Roxie’s on the run from a bad boyfriend who will not catch the hint that it is o-v-e-r. She’s in no mood for love at first sight, but when her eyes fall on Hank, it’s trouble from the get-go. Roxie tries to hold Hank at arms length but Hank wants to be a closer (as in, a lot closer). Roxie’s trouble catches up with her and Hank wants to help but Roxie knows in her heart that she’s no good for a … a white hat guy. The problem is no one agrees with her, especially her crazy hippie best friend Annette or her parents; the even crazier small-Indiana-town Herb and Trish. Toss into the mix the gang from Rock Chick and Rock Chick Rescue and Roxie finds herself totally outnumbered.
Climb in for another Rock Chick wild ride through Rock Chick Redemption. As the odds stack up against Roxie, she has no choice but to hold on and just ride it out through the kidnappings, car chases, society parties, a riot at the strip club, Hank getting “Mom Bombed” and one crazy night at the Haunted House.
During all this Hank works at convincing her she really wants to stay and he, along with the Hot Bunch, go all out to make her safe. Hank also needs to work on showing Roxie that her past decisions don’t mean her future can’t include something as downright delicious as… normal.

Started reading this series 5 years ago. Can’t remember why I stopped but I’m determined to finish this series. I’ve got a ton of KA books in my tbr and I’m going to binge so hard. I love that there are flip phones in here. I used to love my flip phone especially snapping it closed when you wanted to hang up on people. Heh, good times. I’m moving on to the next one!
I enjoyed this story ‘Rock Chick redemption’ very much. It’s my favourite of the books that I read so far from this series.
Roxanne Logan (or Roxie like her friends call her) is new character in this series. Roxie is Tex’s niece, a secondary character who we met in the previous stories. Roxie is on the run from her bad (ex-)boyfriend Billy, it isn’t the first that she tried to leave him but he always manages to convince her to come back to him. But Roxie has a plan. Only that plan doesn’t involve a hot, sexy, stubborn cop named Hank Nightingale. From the first moment that they meet, there’s a connection between them and now Roxie has two problems. She has to convince Billy, her ex, that it is really over between them and she has to convince Hank that they don’t have a future together but both men are stubborn and won’t let her go. One she felt out of love with a long time ago and the other guy is very quickly conquering a place in her heart. But Billy isn’t the only bad guy in the neighbourhood. And with the Rock Chicks and the Hot Bunch in the mix of it all, things become very interesting quickly! Can Hank convince Roxie that they belong together and keep her save at the same time? Only time will tell.
‘Rock Chick Redemption’ is the third book in the ‘Rock Chick’ series. I do think it is best to start with the first story in the series before reading this one. The story is told from Roxie’s POV.
Roxie was a real KA’s female character. She was wild, crazy sassy, stubborn, caring and just very entertaining. I can understand why Hank felt for her. Hank was also a real KA’s male character. He was an alpha guy, stubborn, hot, protective and he knew from the moment that he saw Roxie that he wanted her. The connection between Roxie and Hank was intense and instantly. I enjoyed their chemistry and their relationship very much. The secondary characters made the story more entertaining. I had much fun with Roxie’s parents. This was a great story.
I have read almost all of this authors books, I’ve had all the Rock Chick books but for some reason I had not picked them up to read.
Hank and Roxie story was so good, held me from start to finish!! On to the next one!!
Excellent story! Loved the characters and the action.
So good! So gosh darn good! Addictive, witty, feisty, fiery, combustible chemistry, and more! More Rock Chicks, more Hot Bunch, and so many wonderful descriptions that draw you deep into the story and the world. Thoroughly recommend, thoroughly enjoyed!
Great series
~ Hank & Roxie ~
First, let me say, I just love how all the Hot Bunch have a separate Rock Chick they connect with on a non-romantic level (even if they wish, at some point, it were romantic, but just a teensy bit). This is one of KA’s books I reread certain parts of throughout the read. Just go to certain scenes and read. But I’m doing a full re-read of the Rock Chicks, and I really enjoyed this one. Roxie is high maintenance, and I can’t relate to that. But she has made crap decisions in her love life, and I think we can ALL relate to that. I also love her crazy family. And I love how, instead of finding them overbearing and scaring him off, Hank sees the humor in them instead.
I also just love Hank. I don’t like his misunderstanding with Roxie, or that he doesn’t clear it up immediately with her, but if he did, then he’d have been perfect. And nobody wants perfect. You may think you do, but you don’t. I love all things Hank, but especially how he embraces Roxie’s high maintenance-ness, even when recognizing how beautiful she is just as she is, without her ‘armor’.
I seriously love these two!
Audiobook edit: An awesome narrator for an amazing book! It’s almost like reading this series for the first time again!
Out of all the Rock Chicks, Roxie is a gigantic favorite. Hank is also a different sort of alpha. One who lets go of his anger. And both together equal serious awesomeness.
I read this long ago. I loved this series. Roxie and Hank’s story is just as passionate as the others. Alpha men….crazy women….loving group…action…could easily be a TV program.
Love Kristen Ashley books – highly recommend if you like romance, strong characters, HEA, often funny, heartbreaking but also redemptive – KA is the Queen
Excellent story with great characters and lots attention to detail. Loved all the drama and was on the edge of my seat.
Alright so after skipping to book six in this series I am back on track with book three. Hank you think he wouldn’t be all alpha and bada** because he’s a cop well we were wrong he’s ALL alpha, “sweetheart,” he said in a low voice. “You were here to see your uncle until you stepped into Fortnum’s and saw me and I saw you. You know it and I know it. You want me to convince you. I’m prepared to do that.” He can be scary at times but I think it’s in a loving manner, well I don’t think Roxie thinks that but I did, “you can come here or I can go over there and get you. Your choice, but I’ll warn you, you should probably come to me.” He’s also not shy to say what’s on his mind, “you’re damned lucky you make me hard just rememberin’ the taste of you or I’d think you were a major pain in my a**.” Another well done from Kristen on to the next book in the series!
Only the repeated use of words that hardly anyone uses (thus, therefore, for example), keep Kristin Ashley from getting 4 stars. She desperately needs an editor.
