Another sweet and steamy quick read. This one comes with a possibility of a fated meeting as truths surface. I enjoyed it and the extended epilogue. I enjoyed this as part of the Big Hot Alphas box set 4-6.
River sets his eyes on Leah and knew that she was the one. By the same token she wasn’t looking for love. But a certain little lady has other ideas. This is an adorable insta love. Worth the read.

I loved reading the book about Leah and River, their mutual love for Anna and the beach. It has everything a short story needs. A little bit of fun and a lot of love and sexiness. I love them as a couple and single, two wonderful people.

Leah’s daughter disappears, chasing her ball on the beach. No problem, though – Anna is safe with River. He knows what he needs in his life – a good woman. She’s a single-mom who owns a bakery. There’s no man in her life – she used a sperm bank to conceive Anna. Could River be her father? Is he game for a ready-made family? This is a really sweet story, nothing over the top about it. Two really nice people meet and begin their journey to a very happy ending.

This Book 6 in the Big Hot Alphas Series is a very well-written fire fighter book with great characters and a short, hot story. These characters have great chemistry and are well-developed with depth and strength. A must read steamy short story of a forbidden romance that started in high school. This is a perfect read for when you do not have much time to read.

What a gem of a short story!! I really loved both River and Leah and their sweet love story. Every scene felt so real! From their first meeting when the beachball little Anna had been playing with got away from her and whacks River in the head and Leah comes running along the beach looking and calling for her daughter, to his impromptu decision to try to get to know Leah and Anna better when he spies them a short while later sitting in a cafe, to every scene that follows from there on out. I could see this happening IRL. So if you are looking for a quick read that is spicy but still heart-meltingly sweet, this is the book you should read!!

This is a super sweet short story with a kick of heat.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
River has given up on finding a forever love, until he helps a little girl on the beach and sees her mother.
Leah is OK with being a single mother, she picked this life for herself. Now she has a chance at true happiness with River when something from their past could change all that.

Meant to be
This was a wonderful story about River and Leah. He is an underwater welder that spends a lot of his spare time at the beach. And she is a single mother that owns and runs a bakery close to the beach.
River is on the beach when he helps out a little girl Anna, whose beach ball almost rolled into the ocean. When he asks her where her mother is, she starts to cry, fearing she’s lost. Her Mum Leah comes running towards her, so relieved that she found her. She was also incredibly thankful to River, having kept her daughter safe.
He thinks she’s the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, and is instantly attracted to her. He finds her eyes, freckle-smattered nose, and generous curves very appealing. Whilst she thanks him incessantly, he’s desperate to ask her out, and finally does. And so their courtship begins. It’s filled with sweet and beautiful moments and steamy passion that just seems like it’s meant to be. The three of them sound like a family already.
A couple of special surprise admissions from the both of them has all sorts of other possibilities swimming around too. Their meeting and getting together seems so incredibly serendipitous, and melted my heart. I definitely recommend this one!

A chance for love and family! This is about River and Leah. Leah is at the beach with her daughter Anna and River is there laying on his board when Anna’s plastic ball smacks him on the head. I love how Anna demands her ball back, but then starts crying as she realizes her mom is not around. Leah runs toward her as she has been looking for her as she turned her back to her for a minute. River immediately takes in Leah and just minutes ago was thinking he would be a lone for a while. Well Leah takes in River too and loves what she sees but has a daughter to think of first. River decides to go into the café that he spotted them walking into and decides to join them. The story goes on with their love affair. The question is not answered is who is Anna’s father? Was it fate that brought River the love of Leah and Anna?

This was a short but sweet story. River thinks he has everything he needs in his life, and it’s too late for him to meet someone now anyway. Then a little girl, Anna, almost loses her beach ball in the ocean, but River rescues it and then meets her mom, Leah. Leah owns a bakery. She believes that she has everything life can give her and doesn’t need a man to be happy.
Yet meeting each other lets them both feel what may be missing in their lives. Will they find that being alone is not the best way to find happiness and family? Will they discover a HEA after all?
Sweet read
What a sweet read! River knew it was going to take a special woman to snare and keep his attention. Leah was that woman. She was strong, independent and willing to do whatever it took to achieve her goals. Precious little Anna was testament to that fact.

..the sea is going to be the only woman in his life………….until he meets his angel on the beach
RIVER is the sixth book in the Big Hot Alphas series and is the sweet, sexy, romantic and deliciously hot story of River and Leah.
River is thirty-eight years old, has a degree in mechanical engineering and works as an underwater welder. But salt water runs in his veins as he cannot get enough of the water as he also surfs and owns a sailboat. The only thing that could take him away from the water would be the right woman but he has not found her yet, so for now “the sea is going to be the only woman in his life.”
Leah is a single mother to five/six year old Anna and a bakery shop owner, Boulangerie Macaron. Anna has no “father” because Leah decided to go the sperm bank route to have her. Based on her history of bad dates and worse relationships but wanting a family she made the decision to just do it alone and has been happy since.
One late afternoon at the beach River stays after doing some surfing with a friend. He relaxes and falls asleep only to be whacked in the head by something a while later. It turns out to be a beach ball that had gotten away from a little girl, who gives him a hard time as she wants it back from him. When he notices that there is no adult around he asks her where her parents are is informed she has no father but she just about breaks down when she cannot see her mother. Just on the cusp of it all melting down a woman comes running down the beach calling for the child. When River really looks at the woman he is floored and has his breath taken away as she is the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen. She introduces herself as Leah and thanks him several times. But he lets them walk away from him instead of asking to take her out. It seems he is more than a little rusty when it comes to women.
As River is packing up his truck for the day he is thinking about Leah when he looks up and notices she and Anna are in the shop by where his truck is parked. It may not be his type of bakery but he is going to knock the rust off and get to know Lean better.
I really loved this story and how organic and realistic both the story-line and the characters felt. Yep it is an insta-love short story but it is not OTT and had great details with a slower burn that when the fuse is lite it really explodes. The story is really well written and completely delightful to read. I recommend this book to other readers whether you are already a fan of Kate Hunt or would like to discover a new author to add to you list.
A chance meeting on the beach brings these two together. The sparks flying off of these two are scorching! I love the interaction between River and Leah and the fact that he is quite okay with her being a single mom and the possibility of being even more. This book made my heart happy.
I love that we get to read Leah’s story. We get a mention of her in Holt of how she decides to use a sperm donor to have a child. She loves Ana and then she meets River and sparks fly. They’re cute, sweet, and hot together. I also didn’t see that twist coming and it was the best.

Absolutely wonderful storyline between River and Leah. The characters blended so well together and enjoyed the fact that there was no judgement from either of them. I liked the message that was in the story, that family is not defined by blood relation, but rather who you choose to be the your family.

“The instant River lays his eyes on Leah, he knows she’s his destiny.” So good. Well written. This was a quick, and fun read. Awesome characters, with great chemistry. Sweet, steamy, romantic, and meant to be.

River and Leah are an insta-love relationship. I love how independent and assure Leah is and how good, loving and caring River is. Neither of them is afraid of their feelings and witnessing them building a family and a live together made this book a page-turner.

This book is *very* short, but it is cute and sweet! The plot moves along nicely, and the chemistry between characters developed wonderfully even though it was quick. I love how the h and H connected coincidentally years later, like by some twist of fate. If you like short, sweet reads that leave you smiling, then you will love this book.

When River found the perfect person for him, everything fell into place. Leah had doubts but his love is firm and true without a doubt. Must be fate
