Be careful what you wish for, my mother said. I wished to be a rockstar. And my wish came true. I am the biggest musical talent Australia has ever exported. And I’ve never been more miserable. Constantly on the road, singing to packed stadiums, having any woman I want; it’s supposed to be the dream. And at first it was cool—it was epic—but now it’s… hollow. It’s an endless sea of faces screaming … hollow. It’s an endless sea of faces screaming by name and not a single one of them knowing the real me.
I’m lonely.
I miss the band.
I miss my brother.
I miss her….
She was the first girl I wanted for more than one night. I think I would have wanted her forever if she wanted me back. But she didn’t. She wanted my bandmate; my brother. And it was exploding their world that made me famous.
I bet they still hate me…
Needing some time on my own, away from the crowds and the noise, I find myself on home soil for the first time in two years. But the quiet is hard to come by. My label wants an album, the press wants a piece of me, and the public makes going anywhere without a disguise a nightmare. Then I meet Lisa and she changes everything.
Closed off and unimpressed by everything about me, she’s the obvious choice when I want someene to be real with. I make her my unauthorised best friend as a result—which she hates, mind you—but she’s cool to hang around because she makes me feel normal. And I like her dog, too.
The problem with Lisa is she hates everything there is about the fame game, which makes me a problem for her. She freaks out around cameras and takes the paparazzi on a mad car chase to avoid being seen. She says she doesn’t want knowing me to mess with her quiet life. But I don’t know, maybe she’s hiding something. Or maybe she’s just playing hard to get… because seriously, who doesn’t want to date a rockstar?
Follow our cockiest Bailey brother as he discovers fame isn’t worth a thing if he doesn’t have love in this gripping rockstar romance featuring new and extended scenes from books A Beautiful Rock and Commitment, republished as Rock: Beautiful Series, Three.
Can be read as a standalone. Interconnected series, each with their own happily ever aftermore
Marcus’s story – Rock God to being a true man
Rock is the story of Marcus. He is a living, breathing contradiction as one side is full on rock star god with all the trappings it entails and the other side is sensitive longs for something real. In walks Lisa Russel to do an interview with him (filling in for her friend who was supposed to be the interviewer) with her unassuming manner who is also not fawning all over him. It seems Lisa does not follow modern music so she does not know who he really is, how big of a deal he is or what his story is. Marcus is intrigued by Lisa as well as attracted to her curves. But she is not going to give in to him so quickly or easily as she has been hurt in the past and is wary of Marcus and everything that being someone like him entails.
As with the previous books in this series Rock is a wonderful story with well developed characters and has some cross-over with the other books in the series. I was entertained reading the story of Marcus, even if I did want to hit him upside the head a few times at the beginning. But once he started to open up and grows he becomes a much better man and someone that Lisa is able to think about having a future with.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I have not read any of the other books in this series, but I felt I got enough background om both Lisa and Marcus to enjoy the book withouth having read the others! I absolutely loved this story and the chemestry between Lisa and Marcus was amazing. I loved the writing style of this author so I will find the other books and read those too!

He meets Lisa. Lisa is a quiet person and as much as she likes Marcus, she wants nothing to do with his rockstar life.
So, which wish he will get? Which life he choose, does he has any choice or right to choose?
Another well written book, great characters and beautiful journey with the twists and turns on the way to HEA

Rockers are my weakness, and oh my Lord Rock didn’t disappoint. Marcus Bailey is sex on a stick, a popsicle I would die to lick.
I love this series and it just keeps on getting better and better. I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
Can I give this book more than 5 stars? Omg. While I loved Melody, I LOVED Rock! I knew there had to be more to Marcus than a bitter rock star. This story just made me melt. I loved the banter between him and Lisa. She tried to convince ( both of them) that they couldn’t and shouldn’t be together. I fell head over heels for Marcus when his tough exterior started to crumble as he knew what he had to do to win Lisa over. I will have a serious book hangover for quite a while!

Marcus Bailey Finally Gets His Own Chance At Love. Lisa Unintentionally Captivates Him – And Their Romance Sizzles!
Marcus Bailey, twenty-six, made a name for himself by publicly humiliating the woman he claimed to love and his brother, whom she chose over him. He did it on stage while performing with his band by dedicating a song to her, and watching as she and his brother were forced to play along. He found himself without a band afterward, but his performance went viral. Two years have passed. Today he is a superstar. He sleeps with whomever, whenever. He has adoring fans who flock to his concerts. But he is lonely. His family is torn apart and the women mean nothing. His only friends are fake. He hates his life and the career that he built upon hate.
Lisa Russel, twenty-eight, works in advertising for Voyeur Magazine. She enjoys her quiet life. She was burned by a gorgeous-looking man once; she vows it will never happen again. They are all the same, after all. They use and move on once they’ve gotten bored. When her reporter best friend Sandra asks her to fill in for her by taking an interview with a rock star, she finally concedes to her desperate friend. Lisa doesn’t follow new music, so she isn’t familiar with the young Marcus Bailey.
Marcus is used to getting what he wants, and he wants the curvy brunette who didn’t recognize him when she walked in to conduct an interview. He wants to talk to her, get to know her. He hasn’t felt this way about a woman since forever. Who knows – maybe he won’t get bored with this one. Lisa refuses Marcus’s advances, and insists she is the exception to the rule. She won’t give in. But he doesn’t give up easily, and she has her hands full.
The chemistry between Marcus and Lisa is intense! They unravel and open up during their emotional journey as they battle their own fears, the public, the media, and the music industry. It takes strength to take on that much heat. Marcus’s growth is amazing to watch, and he doesn’t disappoint under pressure once he knows what he wants. Lisa has some secrets that nearly cripple her when she finally accepts that Marcus’s attention is sincere. She has her own demons to face. The couple truly deserves their HEA, and it doesn’t disappoint.
This is an updated version of the story which reportedly does a better job at redeeming Marcus. I cannot compare the two versions, but Marcus definitely turns the corner here and becomes everything Lisa thought was impossible. He finds meaning and holds on for dear life. He knows Lisa so well that he knows what is best for her better than she does herself.
This is the fourth book in the series, but it can be read perfectly as a stand-alone. It picks up the story from “Melody,” book three in the series, but nothing feels lost not having read it first, and the story eventually lays it all out. It is written with alternating POVs between Marcus and Lisa.
Their journey ends seventy-five percent through this book and is followed by “And Then There Was A Wedding.” I believe this was previously published separately as “Commitment.” It reverts to Theo and Naomi from book three, as their story is linked to Marcus’s since he and Theo are brothers and book three was about their love triangle with Naomi. This is written entirely from Naomi’s POV. Again, enough of book three is explained that the story is easy enough to follow without having read it. It wraps up Theo and Naomi’s HEA, which had been delayed until the brothers reconciled. It is a very quick read, but does a nice job at pulling everything together for a beautiful ending.
This review copy has occasional errors and proofing issues, which may be corrected in the final copy. The book has surprises as the characters’ stories unfold; the characters become more complex. Their fears and anger feel real. The mystery gets deeper as the storyline progresses, and it suddenly becomes an emotional experience. Assuming the final copy is cleaned up, I rate this book 4.5 stars.

Beautiful series just get better and better with each release.
Marcus was such a loathsome character in the previous book and I really did expect to fall in love with him let alone sympathise with him but boy oh boy Lilianna, did an outstanding job.
Page turner that you will not want to put down.
Loved the Theo and Naomi’s wedding, quite a fitting end to the brother’s story.
Looking forward to reading all about Sandra and Jonathan’s story

*5 Stars*
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
We’ve met Marcus previously, in Melody, and I really really really disliked him in that book. I didn’t think it was possible to redeem such an asshole, but Lilliana managed to do so.
I really truly liked our female lead, Lisa. She was wonderful and a huge part of the change in Marcus. She doesn’t take crap from anyone, and whilst she has her own fears and secrets, she’s a very strong female lead.
I loved how she kept Marcus on his toes, and how throughout the book, he comes to realise that certain things are more important than others, and his cocky attitude is brought in check a bit.
There is what I believe is set-up for the next book (I haven’t read the original series, but I think I’m right on this one, haha), and I look forward to continuing this series.
We also have the novella at the end, which was wonderful, and another great addition to, and chance to see some faves from this series.
This was a wonderful story which I devoured. I highly recommend this book
This is a continuation of the series featuring Marcus who had a major meltdown, when he was performing with his group, finding out his brother Theo got his girl. However it catipulted him into fame as a solo artist, still maintaining his manwhoring ways. However this life has now got old & lonely & he’s estranged from his family & former life.
Enter Lisa who, while she is extremely attracted to him, can’t repeat the mistakes of her past & wow when it is revealed comes back to haunt them in a major way.
So what does the future hold for them? That’s for the reader to find out & I must admit I liked the new Marcus.
Also included is the wedding of Theo & Naomi who appeared in Melody so I think it’s best for you to have read the previous books in the series. (Theo’s & Marcus’s mum was a real hoot in this story).
Both books are hot & while theres rock stars in it it’s not OTT.
If you’ve been reading the series this won’t disappoint.

This was my first book from this author and I enjoyed it very much. At the beginning Marcus was a spoiled little child man but he did grow on me. He slowly started to change. Lisa I liked but she did frustrate me here and there. I’m glad they found a compromise to get their HEA.
“Lilliana Anderson had me holding my breath from page to page!”
“I have never understood want until I wanted you, -Marcus”
This is part of her newly rewritten series, but each book can be a standalone.
I was drawn into Marcus and Lisa’s story from the beginning. High and mighty rock god and the girl who didn’t even know who he was! So much love, hate, secrets, and fame comes with this well written story!
Marcus is the hot rockstar who can get anyone and anything he wants. Although, he finds that Lisa doesn’t fall so easily for his good looks and charm. Lisa is attracted to Marcus but after a prior messy relationship, she wants to stay off the grid and away from the lifestyle that comes with being in a relationship with a rockstar.
After a girls night out, the world discovers secrets that were never meant to be revealed. Is it possible to say goodbye to the best thing you found, but never knew you wanted?
I would like to thank you Lilliana for each and every advanced review copy you allow me, in exchange for my honest review!
Again, I somehow missed this one when I was reading the original Beautiful series.
Now, I didn’t like Marcus – at all – when I was reading Melody. He was rude, crude, childish and arrogant. His temper tantrums just made me want to slap him with my Kindle.
I was wondering if he had any redeeming qualities at all.
I should not have wondered, I knew Ms Anderson would change my opinion of him.
Yes, he was still pushy and arrogant, until he met the right woman.
Lisa – wow, I love this woman. I loved that she didn’t fall to her knees for Marcus. She didn’t drop her knickers when he crooked his finger. I liked that it made Marcus show a bit of humility.
Her story was a bit of a surprise to me too, and rounded out their relationshlp well.
There is great set up for the next book. Star, and I can’t wait to dive in.
