Rocco is number twenty-one in the Reed Security series, and it is suggested they be read in order.Rocco has his world all wrapped up in a neat package. He has a job that he loves and his daughter, the best thing that’s ever happened to him. And he has his rules. These rules keep the order and balance in his life and the women where they should be. But he never counted on Brooke, and she’s about … and she’s about to turn his world upside down.
Brooke never had the typical love life. She tried to have it all, but there was always something that held her back from committing. Until Gary. Gary was…not really important. But being with him led her to Rocco in the most unusual way, and now she’s about to find out all about his rulebook.
Rules for Sexual Encounters:
“You were serious? You actually have a rulebook?”
“I don’t joke around about stuff like this. I think it’s best for both of us to go in with guidelines laid out about what we want out of this. This is for the occasional fck. If we decide to take it beyond that, I have a revised version of this.”
I looked down at the paper and read through the rules that he laid out.
1. Condoms will be used during all sexual encounters, regardless of the fact that the woman may be on birth control. No exceptions.
2. The woman does not have bed rights after sexual encounters and will leave within ten minutes of sexual encounter ending.
“You kick your women out of bed ten minutes after you finish fcking them?”
“What’s wrong with that? We both got what we wanted. There’s no point in dragging it out. That just confuses the situation. Besides, I work early in the morning. I need my sleep.”
“Right, and a half hour would make all the difference in the world,” I said sarcastically.
“Are you telling me that you’ve never screwed someone and then wondered why the hell they were hanging around?”
“Well, no. I mean, of course there are times that you just want the other person to leave. It’s just that it’s hard to kick someone out.”
“That’s why they agree to this. If I want her to stick around, I’ll ask her to. But by doing this, I’ve eliminated the awkwardness of the goodbye.”
“No, you’ve eliminated having to ask her to leave. If anything, the goodbye is going to be even more f*cking awkward because you’re putting such tight time constraints on her leaving.”
He shrugged. “It gets the job done.”
This guy had some serious issues that I didn’t even want to get into. I looked back at the paper and continued reading.
3. The woman does not have washing rights after sexual encounters.
“What the hell are washing rights? Like, I’m not allowed to clean up afterward?”
“You are, just not with me. I will not be washing you in any way. I won’t bring you a washcloth or wipe you down like they do in those stupid romance novels.”
“And you read many of those?”
“No, but some of the women do. Believe me, I’ve been informed what men in those novels do, and they aren’t men. Bunch of pu$$ies.”
“Okay, so, no washing rights. Got it.”
4. If asked to stay longer, the woman does not automatically gain bed rights, washing rights, coffee rights, or house rights.
“Okay, this may seem like a stupid question, but what are coffee rights and house rights?”
“Well, that part needs some adjustment since we’re living together. Basically, it means that if I do ask you to stay the night, you don’t automatically get to help yourself to coffee in the morning. Nor do you get to wander around my house and look at all my stuff.”
“Wow,” I said, not wanting to touch that with a ten foot pole.
“Hey, I just like there to be boundaries.”

Rocco is a rules guy. He has a rulebook for everything but that all goes out the window whe he meets Brooke. On the run after assaulting her ex-boyfriend and vandalizing his car Brooke is desperate. Rocco and Brooke’s relationship starts as short of ‘love/hate’ but quickly turns. There are obstacles that threaten their new found love and Brooke’s secret is the biggest challenge of all.
As always the characters were awesome. The story line was everything. I laughed out loud. I got drama, romance, action, and comedy. I loved the tie in with the previous characters.

This is the first book I have read by the author and it can be read as a standalone yet I am going back to read all of the previous books in the Reed Security series. It is a book filled with humor, drama and two characters that burn up the pages. Rocco is a single father who puts his daughter Evie first and foremost but being in the security business has him engaging in some harrowing adventures. Brooke is a woman who has grown up too fast and has always looked out for number one. On the fateful day of finishing her move into her boyfriend’s place, she comes face to face with something she never wanted to see that leads her to do something drastic. After the storm, she winds up at a gas station where she runs into Rocco and proceeds to kidnap him and take his weapon. Not one to usually succumb to a woman nor let any situation get the best of him, Rocco decides to go with the flow and winds up on the run with Brooke for a few days. Their attraction is instantaneous and the heat between them makes them fall into bed quickly but not before Rocco mentions his “rules” for women. However, all things come to an end when they get arrested by the police and the subsequent arraignment that Brooke is subjected to that changes the course of both of their lives. Can Brooke open herself up to leaning on another person and learn what it means to be family? Is Rocco willing to stay the course with Brooke? I loved reading each page of this storyline and this is one that you should read for yourself; you will be glad you did! I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
I cannot believe this book is #21 in the Reed Security Series and after reading every one of these books, Giulia Lagomarsino continues to make each of these characters interesting, the stories are page turners, and so, so funny at times. The men of Reed Security are crazy alpha, passionate, and sometimes just plain crazy. The women are strong, stubborn, and passionate about their men and families. Rocco and Brooke meet in the usual Reed Security way, strangely. Their lust grows and grows but, Brooke “hates: kids and Rocco is a single dad with rules. The storyline moves quickly, there are laugh out loud moments, some tearful ones as well. I love Rocco, Brooke and Evie. I could read this series forever! And hope I can.

First, I have to say this book will be much more entertaining if you read the rest of the series first, otherwise you will miss a lot of the “inside info”. Thanks to Sebastian, Brooke ends up on house arrest at Rocco’s. This starts the explorations of the awesome contrast between the two main characters. Rooco’s strict rules and Brooke’s lack of structure.. She hasn’t had a successful relationship and Rocco is a single dad. She hates kids, and his daughter is his whole world. Loved the book!

Brooke has some real Chutzpah. When she walks in on her soon to be ex, she expresses her discontent colorfully.
Hopping into Rocco’s truck in the aftermath embarks them on a wild ride. Both have some heavy emotional baggage but strong loving hearts
Action, adventure and stubborn and steamy romance in KU format

Absolutely fantastic story. I just couldn’t stop reading at all once I started. It was brilliant and kept me interested throughout the story. I loved the characters and the humour sometimes my heart was in my mouth thinking please no. But I loved every single thing about this story
Another interesting story from Giulia Lagomarsino and her world of Reed Security. Rocco fell this time, almost immediately, without realizing it. He was a father first, and that was where his head was at. Brooke got herself into trouble, and Rocco was her way out. I loved the craziness that was Brooke with her past coloring her view of life. Rocco was so sweet when it came to his daughter, yet gruff with all others, including Brooke. The steamy scenes between these two were definitely hot. Near the end, the emotions got stronger. I recommend this story and series if you like gritty and tough women and men.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
This is the 21st book in this phenomenal series and is am seriously in awe of this gifted author as she just gets better and better with each novel! This is Rocco and Brooke’s tale and what a magical story this is. Rocco likes his life regimental and lives by his rulebook, whereas Brooke is a rule breaker, so it is highly entertaining to read how their relationship pans out. This is a beautifully written story which is filled with action, drama, sizzling chemistry, witty banter, which all lead to a humorous and fun read, especially with the jokes the guys play on each other. I highly recommend for all readers.
I love Rocco! This book is the perfect example as to why I will never get tired of the Reed Security series. Giulia Lagomarsino has created this amazing world and casts of characters that has me hooked with each and every book.
Rocco and Brooke were absolutely hilarious, they had me laughing so hard it hurt. Then add in the Reed Security crew and I was in tears laughing. These books would not be what they are if it was not for the entire Reed Security crew. These characters are so close that you cannot have one without the others, this series would not be the same.
Rocco and his rule book were no match for Brooke and her sas. She came into his life like a hurricane and never really stopped the disaster she created. The chemistry these two have towards each other jumps off the page right from the start, which is how Rocco ends up in the mess he’s in. I have to say I think Brooke is a brilliant addition to the Reed Security woman. She is just as crazy as the rest of them and will keep Rocco on his toes forever.
Giulia Lagomarsino knows how to make me laugh one minute and make my heart hurt the next. Rocco is a rollercoaster of a ride that I could not get enough of. I never wanted it to end but couldn’t put it down. I read the entire book in one sitting and I’m not even sorry! I just loved everything about Rocco and Brooke. I cannot wait to see what she gives us next.
Rocco by Giulia Lagomarsino is book 21 in the Reed Security Series. This is the story of Brooke and Rocco. I haven’t read the previous book so for me I thought it could be a standalone book.
Brooke is working to move forward with her boyfriend but finds out he is cheating on her. Of course Brooke didn’t handle it well and that out come is her now ex boyfriend is after her. This leads her to meet Rocco in a somewhat funny way. Rocco is a ex military guy who now is now working as part of the Reed Security team. Rocco also is a single dad to Evie who is his main focus and doesn’t date. What he does have are rules for women in his life when he does go further than a short encounter. When he ends up meeting Brooke she breaks all his rules and drives him crazy but he can’t seem to stop her crazy train nor does he seem to really want to. Enjoyed this book and want to read more from this author and series.
3.5**** stars. Working for Reed Security, Rocco quietly lives with his toddler daughter. Along comes Brooke who kidnaps him at a gas station after assaulting her ex. He goes along with it likes it’s a game. That turned out to be a big mistake and is going to complicate his orderly life. It was an enjoyable and fun read but I didn’t find it quite as suspenseful or intriguing as her previous books. It also catches up with the other members’ lives and crop of future babies on the way.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
Who are Brooke & Gary? What is happening in each of their lives? When Brooke shows up at the house, what happens had me laughing. How does Rocco meet Brooke? What happens when Brooke is placed on house arrest? Who is her best friend? How does that play into this? This was so full of unexpected twists and turns because of Brooke that I spent most of my time grinning through the book. I cannot wait to see what happens next in Coop’s book.

Laughed so hard I cried! Debra @ Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
This is the first of this series and this author that I have read. It is recommended by the author that you read the other 20 books in the series first and I do understand why, however, I enjoyed this book so much even though I had not read the previous.
It had a big case of the hysterical for me in so many ways. It had a whole lot of WTF moments and the action was big! It also made me feel like hugging all the big alpha men because of what they have been through but also due to them being so clueless sometimes.
The women in this series are so obviously in chares it is beyond funny. It made me want to read the other books in the series so much to see if they have half the funny, sexy and alpha filled moments as Rocco does.
Kudos to our author!
Rocco and Brooke
Bring twice the usual tissue count. You’ll need them from laughing so hard so often when you aren’t crying because of the touching or scary sad parts.
Thanks to Knight’s IT skills and abusive monitoring actions, everyone knows everything or at least all those he wantsthem to know.
Brooke doesn’t have successful relationships. There is always something wrong with the guy. You know, like his hair is too long or maybe too short. Those kinds of things. She knows it just isn’t gonna work. How she ended up with Rocco leaves her no choice in the situation, which will be explained in the book, not a spoiler here.
When she was “committed” to a lengthy stay with Rocco, she didn’t realize he had a toddler daughter who is the love of his life. Brooke doesn’t do kids. She better learn pretty fast.
The confabs with the guys are hilarious. None of them should be with any of their women considering what they would and did do to capture and keep the one for eadc of them. The women are just as funny. Wait till you see what Ice’s wife provides for dinner at his demands to prove his alpha control. (just a hint: you’ll need a couple of those tissues here)
Brooke doesn’t like kids she says. His daughter is the delight of his life. This is gonna be a problem. Rocco gets hurt on a mission. How will they work it out or will they work it out?
The book is one of those you just can’t wait to finish and wish there was more when it is done. The characters are all amazing. Their teamwork extends on and off the jobs assigned. The series is wonderful, however, it is not necessary to have read it to enjoy each book/romance alone. There is plenty of steam. This may not be your typical Security Firm. I still strongly recommend it to everyone.
Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
Rocco has rules – rules that he uses to keep himself not getting attached to women.
Brooke had decided to finally move in with Gary, but what she finds out on the day she moves in, isn’t quite what she expected.
Rocco can’t believe the woman that snuck in his truck, she was a knockout, focusing he finds she trying to get away from her cheating ex, deciding to ‘kidnap’ him to get away. Having had enough Rocco can’t take it anymore and lets her know enough talking, and he can see she wants him just as much but knew for one night he could deal with her crazy.
Brooke was just trying to get away from her crazy ex and didn’t expect Rocco, Rocco likes how Brooke isn’t scared and has an innocence about her, what he doesn’t realise if she’s the woman that is going to take his rules and destroy them.
This series just gets better, look forward to the next one…
Having read all the books to date, you can either read them alone or want to know more about each of the other characters and trust me you will want to. I started on the first in the series and I can’t stop, I look forward to each of their stories and the future of Reed Security. The author draws you in from the start, you don’t know what each book will entail but they all share the same feelings and/or thoughts we have with the connects we make in our lives. Through it all, no matter what you’ll feel like you’re a part of the book, you’ll feel the same things or understand them. If you’re anything like me, I have a little bit of all them in me. I truly suggest you read each one from the start of the series and the men and women within it. I started with Sinner and went on from there. You can’t just read one and move on to another book, oh no, you need to read the next one and the one after that, so on as you find out all the little bits of each character you begin to see the whole story of the series and those behind it. Each character brings their own bit to and and you want to know more. Don’t forget to read the series For the Love of a Good Woman with the other men involved in the series. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. This is a series that’s very intense you can relate to it at some point in your life, the trials and tribulations that they go through, is something either you or someone you know has. I’ve been totally pulled in by the author and you will be to. Rocco has his ways and leave it to a female other than his daughter to have him change his ways. Sometimes things happen for a reason and they put us where we need to be.

Wow, this book had me laughing so hard throughout the book. From beginning to end it had you shaking your head but also intrigued for more.
I loved Rocco and Brooke together, they may of been thrown together due to circumstances. But they didn’t give in. They tried to fight feelings but they always won out.
This book was so fun and amazing. I can’t wait for more.
This is a fantastic story which is well written and filled with witty banter, humour, and an entertaining read.
This story takes you on an action-packed adventure that is filled with suspense, emotion and some humour.
Loved it and can’t wait for the next book.

Where to even begin! Brooke was awesome! I really identified a lot to her in my younger days. I felt the same way about kids! Her reactions were so honest. I also love that she is a “sweat the small stuff” kinda person. She is not at all the typical female lead character in a story. She doesn’t follow any set ways of how you expect a character to behave. She is completely unique! She is the kind of character that is truly honest. She tells everyone exactly how it is and doesn’t put on any airs. Of course at the end I was screaming at her just to do this ONE thing for Rocco and Evie. But I truly love her attitude of “this is me, take it or leave it”.
Rocco really surprised me. I thought he might be a little too rigid of a character to really relate to in any true way. I found him not only relatable but totally endearing. His way with Evie is obviously captivating but his true colors that come out is what really sell him to me as a character. He is the epitome of teddy bear! Big and sweet. You think at the beginning he is going to be all about his “rules” but when you uncover his deeper side you completely fall in love with him! He is such a strong character and that is necessary to match how big a character Brooke is.
All of the banter between the guys is, yet again, PRICELESS! But the interaction with Claire had me rolling! The whole hug thing was SO TRUE! And the way Claire is with her word vomit is hilarious.
This book had me hooked on these two from start to finish. I really can’t wait to see how their relationship evolves through the rest of the series!
