. I loved her love interest too. Her love interest was not who I expected and I loved him. He has a past and a story to tell to. These two are broken but can put each other back together. This one is a great read.
Highly Emotive – 5 Stars
I am exhausted from reading this novel but in a good way. It feels like I have every tear possible wrung right out of me .. stocks in tissues just went up exponentially. A great read as always with plenty of sub-plots afoot and lessons to be learned. Good stuff!
I thought I got it figured it out, I was wrong, this book took a twist and I absolutely loved it. Josephine and Gale story surpassed my expectations and I think they are my favorite couple now, is hard to tell when I love the series so much, but this book took me on a journey full of angst and that kept me on my seat reading while going on an internal turmoil of emotions and the steam thermometer went off the charts. Absolutely perfect 5 star!
Loved this so hard! All the emotions packed into one couple will have you reading from cover to cover all at once. Gale is so sexy!
On to the next season of Rock F*ck club and we have Jo in the lead. She need the publicity for her band and the money ain’t to shabby! Easy money for her and her band, until that one guys she thought she left in the past comes into the bar. Gale, broken and not looking to get fixed, just trying to make it to the next day, until he sees her again. Now can they fix one another?
A passion filled book that is more that just a read, it is a walk on the wild side! Rock and Roll has never been a sexier read!
Rock F ck Club #5 was another great read by Michelle Mankin. Josephine Poet is a drummer in an all-girl band. She has one rule that she always tries to live by, she will only sleep with a guy one time. Lucky for her the Rock F ck Club Reality Show is exactly what she does in her real life. The only difference is the money that they are paying her and the fact that cameras will be following her. The reality show is everything that her band need, money and publicity. That is until she meets Gale. I really enjoyed reading Jo and Gale’s story and can’t wait to read more by Michelle Mankin.
Michelle M just keeps out doing herself! I think Jo & Gale just became my favorite RFC couple!! I love female leads that are “broken” and “undeserving” of love, it makes their stories of being found and loved so much better! Gale is swoon worthy, and because of his past and own demons he’s able to show Jo that she is not broken and worthy of being loved! This was my favorite book of the whole series! Thanks for the opportunity to read it before it was released!
I will admit that I was a bit concerned this being the fifth book and all, that maybe this storyline wouldn’t be able to keep my interest, BUT I was completely wrong.
This book has all the feels!!! Gale & Jo’s story is my favorite so far. I will say this book was profoundly sad in parts.
You still get the feeling of the women empowerment that the other books in this series give you but the sorrow this will provoke is real!
What can you say about RFC#5 except that it is hot, sexy and deep with pain and self discovery for Jo. I love the relationship between her and Gale, there are depths there that I loved and the books and lyrics connection between them just was a cool aspect of this one. I really love these characters, although I think Jo may not have thought through all the RFC show possible issues. The money and exposure for the band is key to Jo’s decision, but it’s hard to keep emotion out of the equation. There was more there with these two that made this one rise to the top of my favorites!! The girl power is awesome, love those that crazy girl band! Loved that aspect too! Bottom line read this book, this series is awesome and worth the read! Get it and jump in!!
I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review
I adore these RFC women & the rock stars they connect with. And how these women can’t get through the 10 sexual encounters BEFORE they fall for 1 of the hunks whom is to become their one & only Soulmate.
But how does Michelle get through writing these fantastic deep emotional stories without the tears streaming down her face or maybe she does have the tears streaming.
Here we have the new rock chick from the Girl band ‘Joey’ drummer Josephine ‘Jo’ who’s decided to venture into the arena to help fund the group’s finances also that’s what she believes she’s worth.
And she’s doing that & following the tour she & not just her, the rest of the girls are too, starts to get closer to the rest of Bands especially with yes Tyler & Gale the front man of Anthem.
But its Gale that she opens up to bit by bit. Both Jo and Gale’s history had me in tears, then another dramatic scenario occurs where my tears started again.
It’s such a sad & HOT beautiful read. Loved it
I spent every free moment I had reading this book. The characters Jo and Gale have lost everything they cared about. They have struggled to get their lives back. Jo joins the Rock F@ck Club for 2 reasons, money and publicity for her band. Along the journey she meets Gale, and things get complicated. Everyone makes mistakes, some just bigger than others. Jo struggles with telling Gale her story. Will he still have feelings for her if he knows the truth? She tries pushing him away, but he’s not easily people off. I recommend starting with book 1. The story and complex characters will have you captivated!!!
My heart hurts even after finishing this book, I won’t ruin it by telling any spoilers but just know that at one point in this book you may want to write Michelle Mankin a strongly worded letter!!! Mine is in the process!
But in all seriousness this was bar none the BEST book in this series! The issues and past demons that Jo dealt with were bad, but the hardest thing for her to overcome was her fear of falling in love and her hero in this book…he stole my heart from the moment he entered the book.
For a minute there you bounce between two guys vying for Jo’s love but it’s quickly realized who is Jo’s hero in this book, and I wouldn’t change that for anything.
The events in this book…I mean I said something offhanded to myself about a side character…I wasn’t expecting it to ACTUALLY happen! The emotional roller coaster that is this book!!! I cried, I yelled, I mourned, and I loved every minute of this book. In my opinion the best book Michelle has written to date, it was that good!
I eagerly await the next book…whatever it may be…to release! Michelle has become a go to author for me to read, and she’s also one of the nicest people as well!
Advanced copy received from the author in exchange for an honest review
“You’re not the type of woman a guy can ignore.
…What type of woman am I?
The type of woman who draws your attention across a crowded auditorium. The type who makes you feel things you wondered if you would ever be able to feel again. The one with mysteries that you want to unravel.”
I have read and loved everything I’ve read by Michelle Mankin! Knowing that Michelle is a talented author still left me surprised with Rock F*ck Club #5’s raw emotions, unique characters, and sexy sui generis story! The story is crisp and offers readers a beautiful level of declamatory. The storyline took on a completely different tone form what I must admit I expected but I refuse to spoil the book so I will say no more! Gale was an entirely new brand of rockstar for readers to consume. He was intense and a bookworm, sexy and incredibly intuned to the random woman he meets at an AA meeting. But that woman, Josephine, is badly broken, believes herself broken beyond repair. What could she possibly offer the extra special man who seems to know her better then she knows herself. Jo takes the RFC by storm and readers are treated to enticingly exaggerated hookups that will leave you hot under the collar! As the story unfolds, readers will get a firsthand accounting of why Jo is so greatly damaged and why this might be my favorite RFC!!! Get your hands on this single POV romance that’s equally angsty, seXXXy and sweet. You won’t be disappointed!!
Quote:
“It was a stark difference between us. A significant one. He sought to protect his life after his losses. I didn’t see the point in protecting mine.”
“You look like an oasis to a man in the desert who never expected to see anything buy more sand.”
“I KNEW ABOUT DREAMS and wishes.
The came with a price and that price was usually paid for after the magic wore off at midnight.”
“Be brave, babe. We both know the pit. What it’s like in the dark place. how you fall into it as one person and then crawl out as another. If you come out.”
This is the continuing saga of this amazing rock world with Jo and Gale talking the lead. Plan for an emotional read. This one had me tearing up from the beginning. Hands down, this book is my favorite in the series so far. So five star worthy.
You have an inkling from the start that something bad has happened to Jo and she feels responsible. She is resistant and uncomfortable in accepting the good. Her focus is her band. She wants good things for her band but in doing so some positives have to happen for her also. Her accepting the good is not something she does easily.
Gale breaks my heart but you know why from the beginning. He has suffered a huge loss that has been haunting him. He is starting to bring himself back to the fold, reentering the rock world. This of course brings Jo into his life.
These two characters together have all kinds of transitions and angst. In true rock star fashion all kinds of sexy play happens. Gracious it is ALL KINDS OF STEAMY.
Ummm this book stays true to this series and is non traditional when it comes to relationships. I actually like that. We all get to define who and how love in the way that gives our life the most meaning.
I felt this story really looked at how intimacy helped someone with self discovery and not just in terms of pleasure. Loved the insightful part of its telling.
This beautiful romance explores and gives the message of forgiveness. Truthfully, forgiving oneself can be the hardest of all.
I am possibly being too cryptic but I want everyone to go in this book blind. Figuring out all as you delve into the heart of this story is what makes it even more intriguing. Eek. So good.
Love everything about this book. Looking forward to the next chapter and couple in this series. Wink. Happy Reading Everyone! XOXO
