Always enjoy this author!
A nice romantic story about two police officers in the country. Nothing scary.
I liked the small town of Haven Point and its friendly, but nosy, residents. I particularly liked Wyn who came home after the deaths of her twin and father, to carry on the family tradition of being a police officer. Being in love with her boss who was the Police Chief, made the move back home hard on her. Not only was he her boss but her brother’s best friend and they have known each other all their lives. She had been hiding her feelings for him for years. Too bad because he felt the same about her but wouldn’t admit to his feelings either. Being the Police Chief made it impossible for him to tell her how he felt because she was one of his officers. On top of that, Wyn suspected her new neighbour was hiding something.
While this was clearly a romance, the plot was very light. There were some suspenseful moments but it was mainly about two people who wouldn’t admit to their feelings through most of the book. Even though it was slow to start, it did pick up about half-way through.
