What’s worse than losing everything? Try driving a phallic-shaped RV across the country with a coworker you hate.Copywriter Callie Murphy has a bad attitude, a vicious tongue, and a serious aversion to Shimura Advertising’s resident manwhore, Walker Rhodes. Know where he can stick his good looks and Southern charm? She can think of a few creative places. Avoiding him wouldn’t be a problem, except … Avoiding him wouldn’t be a problem, except her boss threatens to fire her if she doesn’t go along with him on their RV client’s cross-country tour.
Walker is sick of his job, tired of women, and in a big old creative rut. The upcoming client road trip is just what he needs to shake things up and rediscover his lost passion. But his plans go south when his partner drops out at the last minute, and Callie, the foul-mouthed tiny terror, takes her place. Unless he can find a way to thaw his icy coworker, he’s looking at two months of pure hell.
On the road, they experience one hilarious misadventure after another and soon find themselves on a life-changing journey. But when their paths veer off in different directions, will they hit a dead end?

This book was hilarious. They had so many adventures were I laughed so hard I snorted. Loved this book. It’s a must read!
It is the trippiest (no pun intended) romantic comedy for the year for me. Callie and Walker with their veritable snarky dialogues going on a road trip in an old fashioned RV across the country will have you in stitches. Callie is in one word a bitch, while Walker is definitely playing the token good looking co-worker who appears to be sleeping with anyone in skirts. But alas first impressions are definitely misleading and the road trip to hell for these two suddenly turns into one trip that turns life around for them. And before you think its all sweetness and light and uplifting romance think again, for its still trippy, Callie is still bitchy and Walker is still being clueless while the attraction sizzles, burns and combusts! It has all my favorite elements in rom com and its a worthwhile read for anyone. I hear there might be more, can’t wait for the next one!
The smut parts: eh, they weren’t my favorite part. But overall the storyline and odd experiences were the best! Would definitely recommend this book:)
Road-Tripped
Nicole did a fantastic job creating the characters in this not so much friends to lovers story!
Callie and Walker work together at the same advertising agency. The company has been noticing a downward trend in their new referrals, and overall standing in the community. They need the next big idea!
Callie works hard, keeps to herself, is hysterically witty and full of endless one liners, freely voices her opinion whether asked or not and has certainly formed an opinion on her co worker Walker. She knows without a doubt that he is a man whore! She definitely will be steering clear of him and his charm. She wants no part of that relationship disaster.
Walker he is stuck in a rut. Working at the agency has him feeling stagnate. He wants to explore his creativity in the photography world and once again do something that he loves ! He has become a social butterfly at the office to make it more tolerable to be there. He is handsome so the women love him , he is athletic so the men admire him but he is still not loving this job! Their is only one person in the office that seems immune to his wit and charm …Callie. She is the quintessential fun- sucker ! You google fun-sucker and her pic pops up..lol! The agency feels that they have come up with a fabulous marketing idea. Place two employees in an RV and have them travel cross country documenting their adventures! Well you guessed it! The social butterfly/man whore and the fun- sucker are the lucky two!
I absolutely loved their back and forth witty sexually charged banter. These characters soon reveal that they have many layers and it begins to discover that maybe they could be friends and hey they even might work well together!
Loved it~

Callie, a potty mouth copywriter who works in New York at an ad agency run by her friend, is paired off to work on a RV touring promotion with Walker, a charming Southern man who is an art director at the company. He also happens to be the company man-whore and from their first meeting things go from bad to worse. They can’t stand each other but due to circumstances beyond their control they have to spend 2 months together on this road trip. This story is rude full of bad language and absolutely bloody hilarious!
To say I loved it would be an understatement. Every situation they found themselves in on the road trip had me laughing out loud. I didn’t just laugh, I had full on laughing fits to the point my husband was wondering what I was reading while he was in the other room. The one liners and inner dialogue were just brilliant, just as much as the emotional ups and downs were.
This was my kind of book, funny, sexy and smart with a brilliantly thought out travelling story and characters that felt real. Did I mention this book was funny? I highly recommend this and actually did to my circle of friends the day I finished reading it. I look forward going over the best bits with my friends now.
I would normally rate the books I review out of 10 but I can’t with this book. It wouldn’t be enough.
I give it a solid 20. Well worth the kindle or paper you read this on.
I also give it 3 out of 3 flames for heat

Funny and packs an emotional punch. Callie and Walker were believable, likable characters written with depth and heartfelt realism. The dialog is witty and will have you laughing out loud. Nicolle Archer is a very talented author. A must read!
I loved this book. Road trip romances are a favourite of mine and this one was just the type of book I enjoy. An awesome road trip filled with some funny adventures balanced with emotion and romance.
I enjoyed this book a lot! Callie who has a bad attitude towards life and love is pared with Walker to go on an 8 week road trip in a mobile home as they both work in an ad company. Callie thinks that Walker is a playboy who sleeps with every woman in sight has made sure that Walker will not find her to be a new conquest. As they travel the country they learn more about each other …….will these truths bring them closer or split them even further apart??
Holy sh-poo that was hilarious!! I can not believe that Road-Tripped is Nicole’s debut book. It is a standalone but there will be more to the series with new couples. Yay!!! This is the story of how a road-trip in a silver dildo can change two lives…
Callie made a fresh start in New York working for her stoner friend Skip’s Ad Agency as a copywriter. It’s been three months since she left Chicago and since then she has been a different person. It’s not all bad but she has lost her passion for life, her sense of humor, sense of style, and her laid-back attitude. It’s like she is in mourning. She knows she hasn’t been herself lately but it’s the only way to cope. To show the world that she doesn’t give a shit what they think. Especially the office manslut, Walker Rhodes. She sees how the women flock to him. Worship him. And she is doing the opposite – avoiding him like the plague. She doesn’t want to fall into the trap of charming ways. She only has so much self-control. Then she gets hit with the fact that she has to go on a two-month RV road-trip with him if she wants to keep her job. Well…it’s a good thing, she is not his type, right?
Walker can’t wait to hit the road. He needs a break from his job. The women. Even New York City. His real passion is photography and he is hoping that this trip will help bring back his inspiration. The one he lost when he starting working in advertising. When the opportunity came up that he was going to be traveling the country with his friend/coworker and taking photos he was on cloud 9. When that friend had to cancel on him so now he was going with Callie, the tough little pixie that scared the shit out of him, he knew he was walking into hell. And staying there for two months. He needs a plan to make the ice queen melt if this is going to work.
Walker and Callie don’t exactly start off as friends when they start their journey. She thinks he is a manslut that isn’t going to be taking this RV tour seriously. And he thinks she is one angry chick that just might cut off his balls in his sleep. But what shocks him is that her feisty attitude is one big turn-on to him. He isn’t used to a woman like her. A woman that looks amazing in boy t-shirts and even better in boy shorts. He doesn’t understand why she is hiding her beautiful body but he is on a mission to find out who hurt her. He sees it in her eyes. She wants to laugh. She wants to let loose. And he wants to give that to her. He wants to show her what he sees. A beautiful, passionate, hilarious, and intelligent woman that he wants more than anything.
Callie doesn’t understand what is going on between her and Walker. She feels like herself around him but doesn’t want to get attached. She doesn’t want to be hurt by another man that will leave her when he is bored with her. And Walker will do that after he gets off this RV. After one night of amazing sex, they agreed to “no-strings” but is that possible? Is it possible to walk away from the one man that she wants all the strings with but can’t? He doesn’t even know if he will be living in NY after this trip. She loves his passion, charm, and intelligence but is that enough to chance another heartbreak? She doesn’t know since he might not even want to see her again.
I loved this story. I mean…how can I not? There is one sassy pixie, a passionate man with a camera, a bat-shit crazy grandma, and all types of crazies on the road. The characters were so much fun to the point of nutty. Callie is bitchy at times but when she lets go, it’s amazing to witness. She pissed me off as well but I understood why. I will just say she is a runner. Then there is Walker. Damn…he is one charming, funny, and sexy man in some hot as hell black-rimmed glasses. Together they are a match that nobody saw coming. Except for one loony granny.
Overall…if you want to laugh your ass off, go on a crazy journey, and find dirty-talk sexy…this book is for you! It’s definitely a “don’t just judge a book by its cover” type of relationship journey. Btw…I love this book cover and can’t wait for the next one! Road-Tripped was about discovering themselves but I have a feeling Head-Tripped is going to be more intense. And funny.
P.S. I his nickname for her!
Quotes:
“I know it’s difficult, Bluebell, but try to focus on something besides my dick.”
“It’s hard when it’s over six feet and spewing bullshit.”
“It’s hard and spewing all right.”
“I keep my dirty words in the sheets, not on the streets.”
“Nice to meet you, Walker. Enjoy the new masturbation material.”
Loved Walker and Callie. This book gave me some laughs and a few tears. It was a great story and filled with angst . I did get mad a Walker a few times but he more than made up for it . Loved every second of it
Callie and Walker are two co-workers conned into taking a road trip together in an rv and record their experiences. Their adventures and some of the situations they found themselves in were hilarious. I loved their hot chemistry and the dual point of views. The plot and storyline were well thought out. I really enjoyed their story.
I really love when the female character is strong. In this case she is broken yet strong. She doesn’t compromise. She is likeable, smart, and relatable. And the male character is believable. Overall a wonderful story with laugh out loud moments.
When I picked this one to start reading I had no idea just how funny it was going to be. The humor in it reminds me a lot of the books in the Hudson Valley series by Alice Clayton. Both books have things that happen that are just so realistic! Things that are real and very embarrassing. However, Road-Tripped takes the embarrassing moments and pushes them one step further, not in an unrealistic way, but in a way that you know someone out there has had a similar experience, and it is almost so horrible that it is unbelievable. And while I have never had these specific mortifying experiences, I have had some that have been pretty comparable when I think about the empathy created for the characters as I read about what was happening to them.
The characters themselves were also very believable. And the misunderstandings and preconceptions each of them had about each other that led to many of the humorous moments I hinted at above were again very realistic. They’re the kinds of things I know that I have probably thought about people from what I’ve heard or seen of them before I ever get a chance to meet them and get to know them. Okay, let me give you a little run-down of the story itself, then I’ll gush over it a little more.
There are two main characters and we get the story from both of their viewpoints. Callie is working a new job for a friend, who helped her out when her life kind of went down the toilet. Only she isn’t really as grateful for it as you’d think. She can’t stand most of the people she works with, especially given the way the office is run. And from people like my sister who actually work in a place where they do things like game tables and parties, I know that the environment is realistic. Callie is grumpy, likes to swear, and cannot stand the guy that she thinks is nothing but the office manwhore, the guy that all the women want so sleep with, including the woman who is kind of her worst enemy in the office.
The other main character is Walker, said “manwhore” according to Callie. Sure, he’s friendly, and very attractive, and all that, but he’s also very unhappy in his job as art director. He loves photography, and really wants to do something more like that. He has been assigned to drive across country in an RV that is one of their current client’s product. At first he is going to get to go with a friend of his in the office. But she drops out at the last minute, and their boss chooses Callie, the one woman who seems to be completely immune to his charms, as well as seems to hate him, to be the replacement.
As you can guess, the road trip is full of many fun experiences. They stop at a lot of famous landmarks, as well as dropping in on family and friends along the way. The end up camping at a nudist colony by accident. They get caught in a hurricane. And Callie might get a little high with Walker’s grandmother, when they stop by for a visit. Both of them will learn that the other is not quite who they think they are from their first impressions. Both of them will have to work on the attraction between them, they may even give into it, and of course that will create its own issues for the trip. As well as many, many hilarious moments and some very sexy ones as well!
This was one of those books that I had to be careful about reading in public, because it literally made me laugh out loud. Not just a quiet chuckle, or a giggle, but gut-busting, can’t hold it in guffaws at times! And you know what was bad? I was reading it on my laptop, at work sometimes, and oh my gosh was it so hard to hold that in! So hard that I couldn’t. I got some strange looks the days I read it at work, I work in a high school library, so yeah.
The cussing, while quite prevalent throughout the whole book, was also part of the hilariousness of the book. It was so over the top at times, but that just made it all the more hilarious. Have I used the word hilarious enough in this review? Walker wasn’t much of a cusser, and so several times he would almost say shit, but he’d stop himself, and change it to poo, so it was like he said sh..poo. And Callie called him on it every time, asking him if he said shampoo. She got a kick out of it, and so did I as I read it.
And I have to pull out the one thing that was so funny, although I’m sure is probably considered kind of offensive, but it is funny because it’s true, because I’ve actually seen something exactly like it at a Chinese restaurant. On the menu, for drinks, it said: “Classic Cock, Cock Zero, Diet Cock, Cherry Cock.” I’ve seen that before. And it makes me laugh like a middle schooler every single time!
If you aren’t offended by a lot of swear words, or sexy scenes, or hilarious naked embarrassing scenes, then this is the next book you need to read.
Buckle Up!
Callie Murphy and Walker Rhoades are two co-workers who don’t really like each other and have been paired to travel across the country in a RoadStream RV (aka the silver dildo) for the ad agency they work at. Callie is to blog about their adventure while Walker takes photographs. Sounds pretty easy right? Let the adventures begin!
Buckle up and follow Callie and Walker over the next two months of their lives filled with adventures – friendship – romance. Lots of snarky batter, hilarious adventures, heartbreak, tears, laughter, anger, tension and sex fill the pages and will keep you glued to your seat to see what happens between these two. It is a quick fun read with characters that you will be rooting for from start to finish.
Loved the playlist that went with each chapter! A great touch to the story and characters.
I highly recommend this romantic comedy! I promise you won’t be disappointed.
This book hooked me from page one! The author has the amazing ability to make her characters real and approachable. A range of emotions are felt in this read. Some poignant moments where you felt sad or angry, I also laughed hysterically at this couple and their trip to love.
Great characters and an original storyline, looking forward to reading more!
Relies too much on gimmicks and quotes by others to truly let you get into the story. Cheesy humor was a distraction from the characters and their rocky relationship.
This book is the best romantic, comedy I have possibly ever read. The storyline was wonderful & I laughed out loud so much I had to leave the room before waking my husband with my snorts & giggles I wish they would make it into a movie so that non-readers could enjoy it as well.
Road Tripped in the first novel in the Ad Agency series by Nicole Archer. This is my first novel by this author.
In order to save the as agency she works for, Callie Murphy has to be with the one guy she doesn’t like in an RV for two months.
To help get him passionate about his job again, Walker an is art director who has to travel for two months in an RV.
When the two of them get stuck together, will the two of them be able to work together or will Callie have a bad attitude the whole time?
Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed this novel. It was a such an easy flowing and funny novel that I recommend it to anyone who wants a read something funny. With the plot and the character development, I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Road-Tripped is the story of Walker and Callie and the best road trip ever! I loved this story!! The banter between the two of these are priceless! Shampoo head, alligator nests, sailor mouth and the best southern slang all work together to tell a laugh out loud story. The Dorothy Parker sayings were a perfect touch. The places that they went to and traveling the world by RV make me want to pack up and go. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!
