From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry comes a small town, fake relationship romance.Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her twenty-seventh birthday. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.
Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.

Love love Riven Knight
I was excited to read Riven Knight and wanted some answers from Tin Gypsy and boy did it deliver.
I love how Devney writes suspense and crazyness and she doesn’t disappoint with the latest in the series.
Both Isaiah and Genevieve are dealing with their own issues and tragedies but they triumph in ways I honestly wasn’t expecting.
Tin Gypsy give you a bit of mystery at the end and Riven Knight slams you with answers I wasn’t even close to guessing correct on.
Please one click Riven Knight it is full of emotions, angst, suspense and just amazingness.
Love Devney’s words!
This is the 2nd book in this Tin Gypsy Series and each book is better the last and that’s saying a lot as Devney Perry’s writing is flawless, gripping and holds you captive with every word.
This one picks up pretty much straight off from the first book and the suspense as to who killed Genevieve’s mum and framed Draven is still front and centre. Add in that they are still trying to figure out who kidnapped her and Bryce too and they are on the defence waiting to see what is going to happen next.
There are so many twists and turns with this story. My heart broke quite a few times for Genevieve and Isaiah. They both have so much pain and heartache in their pasts, together they may actually start helping each other heal if they let the huge walls around them crumble.
Whilst I was cheering for Isaiah and Genevieve’s relationship to develop more I really did like the slow burn of the build up, it felt so real and they deserved so much more.
If your expecting and MC story this wont be what your expecting, whilst there is some MC action this is about the Tin Gypsy’s MC which has disbanded.
When I read the first book in the series my brain didn’t put it together that Isaiah was Kaine from her Lark Cove Series brother, he was one of my favourite characters from that series so it was lovely to see him and his family pop in during this book.
Can’t wait to see what Devney brings us next with this series and Stone Princess as I can’t wait to read more of Presley.
Needless to say, I’ve been super curious about Isaiah and Genevieve, especially after reading the teaser bit at the end of Gypsy King and holy cow!!! Riven Knight delivered all I was hoping for and then some! This was a well-formulated, slow burning romance, with pockets of suspense and deep emotions that sucked me in from the get-go! I’ll be on tender hooks waiting for Presley’s story to come out, but man! This book hangover will make the wait more than worthwhile!
Riven Knight by Devney Perry is the second book in her new Tin Gypsy series. Picking up shortly after the events at the end of book one, Gypsy King, we slowly get to learn about what happened between Genevieve and Isaiah up on the mountain the night of her & Bryce’s rescue, the reason for their impromptu wedding, and the history behind Isaiah’s dark past. The stress of the upcoming trial is weighing on everyone and they are trying to stay under the radar while desperately hunting for any evidence or clues to prove Draven’s innocence.
Emotional and captivating, there hasn’t been a book by Devney Perry that I haven’t devoured and loved. The Tin Gypsy series is a spin-off to both the Jamison Valley series and the Lark Cove series allowing the reader to still feel a connection to the previous series that we loved. Clifton Forge is my new favorite place to be and I cannot wait to read Presley’s story next in book three, Stone Princess. Enjoy!
Devney Perry knows how to pull on my heart strings!
Riven Knight is no different! She continues to take her books to the next level and this book is no exception. Isaiah is a complex character who you will fall in love with. Throw in Genevieve who has her own complex history and they are two characters you will become invested in.
Read Riven Knight you will be disappointed if you don’t!
EEP!! Genevieve and Isaiah both break my heart. Finding out what both of them have went through, the secrets of their hearts are tear worthy.
Watching the two of them learn what they need and what each other needs make your heart beat faster and just want to hug them both. The emotions that the author pulls out of you is amazing.
But will their secrets from the mountain pull them apart or help them in their struggle to be a couple?
I loved the suspense, the emotions, the secrets, oh my the secrets that come out! I cannot WAIT for the next book!
Can a marriage of convenience in a volatile and dangerous situation allow two people to let go of their respective pasts and build a real relationship and future, even though they come from two different worlds?
That’s the question that readers will be asking as they dive in to Devney Perry’s newest release in her Tin Gypsy series, Riven Knight. But while there are no easy answers for Genevieve Daylee and Isaiah Reynolds when it comes to the situation they find themselves in, what is clear is that the intertwining of their lives will either allow them to be protected and to move forward or they’ll lose what little hold they have on the present to the secrets and lies that haunt them both.
For Genevieve and Isaiah, the past is an albatross around their necks, even if it is for different reasons. Genevieve’s is due to her mother’s secrets – ones that always have a way of coming out, despite the fact that the person is no longer there, and Isaiah’s stem from his actions and reactions from a night that unequivocally altered who he is. And despite their differing backgrounds and present lifestyles, they’re thrown together and must figure out how to work through everything while keeping themselves alive as well.
Playing pretend, especially in the world in which Genevieve has to, is not something she ever saw herself doing, but when her reality is upended and her perception of her family skewed, it’s clear that that is her only choice, not just for herself but for the man who went to battle for her as well. And for that reason alone it makes sense why things are so jumbled up in her head, why she just can’t seem to assimilate what she thought with what she finds out as the book continues. There’s a lot for her to wade through, and even more for her to sort out, not only when it comes to her own life, but the life of the man who has somehow become her other half, for better and for worse.
Isaiah is trapped in an endless cycle of guilt and regret, and he just doesn’t know how to break free from it and his struggle to do so is expertly written, allowing readers to truly understand who this man is underneath all of the broodiness, all of the silence, and all of the dark shadows in his eyes.
It’s amazing how much Genevieve changes as a person because of the situations she finds herself in. At first, she seemed too demure…to soft spoken, but that changes throughout the course of the story and by the time Riven Knight reaches its last page, readers see a strong and confident woman who can hold her own in any situation, and in the biker world, those two attributes are mandatory in order to cope with the way life plays out.
A slow burn romance, especially in a biker world, is always an intriguing concept to me. The gritty, dark, and suspenseful environment, at times, doesn’t seem to understand the concept of slow and steady, but that’s exactly what happens between Genevieve and Isaiah, and while it’s due to a litany of reasons, it’s the correct call to make for them to build something that isn’t completely tarnished by the past and a sustainable relationship despite the complicated matters that must be dealt with for them to fully move forward.
I love the grittier side of Devney Perry’s writing. All of the attributes I’ve grown to respect and love are fleshed out even more in an atmosphere that allows for more dangerous and destructive situations, which means that Perry continues with her emotional and complex characters and scenes while also inviting readers into a harsher and more ‘anything goes’ environment, and she does so with precision and mastery.
4.5 Poison Apples
Devney Perry has quickly become one of my favorite authors!
Riven Knight is book 2 in the series, read book 1, trust me…
Isaiah & Genevieve are an unlikely match who may just work!
So many ways to describe this book. Mysterious, suspenseful, an unlikely love story!
Isaiah lives with guilt. Genevieve is mourning her mother’s death. These two are pushed into a marriage of convenience that may or may not remain fake. Both are protective of each other, attracted to each other. So much grit and feels…
Riven Knight is not your typical love story. If you loved Gypsy King, you’re going to devour this one. I CANNOT wait for Stone Princess!
5 Stars
Just Wow! This book is going to tug at your heartstrings while being full of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Isaiah has so many secrets that he doesn’t want to reveal to anyone. Genevieve is broken, she has lost her mother and her entire life is full of mystery and questions she can’t answer. I promise you that your heart will pound, it will break, and in the end you will have some answers and some more questions. I cannot wait for more from this amazing series!
Cara – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
Wow!! This book has me completely speechless. Riven Knight has set the bar so high for all other books this year. It’s a 6 star read that I never wanted to end. I have, without a doubt, found my new favorite Devney Perry book.
This is a marriage of connivence story that turned out to help two broken people find themselves again. It’s a story of love and forgiveness..even is that forgiveness is forgiving yourself.
Isaiah was so super swoon worthy. He’s quiet and so full of pain that it hurt sometimes to watch. Genevieve has had her life turned upside down is such a short amount of time.
I loved, loved this book. You will need to break out the tissues a time or two because I definitely got emotional. You’ll get a little closure concerning the murder concerning Genevieve’s mom. You also get a look at what’s to come in the series and I can’t wait!!
Gypsy King became one of my all-time favorite books last year and ever since I’ve been counting down the days until Riven Knight! Just like with the first book as soon as I started reading it there was no way that I was turning away from my kindle until the end. I loved this story so much!
Genevieve and Isaiah’s journey kept me on my toes throughout. There was so much more to these two than meets the eye. I felt for them and loved getting to connect with them more and more with each chapter.
Devney Perry has done it once again! This is becoming one of my favorite series!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
Riven Knight was a bittersweet read with breathtaking cover. The saying don’t judge a book by it’s cover… well it sure does not apply here. The cover alone made me want to read this and I was not in the least bit disappointed. Marriage of convenience and a celibate hero is what sealed the deal for me.
Genevieve has just tragically lost her mother and that ended up being the catalyst. She was put in terrible situation that ended impacting both her and Isaiah’s-whom she just met-lives. She is now married to a stranger and has to keep up a ruse that it was love at first sight around their families and friends. It’s difficult and nerve wrecking because Genevieve knows next to nothing about Isaiah and it seems like that isn’t going to change anytime soon because he is a closed book and doesn’t want to dive into his past. But the more time they spend together, she discovers how sweet and protective Isaiah is towards her and the people he cares about. Between her marriage feeling more real than fake as the days go on and hunting for the person who is out to hurt them, Genevieve also has to deal with the family she never knew anything about.
What I didn’t enjoy about this book was Dash’s treatment towards Genevieve. He was always so cold and basically ignored her. I get that he was upset because of her mother but his treatment went on for too long and was basically swept under the rug. He should have apologized more because he blamed her for her mother. She didn’t ask to be born and knew nothing of her mother’s choices and behavior. I wanted to hit him so many times.
Genevieve had to deal with so much in this book. having to deal with a father she knew nothing about and her discovering more and more of her mother’s secrets can completely wreck a girl but Isaiah ended up being her saving grace. She could lean on him and knew he would protect her from anything. Isaiah was a character that made you want to hug him and never let go. My heart fractured for this lost man who was in a world of hurt. He believed Genevieve was too good for him and he didn’t deserve her. Oh how wrong he was. She helped him heal and loved him unconditionally. They were beautiful together
I loved this book! Devney Perry blew me away with this angst-filled, slow-burning, marriage of convenience romance. Riven Knight, the second book in the Tin Gypsy series, took me on a wild ride filled with swoons, tears and heart pounding twists and turns. I didn’t want this story to end. Even with tear streaked cheeks and tired eyes, there was no way I was putting this book down. I am really enjoying this darker world Devney has created.
My heart broke for both Genevieve and Isaiah. Both had suffered major losses in their lives. The murder of Genevieve’s mother and her own kidnapping had left her with so many unanswered questions. To get answers, to get justice for her mother and to save the stranger who saved her life, she must stay in Clifton Forge, married to said stranger.
We first met Isaiah in Devney Perry’s previous Lark Cove series and from then on I’ve wanted his story, as heartbreaking as it was. This man carries a world of guilt on his shoulders. His self loathing was high and he felt he was undeserving of any happiness. Oh my heart! Although, he didn’t feel worthy of Genevieve, he’d agreed to marry her if it meant it kept them both safe.
I loved the way their relationship developed. Bound together by secrets and lies, I loved how they relied on each other. I lived for the slow burning sexual tension.
I hate to compare books but Riven Knight felt like a more complete novel in contrast to Gypsy King. It flowed easier and we definitely got the answers to the lingering questions left after reading Book 1. The first book felt like a set up for this book.
I can’t overstate how good Riven Knight was. All the suspense and intrigue. It’s a must read for sure. I can’t wait to read Stone Princess next. I just know Presley’s story is going to be just as good.
Riven Knight is a continuation in some ways of Gypsy King. The main couple is different but questions from GK remain and are answered in RK. You MUST read Gypsy King first. What I will say now is that these books are a departure from Devney Perry’s usual books. These are a bit grittier with more suspense and some dark aspects which are the exact things that make the reader realize what a magnificent storyteller Devney Perry is. While all are romance at heart, the differences between her previous work (Jamison Valley Series, Lark Cove Series, and Maysen Jar Series) includes the fresh theme of a FORMER MC. I personally have never read a former MC book or even heard of one until now. It does have some aspects which remain of the MC world but the heart of the book is not about a club but a mystery. The slow burn between Isaiah and Genevieve is awkward and sweet and frustrating and down right wonderful! You not only won’t be disappointed in this marriage of convenience couple, but you will appreciate their relationship and believe the progress. While there are at least 3 more books in the series, the rest will be stand alone with interconnected characters. You will have all the questions from Gypsy King answered here and Dash and Bryce play a very big supporting role in this book as well. Kudos to Devney Perry for not just sticking to the formula which has gained her so much success, but instead, spreading her wings to write outside her comfort zone and showing us what talented writer she truly is! (PS she still owes me tissue from The Birthday List and I really could have used it here!)
Riven Knight is the story of Isaiah and Genevieve. From the minute you start reading, you root for them. The words leave you longing to know what happened at that cabin and what happened to Genevieves mom…you need to know Isaiahs mysteries, and feel as “V” does…wondering. Devney weaves you through a beautiful story of twists and turns, never suspecting the unexpected…and unravels a mystery woven into a love story that leaves you cheering for them, families, lies, and the truth.
Once again, I am in awe of Devney Perry and her fabulous storytelling. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one! In Riven Knight, we get all the answers to the questions we were left with at the end of Gypsy King and the suspense kept me completely invested throughout the book. Isaiah and Genevieve’s romance was a delicious slow burn that started with a marriage of convenience and ended with something really special. I just loved it and can’t wait for more in the series!
THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING!!!!
Devney just wrote her best book yet, this story was everything I wanted and needed. I have been wanting and waiting for Isaiah’s story since I met him in ‘Tragic’ and let me just say, I was not disappointed. Isaiah like we met him in Tragic was lost and hurt, he is carrying a guild that makes him think that he doesn’t deserve. I wanted to hug him and protect him like no other. He thought he didn’t deserve love, happiness, nor a second change. He wasn’t expecting Genevieve to come into his life and turn it upside down.
Genevieve was looking for answers, after being dragged in a town filled with secrets and truths she isn’t ready to meet the one person who is locking himself away from everything. Genevieve is Isaiah are thrown into something neither was looking for. Genevieve was everything he needed, and more. I loved these two so much. Genevieve makes Isaiah feel like he is capable of second chance. I loved everything about these two.
This is truly a book you will love and read it until you finish it. This has to be my favorite Devney book yet!!!
Exceptional!
This is book 2 in the Tin Gypsies series and this installment affirms that the series is getting better!
After the ending in Gypsy King, I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.
Intense, complex and suspenseful, this read was full of surprises.
Besides the whodunnit, I couldn’t wait to discover what was in store with the unexpected connection between Genevieve and Isaiah.
This author does not disappoint in creating characters that flawlessly continue to evolve and develop.
What developed, was absolutely exceptional!
I couldn’t get enough of these 2 characters. Their connection takes a life of its own as they navigate through Clifton Forge to uncover more secrets. As they make more discoveries about a brutal murder, they make some discoveries about themselves that had me glued to the pages. Their attraction was undeniable, but mutual troubles makes their slow burn chemistry unputdownable.
All the interconnecting pieces affecting all the main characters start falling into place. Some secrets are revealed and more are introduced.
Oh my freaking goodness!
I couldn’t put this book down!!
If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. Devney Perry outdid herself on this one! Riven Knight picks up right where Gypsy King left off. However, it is not a continuation of the Gypsy King. There is still the mystery of who really killed Amina and of course the mystery of what happened in that cabin but that is all in the background. Riven Knight is about finding love in the most difficult circumstances. Isaiah is haunted by his past and unable to forgive himself for events he blames himself for. Genevieve is mourning the death of her mother and coping with the things she has learned about her mother’s past. Together, they forge a way forward, learning to lean on and trust each other. It is not love at first sight, it is a love that steadily grows as these characters get to know each other. Devney Perry wrote an amazing love story while still giving us a mystery that was completely unpredictable. You don’t know, until it is revealed, who the actual villain is in this story, Riven Knight is a book you will not want to put down until it’s done!
Tin Gypsy series is my favorite series of 2019. Riven Knight is book 2 in the series! This book gives you ALL the feels!!
Isaiah didn’t feel he was worthy of love. Genevieve sets out to prove him wrong.
Isaiah is living with guilt of a past mistake. Genevieve is reeling from the death of her mother, discovering who her real father is, and being caught up in the Tin Gypsy drama. Isaiah wants to protect her…she wants to protect him…but neither is protecting the other from each other.
The story picks up where Tin Gypsy leaves off. There were questions…and Riven Knight provides answers. You know something happens in a cabin. You know there is a marriage of convenience…that is anything but. The storyline is full of suspense, drama, and love!!
Isaiah calls her “Doll”…who doesn’t fall in love with a guy that calls his gal that???
“I don’t want to be fake married anymore.”
She flinched…”Oh”
“How about you wear that ring for real?”
This is an outstanding story and I am looking forward to the 3rd in the series…Stone Princess.
Devney Perry does not disappoint!! Huge hugs and loud applause for such a superb story!!
