From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry comes a small town, fake relationship romance.Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her twenty-seventh birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble. Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of … gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.
Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.
And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.

4 1/2 STARS!
Explosive secrets bring answers we weren’t expecting as Devney Perry picks up her Tin Gypsy series with a highly emotional second book, RIVEN KNIGHT. The characters are attention grabbing, the fallout from their actions roars to life and happily ever afters are tested.
Genevieve is easy to like and sympathize with as she enters into the life of this family she didn’t know she had.
Isaiah is a gentle soul who is trying to overcome his past and slowly learn that he deserves a better future than he ever imagined he could have.
I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys seeing the sins of a motorcycle club come back to haunt them even as they try to live in the straight and narrow.
FIVE GLORIOUS STARS FOR BOOK TWO IN THE TIN GYPSY MC!!!
All your questions will be answered!!!
You fall in love with Genevieve and Isaiah’s story! A toe curling slow burn with mystery and men on motorcycle’s!! I mean seriously, what more could you ask for??
Picking up right where Gypsy King left off, Riven Knight starts off with a marriage of convenience between Genevieve and Isaiah. I’ve only read a handful from this trope and it’s growing on me!u2063

The mystery and suspense build so well in this installment and I loved that I was constantly surprised! I thought I had this one figured out about halfway in. Spoiler alert – I was wrong! I had so many questions from book 1 and I got all the answers in this one!u2063

The friendship between Genevieve and Isaiah grew first, with each offering the other their shoulder to lean on when they needed one. As often happens with friendship, it grows into love and these two were the perfect match. Supporting each other, fighting for each other, and protecting each other. u2063

The ending sets up the next book though it did break my heart just a little for that character. And I was SO excited to see a bonus scene for Bryce and Dash!! u2063
I couldn’t get enough of Genevieve and Isaiah, their angst was just enthralling.
Genevieve Daylee finds herself married to a stranger who saved her life and in a town her mother was murder. She just recently found out the her father is the man accused of murdering her mother. That she was the result of an affair and has gain two half brother. One of which can’t stand the sight of her. Now she’s currently living with her husband in the small apartment above a garage own by the brother who loathes her. She starts working as a paralegal for the lawyer who is defining her father. She has a plan but that goes bust when she starts to have real feelings for her fake husband.
Isaiah Reynolds is a man with many demons and hates that he’s put Genevieve in this situation. He’s been to prison, he’s lost the only women he’s ever loved and lives with guilt that he isn’t ready to share. So when he’s feelings for Genevieve starts to surface he pushes her away.
This story picks up right after Gypsy King, so the murder is still on the lose. The suspense continues to build and brings new characters and leads to the table. It was just fantastic and has me wanted more. This is such a wonderful Devney Perry book it has the romance and suspense that you anticipate from her.
Devney Perry shot to the top of my automatic 1-click author’s list from the moment I finished The Birthday List a few years ago. Something about her writing resonates with me. But I have to admit I was very wary of the Tin Gypsy series. I am NOT an MC romance girl. So I debated. It wasn’t technically an MC romance book, and it was a new favorite author, so I took the plunge while I had some time during quarantine. Honest moment though…if Perry’s name weren’t attached to these books, I most likely would have passed them over and not even debated reading them. Since my first reading of this book almost a year ago, I’ve re-read the entire series at least once. And as I type this, I’m considering another re-read as we approach the next book’s release day. Once again, I’m getting ahead of myself, though. Technically the first two books in the Tin Gypsy series can be read as standalones, but there’s an underlying mystery woven into both books’ plots that really make it worth your time to read them both. Later books in the series are more standalone.
When we last visited Clifton Forge, we were all a bit stunned at all of the revelations. And the mysterious Isaiah certainly had my attention. I’m a romantic suspense buff, so I just had to know his backstory and what brought him to Clifton Forge. I knew it was going to be something big and something unique. While I was intrigued by Isaiah, my heart was simultaneously breaking for Genevieve. She went from having a stable life, confident in who she was, to utter chaos and overwhelming grief in the blink of an eye.
As an avid romantic suspense fan, these first two books in the series have been so satisfying to read. You should definitely give them a shot, even if you aren’t an MC romance fan like me. I think you’ll find that they are far enough removed from MC that you’ll enjoy the unique storyline and characters of this book and the entire series.
I give Riven Knight by Devney Perry 5 out of 5 stars!
Wow! We finally have the answer to the murder mystery and I was in shock! I did not see that coming! I loved this book! Isaiah and Genevieve were a slow to start couple. They were strangers when Isaiah saved Genevieve and they vowed to have each other’s backs. Isaiah was also haunted by his past. It was very heartbreaking. On top of all this her mom is dead and her Dad is about to take the blame and I was so so sad what happened. I was really hoping things didn’t go down the way they did but pasts come back to haunt and sometimes they’re deadly and not everyone, even in romance books, will get their happily ever after. A very good book and I’m so excited for Stone Princess!
It was ok, easy to read though the characters just didn’t draw me in. Was happy to finish it.
NO SPOILERS!
Gah, I’m OBSESSED with the Tin Gypsy series! Like, literally addicted. Riven Knight, the second standalone in this romantic suspense series, was even better than the first and I was completely hooked from page one. Devney Perry’s talent is unparalleled, her stories are pure genius, and I’m totally in love with her brand of romance. The Tin Gypsy series is the freaking BEST and quickly becoming one of my all-time FAVORITE series!
The storyline was phenomenal and the author’s prose was superb. The plot kept me guessing at every turn and had me holding my breath nearly the entire time, almost afraid of what might happen next. The book was definitely full of edge-of-your-seat suspense and the conclusion was seriously EPIC. Like, jaw-dropping kind of gobsmacked.
The characters stole my heart and I was rooting for them from the start. Isaiah and Genevieve were both broken in their own way, but the strength and perseverance they possessed was truly awe-inspiring. They were the best thing for one another and helped each other heal. I cried, I laughed, I swooned, and honestly loved every single moment of Isaiah and Genevieve’s unforgettable love story—bad parts and all.
Everything about Riven Knight was amazing and it was definitely a MUST READ standalone romantic suspense, so make sure you grab Isaiah and Genevieve’s story STAT! I promise you won’t regret it. The Tin Gypsy series has been an unforgettable roller coaster ride thus far, and I honestly can’t freaking wait to devour the next standalone, Stone Princess!
*5 Stars*
I really enjoyed this instalment of the Tin Gypsy series. After the way the first book ended, I really wanted to know what had happened with Isaiah and Genevieve, and the angst in this one waiting to find out had me devouring the book.
I really liked these two together, even if there were things that needed to be worked through. Especially for Isaiah. And there was also so much mystery surrounding the circumstances of the original case that rolls over from the first book. The person who did it? I thought of them at one point and then promptly dismissed the idea. So, yeah, I was a little surprised when it came out.
I also really like all the other characters in this one, and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series and seeing how their stories play out too.
Definitely recommend, but this series must be read in order.
Riven Knight is the second book in Devney Perry’s Tin Gypsy series about Tin Gypsy MC in Clifton Forge, Montana. Just to give you heads up, if you love MC series then be forewarned, Tin Gypsy is NOT your usual dark and gritty MC story, it goes much deeper and especially Riven Knight … now that I have read all four books currently available, I feel that Isaiah and Genevieve’s story is the one that leaves a mark … it is a love story, but it is not your usual gushing romance story, it is raw and realistic and as it is told from two points of views, Isaiah and Genevieve, you really get deep into their heads and in their stories … Isaiah has a backstory that seems unsurmountable and throughout the story I felt for Genevieve and I kept hoping that she keeps going and that these two will find their way to really truly being together, against the world, with their families …
As the story is part of a series, many more secrets surface and the impact of them is resounding and you will need to plan time for continuing with Tin Gypsies as it is not over … by a long shot!
A gritty, unexpected story of love and real life. This isn’t a happy go lucky, sunshine and roses happily ever after story, but it is a love story. An original story in a genre over flowing happily ever afters.
This book. Sometimes a book takes you by surprise. Other times you think you know what you are getting into and them, BAM, you have no idea.
This was one of those books. One of the ones that I thought I knew what I was getting into and in reality I had zero clue. This book has to be my favorite so far in this series. I really enjoyed book one, but book two? This one took the cake, It gave all the answers I was hoping we would get and on the flip aide it broke my heart a little bit in places I didn’t see coming. Devney has a way of throwing characters at you that you think you wont love and then by the end of the book they are your new favorite. This was that book. I wasn’t Genevieve’s biggest fan but by the end of book one, but by the end of this read, I loved her as much as I loved the rest of the crew. Sometimes exactly what you need is what you least expect. That is the lesson these two needed to learn. Let yourself see what is in front of you and don’t be afraid to take it and love it. This book gives answers, I told you that. But it also brings hurt and tears. I wasn’t prepared and it broke my heart a little bit. I am excited for the next book and if it is anything like the previous two is is going to be a doozy.
This series is addicting! Loved every moment of this story and am glad that justice was served. Can’t wait to read the rest of the novels!
The book would not open even when reported several times. I never got to read it.
Wow. Just… wow. To say I was super excited when I found out Isaiah Reynolds had a book of his own would be the understatement of the century! If you’ve read Tragic (Lark Cove book 3) ,then you probably know that Isaiah Reynolds is Kaine Reynolds’ younger brother. You probably also know that something terrible happened that made Kaine hate his brother for quite a long time — and if you don’t know all those things, what are you waiting for?! Lark Cove series is as epic as Tin Gypsy, so waste no more time and read the books!!!
Isaiah…This man deserved the happiest of endings for what he’d been through, for all the guilt he’d falsely held against himself, and Devney Perry couldn’t have made his story more perfect. Buckle up people, because Isaiah and Genevieve are about to rock your world with their emotional, mysterious, MC romance!
All Genevieve Daylee wanted to do when she arrived in Clifton Forge was to see her mother’s grave — a woman who was brutally murdered and whose killer was falsely speculated to be Draven Slater, Genevieve’s real father.
She didn’t think she would be kidnapped and nearly killed. She didn’t think she’d escape and find shelter in a cabin, which ended up being a worse hell than the first. She didn’t expect to be saved by a strange man who defended her like a riven knight. And if someone had told her she would have ended up marrying this handsome stranger, she would have laughed at his face. But all those things happened. Isaiah and Genevieve share a secret —they’re the only ones who know what truly happened in that cabin that fateful night. And the only way for it to stay a secret is for them to get married.
Isaiah and Genevieve didn’t magically end up falling in love, and that’s what I loved the most about this book. The author took her time making them feel comfortable around each other —comfortable enough to share their thoughts and secrets. Isaiah was reluctant to reveal much about himself and his past, but he soon found out Genevieve was hard to resist. He was determined to keep her at arm’s length, thinking he didn’t deserve her. He was so self loathing that he ended up shutting her out completely, oblivious to the fact that his withdrawal hurt her the most.
He needed closure in order to move on with his life and seeing the people whose lives he destroyed happy and free from the ghosts of the past, gave him just that. It was a necessary step for him be finally be happy and realize that he deserves Genevieve’s love.
Just when they think they’ll get their happily ever after, the unknown enemy strikes back and puts a target on Genevieve’s back, threatening to reveal what truly happened in that cabin the night she was kidnapped.
Gahh!!! The mystery in this book! I just wanted to learn what happened in that damned cabin so much. And most of all, I wanted to finally find out who Amina’s killer was. Honestly, I was afraid Devney Perry would torture us more by revealing the killer in the third book, but she took pity on us and finally revealed the guy!! It was so unexpected, and it made so much sense.
I only have five last words to say: Devney. Perry. Is. A. Mastermind!!
I enjoyed this book, but I have to say that I’m not enjoying this series as much as I have her other series. I have a hard time getting by the reformed violent motor cycle gang plot.
What a wonderful, poignant story!
Definitely one of my favorite books ever. Not only a top 2020 read for me.
Isaiah and Genevieve were definitely made for each other, and I’m not saying this lightly. Even considering their rocky start, there was this connection between them, born on grief and despair, built on fear and protection, and blossomed on love and loyalty.
Their backgrounds were full of happiness that took a sharp turn into pain and sorrow. But there was so much beauty in the way the author pictured them, their journey into acceptance and forgiveness, their growth out of grief.
The healing was almost like a third main character of such impact it had on the plot and on both Genevieve and Isaiah’s lives.
Genevieve and Isaiah were facing their unbelieavbly painful demons. Not only that, they were hiding from the danger lurking around them, ready to attack at any given moment. They only had their memories and each other. And from that, a beautiful friendship was born.
The fight for their lives put them together, their secrets brought them close, their loyalty made them friends, their connection and understanding nurtured their love. And from that, there was no danger strong enought to bring them apart.
Genevieve was resilient even through her grief. She was so strong in her vulnerability, so determined to do what she thought was the right thing, and she always did it in a nurturing way. She was truly admirable.
Isaiah torn my heart and put it back together. His sadness was both painful and beautiful to watch. He had so much love to give, he was caring, loyal, a silent protector, a true riven kinght, torn between beating himself up for his past caving to his present full of lovel.
Their journey was complex, deep, astonishing, passionate and compelling.
This book is a masterpiece.
Downloaded the book but something went wrong and no text showed up.
Amazing story-line! This book will keep you turning pages; it will make you smile; and, then grab a Kleenex. Genevieve couldn’t catch a break; Isaiah couldn’t start a new life. She didn’t have an involved Dad; Mom never mentioned his name; and, she worked hard as a paralegal while going to college to become a lawyer. Poor Isaiah finished a prison sentence and remained solemn while working on cars in a garage. This starts the book and events that followed kept me reading to see what happens. In this story you will find gangs, kidnappers and good guys. I highly recommend this author’s writing. I loved this book and want to read others in this series.
Amazing story. Loved it so much I bought the next book.
