I know who I am—I’m a one-percenter. I’m a bottom feeder of society; at least that’s what I’m told. Sure, I’ve made some mistakes but I’ve paid for them. I’m free and ready to prove that I’m not who everyone thought I was. I want things I never thought were possible until now—until her. Vivian Ward is my salvation and I won’t let her go.
Cillian James walked into my life and turned my boring … boring little world on its ass. Everyone deserves a second chance to make things right and God, I want to be his. I know who he is; who everyone claims him to be but he’s not a killer. They might have given him the nickname “Kill” but those assholes don’t know him like I do. He’s so much more than what they’ve made him.
RoadKill is the first book of the Savage Hell MC Series by K.L. Ramsey. This series is a spin-off from Savage Heat (Royal Bastards MC Book 1).

This story is twisted, full of action and tells a story of second chances at a good life for two people who have had some rough patches.
Cillian was set up and used as an example when he was a young man. Now he has done his time and is ready to live a full life. The only trouble is that he’s limited on finding someone to give him a chance since he is an ex-con. His luck changes when he decides to stop into the little diner for a cup of coffee and he meets Vivian.
Vivian has been working hard to make ends meet since she inherited the diner from her grandmother. She struggles to keep employees who are willing to work and show up to work. She has trouble finding reliable employees and works hard to keep her diner opened and not have to break her back to keep it going. She is lonely and wants a family of her own, but she doesn’t seem to have any luck in finding anyone to share her life with.
I really liked Cillian and Vivian’s story. Cillian has some hurdles to overcome and he needs to find his confidence and overcome his self-doubt as well as find a way to move on with his life and find his path. He has a dream but he has to find his way to make his dream come true and when he finds a way to pay back Savage for all he has done for him, he may give up on that dream and he’ll put his life on the line to save those that he loves. I give this story a 5-star review and I look forward to more in the Savage Hell MC series. The characters are strong, entertaining, and enjoyable to read.
I absolutely love this story. Cillian and Vivian are wonderful characters. Their journey together is adventurous. I’m happy to have characters from Savage Heat in here. I absolutely recommend you read the clip from the next book. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I absolutely recommend this book.
This is a spin-off from Savage Hell in the Royal Bastards series but you don’t need to read that one to enjoy this one. I found it included characters from that book but it served to provide some background. Cillian is trying to move on from a mistake when he meets Viv. They weren’t looking for each other but you can sense this is their time. She sees the real him and he helps her overcome her issues. It’s exciting, sexy, with some MC danger thrown in.
I absolutely loved this story and what a great start to a new series. I was happy to catch up with Dallas, Savage, and Bowie. I loved Cillian and Vivian, they are such amazing characters and had such great chemistry. It’s wonderfully written, flowed well from page to page, and the storyline is brilliant. I totally recommend this book and it’s an absolute must read.
This was a great start to a new series.
I loved catching up with Savage,Bowie and Dallas. I thought it was great that they had sucj a big part in this story… kinda like a part 2.
Cillian (Kill) and Viv were great together. The chemistry was there right from the start.
Loved the twists and turns in the plot and the rivalry beyween the MC gangs.
Looking forward to Repos story next.
This wonderful book definitely kept me busy. I didn’t want to even put it down at the end of the day..I love how you intertwined the characters from your Royal Bastard book it definitely makes a great read. The HEA was awesome and I can’t wait for more of the characters to get their own story. Great job as usual K. L. Ramsey K.L. Ramsey .
I just knew this was going to be a good start to a new series, Cillian ‘Kill’ James is out of prison and rather than rely on Savage, is looking for work, when he bumps into Vivian Ward the owner of a diner, who instantly gives him a chance by offering him work and a spare room …… they never make it to a spare room, it’s insta lust. Things are good for a while until Savage’s daughter is kidnapped by the Dragons. Now part of his parole is that he cannot mix with ex cons or club members, but this is different for him, this is family and he needs to help.
There is more to this, but i would be spoiling it for readers, so just go grab a copy, i definitely recommend it.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
Roadkill was a great start to a new series and a great catch up on Savage, Bowie and Dallas.
Cillian James has had a long 10 years. After Savage wouldn’t let him prospect for Savage Hell MC he decided to join Dragons MC which ended him in a huge mess. A 10 year mess to be exact. After coming home he meets Vivian Ward after going into her diner for lunch. He gets more than lunch while he’s there. She hires him as a cook and provides him with a place to live. Soon they find they’re a lot more than employer and employee but it don’t take long and trouble comes knocking. The Dragons manage to create chaos again with their trafficking operation. Cillian and the Savage Hell have to figure out how to take care of the problem and get one of their own back safely. Vivian and Cillian have a long road ahead of them but together they can conquer anything.
First, the typos and flat out errors were plentiful. Things like using routing instead of rooting. Then, this guy is out of prison 2 months and everything that could happen starts happening. Pregnancy, obligatory engagement, parole issues, human trafficking! That was when I finally went, “Okay. That’s it. I’m done.”
Awesome MC Ride. This is a spinoff from Ms. Ramsey’s Royal Bastard book, Savage Heat (you don’t have to read Savage Heat first but I highly recommend it as the characters do overlap). We first met Cillian in S.H. He was a young boy taken under the Prez’s wing as a favor to Cillian’s father. At that time Cillian was a wild young man who got into some trouble with the law. He was made an example of and sent to prison on a trumped up charge and spent years behind bars. Roadkill starts as Cillian is released. He is now an adult with a level head and wants nothing more than to prove to himself and Savage (the club prez) that he’s changed.
Cillian is out of prison and needs two things, a place to live and a job. But finding a job when you’re a convicted felon isn’t easy. That is until he stops in a local diner and meets Vivian, the owner who is a sassy funny spitfire who just so happens to believe in second chances. She not only gives Cillian a job but also rents him a room in her home. Well dangling a sexy, curvy woman in front of a man who’s been in prison for 10 years might not be the best idea she’s ever had but somehow it just seems right, for both of them. Vivian sees a side to Cillian that most people don’t see – but what happens when trouble comes calling and Cillian has to step up for his Savage MC brothers, which is a total violation of his parole? Will Vivian understand that side of Cillian? Can he do what he must and not lose the woman he loves?
The book is a whirlwind of action, romance and suspense. Highly Recommend grabbing up both Savage Heat and Roadkill; You won’t regret it. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.
Vivian literally crashed into Cillian’s life. She gave him a home and a job and he gave her a love she had never known. Their unique instalove story had sparks flying while they dodged bullets from a known enemy. This was a fast paced entertaining read. I enjoyed the character crossover from the Savage Heat series.
