Nora Roberts never disappoints. I know I can always count on her to give a story that draws me in and keeps me involved until the very end. In River’s End, the story starts with a Hollywood murder witnessed by a child. As the readers follows the child, Livvy, into adulthood, they enter a world of secrets, fears, nightmares, family, and love. Writer Noah helps uncover the secrets and hidden memories as he explores the murder for a true crime book he feels compelled to write.
The characters are well developed and the setting description makes you want to visit Washington state! There are even some unexpected plot twists along the way. I got so engrossed in the story I couldn’t put it down towards the end. I enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it to others!
I read this a long time ago but I haven’t forgotten Noah. Great book!
Thoroughly enjoyed reading River’s End! Nora Roberts always delivers books with great characters, original stories and writing that is pure entertainment every time. Highly recommend.
You can always rely on Nora Roberts for gripping stories and realistic characters. Being an English “townie”, I love the descriptions of the Great American Outdoors – easy to imagine being there, even if you don’t want to come across a cougar or a bear. Loved this story. Olivia and Noah are a fabulous combination. I was rooting for them throughout. Doesn’t disappoint.
Another wonderful book by Ms Roberts. I love her stories and her writing is amazing.
Nora Roberts’ is one of my go-to authors. I enjoy the up close and personal style of her writing. A bit of intrigue, a bit of romance … always a good combo. This one did not disappoint.
This one had me. I thought I had the villain … and I was wrong. Many twists and turns but very descriptive. The research into the area and the occupations of the characters is thorough. It is evidenced by the characters knowledge of his or her role. This takes place in the NW in Washington State. It will keep you on your toes. Love Nora Roberts and J.D. Robb.
Read this a while ago. Some books you just don’t forget. Totally spellbinding & fabulous
Read this a while a go. Incredible
Can’t beat a Nora Roberts’ book
Couldn’t put this one down.
Nora Robert’s books are always good. This one occasionally got mired in forest description although I definitely learned. Loved the major characters.
Love to read Nora Roberts and this book didn’t let me down. I will read it again just for the fun of it.
The beginning was interesting but the way the story unfolded was not. This may be because of the over embellishement and repetitive language of some of the secondary characters. I honestly knew the end not to far into it. Yes, this is romance fiction and the genre follows a specific and predictable pattern, however the twists and turns added very little to the story. Die-hard Nora Roberts fans will probably disagree with most of what I am saying. I’ve read many of her books over many years and this was the least worth reading.
NOT HER BEST
One of the best Nora Roberts novels I’ve read. It kept me turning the page!
Bravo!
