Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Tess Thompson has made a believer out of me. The major premises of this book are pretty standard, but it is enhanced by some very good writing which makes it rise above the standard. I enjoyed everything I read here, even the things that were borderline unbelievable. To find myself with tears in my eyes at the end of the epilogue was a surprise …
Lovely story
Lee left years ago to try to make something of herself, now she is back to fix all the bad that happened in her life.
A good heartwarming story, well written, good characters, sweet friendship and romance.
Love love love this author and the story.
I had read book 2 some time ago and instantly became a fan of Ms Thompsons writing. This series can be read as individual standalones but take it from me, read together makes them even better. Each book is as terrific as the one before it
River Song is a story about returning home. Lee returns to River Valley to hide from a problem her husband created before he died. I love how Tess writes Lee’s views of the town as a child, and how being an adult changes Lee’s perspective on her home town. Lee and Tommy’s love story is tole but what stood out to me more was how lee becomes a …
Very well written. Definitely worth reading.
What do all the characters on Riversong? They were all given a second chance to be happy.
The unexpected death of Lee’s husband sends her running back to her hometown. She is forced to rebuild her life. After only a few weeks she must rely on those she now considers family to save her life!
Tess Thompson’s characters feel like friends. Her books are great reads.
This was a very good book, the only bad thing is it was a very fast read! I could not put it down. I started it yesterday afternoon and finished it this morning. good story line 🙂
I was hooked on this book from the first page. Tess has a way of creating characters that you immediate become attached to and I’m so glad this is a series so I can read more about the “family” that is Riversong.
Riversong by Tess Thompson is the first book in the River Valley Series.
It starts out after Lee’s husband has committed suicide leaving Lee alone, pregnant and in debt for a million dollar loan that she had no idea he had borrowed from a loan shark. Desperate and scared Lee escapes to her old hometown to try to fix up her old family home to sell …
Tess Thompson did an excellent job of making her characters three-dimensional. They stand up on the pages and make her readers feel as if they are right there, in the story.
What do you do when you have lost everything and have some very unsavory characters after you because of something someone else did? You return home and that’s exactly what Lee does. Heartbroken, scared and alone, Lee decides to refurbish her mother’s home and while she’s at it she better get a job too. Lee’s hometown is also looking to refurbish …
