From USA Today Bestselling Author Devney Perry comes a small town, fake relationship romance.Genevieve Daylee didn’t expect to be standing in front of a judge on her twenty-seventh birthday. But ever since her life became entangled with a former motorcycle gang, she’s learned not to expect anything but trouble. Her mother, a woman she once admired and adored, is gone, leaving behind a trail of … gone, leaving behind a trail of secrets and lies. She’s living in a tiny apartment above a garage owned by her brother, a man who loathes her very existence. And the father she met beside her mother’s grave is as much of a stranger as Isaiah Reynolds, the broken man with soulless eyes standing beside her in front of the judge.
Isaiah is her protector from the murderer at large in Clifton Forge. Though he’s more like a riven knight in dented armor than a prince on a white stallion. She knows next to nothing about him, other than he works as a mechanic. As of tonight, he’ll be sharing her bathroom.
And, according to the judge, Isaiah is now her husband.

Riven Knight, book 2 in Devney Perry’s Tin Gypsy series was such an emotionally charged book from start to finish! If you thought Gypsy King was suspenseful, then you must read this one.
Riven Knight picks up right where Gypsy King left off and we finally discover what really happened on the mountain.
Genevieve Daylee is thrusted into the chaotic world of the former Tin Gypsies MC. She feels lonely and betrayed by her own mother. Marrying Isaiah is not only his saving grace but hers as well. As the story progresses, Genevieve learns to love Clifton Forge and soon she shows just how much of her father’s daughter she truly is as she’s willing to fight for her new family no matter the cost.
“Isaiah wasn’t mine to keep forever. Eventually he’d move on to find someone who made him truly happy. The selfish part of me loathed the idea of a different, future Mrs. Reynolds who’d get more than subtle grins.”
Isaiah Reynolds is a broken, tortured man that battles many demons from his past. It was so heartbreaking watching him struggle to not give himself a chance at love and happiness. Underneath all the loss and pain lays such a beautiful and enigmatic man.
“Ever since Genevieve Daylee had entered my life, the order and simplicity I craved and found had vanished.”
Genevieve and Isaiah were two broken pieces of a puzzle that fit. It was such a beautiful relationship to watch transform. A slow burn romance that required a lot of patience and strength. When Isaiah tried to pull away Genevieve would stand her ground and push back. What began as a lie slowly turned into love.
“Isaiah looked in the mirror and saw everlasting broken pieces, but maybe my broken pieces would fit with his. Together, maybe we’d make a whole.”
Overall, what a freakin’ ride, you guys and we’re only in book 2!! There’s so many thrills and layers to be peeled back with these wonderful and amazing characters and I’m 1000% ready to enjoy it all!!
Riven Knight is the second novel in Devney Perry’s Tin Gypsy series. Though a standalone, it is best read after its predecessor as there is a running plot that begins in Gypsy King and not only continues but concludes in Riven Knight.
YES! The events that occurred on the mountain and ultimately led to Genevieve and Isaiah’s tying of the knot are revealed along with Amina Daylee’s murderer.
We first meet Genevieve Daylee in Gypsy King under heartbreaking circumstances. Her mother is the town mystery, the woman brutally murdered at the Evergreen motel. The loss of her mother brings a lot of emotions to the surface: anger, hurt, grief, and a sense of being betrayed as her mother’s secrets shadows her grave. Thus, making Genevieve question who her mother truly was all while trying to solve her murder, keep a lie intact, and make Clifton Forge home.
With the presence of a knight riven by self-accusations and remorse, Genevieve feels less lonely as she navigates a new life that includes a new family. Part of her new life is keeping up the guise of being married to one Isaiah Reynolds, all while being connected to the former Tin Gypsy Motorcycle Club.
Isaiah Reynolds has a past. A past that has not only left him less than shiny but one that has left him tarnished in many ways. A past that he believes deems him unworthy. Unworthy especially of love and intimacy. But his fake wife, the doll faced beauty is getting under his skin. She’s sinking deep into his thoughts and even deeper into his heart.
These two characters started off as strangers. Instantaneously they become an impenetrable team. Gradually, Genevieve and Isaiah move out of friendship territory and into more. And this sham of a marriage becomes a very real thing with very real emotions.
It has to be said. All the feels. ALL THE STARS!! With the ability to keep you teetering on edge, Devney Perry devises a slow burning, intoxicating and suspenseful novel that is simply spellbinding!
A page-turning and stunning new standalone form Devney Perry!
I am a huge fan of Devney Perry’s writing style. Richly developed and interesting plots, vividly described details, intriguing characters and a heartfelt romance—what’s not to love? Perry definitely excels at bringing the whole picture to life for her readers on the page, and one of the ways she does that is by giving them the opportunity to really get to know her characters through careful and deliberate introductions to them. Perry’s storytelling generally includes a suspenseful element, but this series thus far has been structured around an exciting suspense plot that has encompassed the first two books. Readers looking to dive into Riven Knight need to know that they must read Gypsy King first.
Riven Knight picks up Isiah and Genevieve’s story where it began in Gypsy King, as Isaiah and Genevieve, for the lack of a better description considering this situation is anything but convenient, enter into a marriage of convenience. I’m sorry, but I just cannot bring myself to give out any more details about the plot than that. Anything I say will be a spoiler, and this is one story that needs to be read and experienced as the author intends – without any advance warning of where the story is going to go. I’ll tell you that there were parts of the story where I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what would happen next. There were turns and twists and bumps in the road that had me up and out of my seat, pacing the floor as I read. There were shades of gray that eventually fleshed out an image that couldn’t be misconstrued as anything but black and white.
Perry stitched this enthralling, unputdownable plot together with the fragile strings of love. Isaiah and Genevieve came to each other with their own sets of heavy baggage. The thing that held them together, though, was the nightmare they experienced together. There was no one to lean on but each other, and while awkward at times, they were forced to find a way because there wasn’t any other option. Slowly, oh so deliciously slowly, the chemistry between them began to smoke and build until it burned hotter than either had ever imagined. They grew closer, and what was once for show began to feel very real. These feelings between them were unexpected, slightly uncomfortable, sometimes unwanted, but wholly unavoidable. Perry did a fantastic job of allowing this moving and beautifully portrayed love story to unfurl organically by never rushing this couple down the road to romance, and just allowing them to take their time getting there.
Riven Knight picks up the gauntlet laid down in Gypsy King, and it was an extraordinary addition to this captivating, sexy new series from Devney Perry. A riveting, engrossing suspense plot coupled perfectly with a heart-racing romance into a gripping, all-consuming story that I positively inhaled. Five smooches from me for Riven Knight by Devney Perry!

GAH! I already loved the first book on the series but I loved this one even more. I was super, super curious about Isaiah and Genevieves story because the teasing game about what happened in the cabin was very strong in Gipsy King.
Of course I won’t spoil what happened but I can spoil you how much on the edge I was the entire time.
The tension between the two characters was off the charts, and they had such a hard time to FINALLY give in to each other. I admit if they had just talk to each other that wouldn’t have taken such a long time but it was better that way because seriously the tension was super strong. I could feel it through my Kindle.
In this book we finally learn who killed Genevieves and Dashs mom and I have to say, well played Devney because I haven’t seen that one coming. At one particular part it was clear but I was in the dark until then.
The Tin Gipsy series is going to be one of my favorite series ever, I can already feel it even tho we are only two books in.
Super excited for Stone Princess because once again the teasing game was strong in Riven Knight.
Oh, and one more thing! I absolutely LOVE how Deveny connected her books with each other but no worries, you don’t have to read them all in order to enjoy the Tin Gipsy series. It was just a nice surprise to see some well beloved characters in Riven Knight.
Romantic Suspense | Ex Con | Fake Relationship
Devney Perry delivers in yet another romantic suspense novel about family, revenge, and fighting for the truth. This book is precisely layered, breathtakingly romantic, and absolutely GRIPPING! I’m THRILLED with the shocking twist at the end AND at the epilogue which sets us up for the next book. Devney writes amazing romances and I fell hard and fast for her small-town love stories. I didn’t know how her darker novels would fare in comparison to her sweeter novels, but I know now. They are JUST AS GOOD. I am loving the suspenseful aspects of these books and her characters are achingly beautiful. This book shouldn’t be missed! I will recommend reading Gypsy King prior to this one if you haven’t though. Otherwise you may not fully understand the characters and what happened to them.
That being said, I have to admit, the first book FELT like it ended on a cliffhanger (even though it DIDN’T in a romantic sense) because there were so many unanswered questions. It left me feeling a little defeated because I love everything wrapped up in a nice little bow. However, after reading this novel I have to say I am GLAD she left questions unanswered because all my questions from the previous book slowly reveal here with a SHOCKING, AND TWISTED ENDING. How they revealed themselves also felt very authentic. Why? Because this book is truly about FAMILY and fighting for the truth. Without the added bonus of Genevieve and Isaiah’s relationship in the mix it would have felt stunted. So really, it all makes sense and feels RIGHT! Bravo, Devney!
If you’re looking for you’re next 5 star read LOOK NO FURTHER. Devney Perry has it RIGHT HERE. I love her stories and how she weaves her romances through them, and I know MANY readers feel the exact same way! I highly recommend this one!
I don’t know where to start!
I absolutely loved Isaiah and Genevieve! Took me a while to figure out who Isaiah was and then it was all systems go, i couldn’t stop! I was so interested in him when we first meet him in Kaines book and totally didn’t connect the dots to figure out who he was!
I loved how it continued you on from book one just with another couple, i love we got to see so much of Dash and Bryce too!
With Genevieve i was abit on the fence with her like i was with Bryce because their so head strong its hard to decipher what i feel at first but i came to love her.
Isaiah again i was on the fence because he was so aloof but after realising who he was it all clicked into place why he was so distant.
I’m absolutely dying for the next book!
Holy heck! This book kept me on my toes from beginning to end!
I met Genevieve and Isaiah in book one and was immediately pulled into whatever mystery surrounded their relationship so I was extremely excited to get my hands on their story. And wow! This book absolutely blew me away. From the beginning this has a weightier feel to it. There is a lot going on in both Genevieve’s and Isaiah’s lives and while they’re dealing with all the drama around them as well as their circle of friends, they struggle with their own inner demons as well as their burgeoning emotions towards one another.
This doesn’t have a lot of action but the emotional side of the story kept me turning pages as quickly as I could. And when there was action, I was left stunned and staggering. It’s safe to say this is one of the best romantic suspense books I’ve read in a long time. Mostly because the suspense isn’t just about the bad guy, but it encircles these characters to such a degree that the further into the story I went, the more the tension built.
The romance between Genevieve and Isaiah was absolutely perfect. There is no insta, over the top reactions between them and their relationship develops in a manner that is completely believable. My heart hurt for Isaiah and the burden he carried on his shoulders. His first thought was always about protecting V and that is the very definition of an alpha hero for me. Genevieve is heartsick from the loss of her mother but when she needs to take action, she doesn’t hesitate, even if she is shaking in her boots. She was a true heroine with grit and determination and I loved her for who she was and what she brought into Isaiah’s life.
This has a wonderful pace to it and the evolving plotline kept me engaged the entire time. Secondary characters added a deeper dimension to the story as well as helping to push the story along and I’m so antsy to get my hands on their stories. Genevieve and Isaiah will definitely be going on my favorite hero/heroine list!
*Must read book 1
Devney Perry can tell one heck of a story!
Riven Knight- the second book in the Tin Gypsies series- picks up at the end of Gypsy King, when Genevieve has learned who her father is and has gotten tangled up in the former Tin Gypsies mess. She finds herself marrying Isaiah, who works in the Clifton Forge garage for Draven (Genevieve’s now-known father) and Dash (her half-brother, who is none too happy to have a sister). He, too, has been thrown into the Tin Gypsies business, and with a past like his, this is not a good idea. Despite this, Genevieve and Isaiah forge ahead. First, they try to get used to living with each other, then build up a friendship, and finally- FINALLY!- they find love.
I absolutely loved the dynamics that these two have! They felt so real, and their emotions were conveyed so well! I loved their growth throughout the book, the connection that not only they managed, but the connection that they had to others, as well. The side story with Genevieve and Draven threw this story over the top, and puts Riven Knight at the top of books for 2019!
And bring out the tissues- they will be needed!
Lets start out saying I loved Gypsy King and was wondering how on Earth this author would be able to top it but oh boy did she ever! I was completely and utterly hooked from page one, right out of the gate, with this book. I could literally feel the emotions coming from the main leading lady. The Hero in this book, gah, your heart can’t help but fall hard! This book takes you on a roller-coaster that tugs on your heart, makes you gasp, and hold your breath trying to find out where this road is going to lead you. A top read for 2019!!!!!
It’s taken me a few days to be able to write this, as this book captured my heart so strongly, I wasn’t ready for it to be over.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is nothing Devney Perry can’t write.
This story is the one one I wanted most, as soon as I finished Tragic, I needed Isaiah’s story, if anyone needs a HEA it’s him, though his road to love isn’t smooth, it’s like being on the back of the bike he’s fixed up, bumpy, hard to hold on to at times and twists and turns in the road you won’t see coming.
I am in awe at Devney’s talent, I was gripped to every page, even when I had tears streaming down my face, I knew the end result would be worth all the pain and sadness, and I wasn’t wrong. Riven Knight is an exciting, unexpected, beautifully heartbreaking story, about two people thrown together in unusual circumstances finding love amongst their impossibly devastating surroundings.
We met Isaiah in Tragic, the brother of Kaine and the reason for Kaine’s heartbreak. I don’t want to give anything away as I believe everyone needs to experience Tragic for themselves. However, I can say, even after gaining Kaine’s forgiveness, Isaiah can’t forgive himself, he lives a solitary life, working hard and then going home to a small studio flat above the garage he works at. Never socialising or making friends, he is existing rather than living. No one can get through the walls around Isaiah’s heart, until he lands himself a wife he didn’t want and doesn’t love, but needs all the same.
Genevieve Daylee’s life has been turned upside down in a short space of time, after finding out her mother was brutally murdered, Genevieve heads to Clifton Forge to visit her grave, only to be kidnapped and held by a masked man set on revenge, landing herself in the middle of a war between two rival biker groups, at which, the head of one sits her Father, whom she’s never known or met. Sadly, the tragedies don’t stop there and after fleeing from the kidnapper, she ends up in another nightmare situation, but is thankfully saved by Isaiah, a total stranger, and the couple now share a secret no one can know. To protect each other, they decide to get married 1 week after they first laid eyes on one another, but this is just the beginning of the story for this pair.
At times my heart truly felt like it was braking, the emotions Devney is able to evoke with her words is phenomenal, there is so much in this book, I can’t stress any more, how much I believe everyone should read this.
In Riven Knight, book 2 in the Tin Gypsy series, we finally find out what happened between Isaiah and Genevieve and it is a doozy. They have both endured a lot in their lives, so for them to have found each other was really heart-warming. Unfortunately it took them awhile to get there, their love story was definitely on the slow burn side, but their journey kept me riveted to every page.
The murder mystery that started off in the Gypsy King definitely kept me on my toes, all the players involved created some jaw dropping moments. I really did not see that coming.
What started off as a marriage of convenience between these two broken people developed to so much more, not only love between the two, but also forgiveness, closure and the love of family. Another fantastic read, now the wait for book 3!
Isaiah and Genevieve’s story was so intriguing from the start. We knew from Gypsy King that something strange was going on with these two, which left us speculating. You won’t be disappointed when you read their story; why and how they became a couple and most importantly their journey to love! SWOON
You will remember Isaiah from Tragic, which was such a captivating book; we finally learned about Isaiah’s past and why he feels like such a broken man. I absolutely loved every minute of watching Devney put back together Isaiah’s broken pieces.
Genevieve has such a strong presence about her, having lost her mom and learning about a family she never knew she had plus the relationship she had with Isaiah; she persevered and conquered at every turn.
But the great stuff was Isaiah and Genevieve together. Devney has such a way with words that pull you in and don’t let you go…which is the best experience you can have when reading a book! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
(I received an early review copy from the author)
It is hard to do a spoiler free review…especially for this one.
Devney Perry NEVER disappoints me. I have been anxious for Isaiah’s story since he showed up in his brothers book. I was definitely intrigued by him. I LOVED the marriage of convenience idea.
This story was not at all what I was expecting. Genieve and Isaiah have a heartbreaking story!! The duo was put together under extreme circumstances and thrived!! I was blown away by this amazing story!! These two have amazing chemistry and it shows!!
I loved the fact that no matter what I thought was going to happen, was not at all what happened. I was unable to figure this one out and was blown away by the events!!
FANTASTIC
A Marriage of Convenience.
Riven Knight reveals some of the after math from book one.As we follow Genevieve and Isaiah’s story and what happened between them in the cabin as they tried to escape from a killer.
I am loving this series so far, The storytelling by Devney Perry is Excellent,it reels you in and holds you captive until the end.
Alls I want to do is keep reading until I have read every single one.
Isaiah and Genevieve’s story was emotional and broke my heart at times. They are both going through some challenging ghosts from the past. They become a team and help one another through some rocky situations falling in Love in the process.
And there are some really big obstacles they have to endure. This book is just phenomenal.
I cannot praise it enough the writing is perfect and draws out every emotion from you.
I Loved every moment reading Riven Knight and I Highly recommend it
A Gazillion Stars
AMAZING series.
Author is a master story teller. This series get better as it goes on. I’m so invested in those characters and the stories, I can’t stop reading/ listening to these books. Thank goodness for audiobooks otherwise I wouldn’t get anything else done but read. I highly recommend this series and the author.
Genevieve came to Clifton Forge to see her mother’s grave. Her life is turned even more upside down before she ever made it into town. Isaiah works at the garage and was never a member of the Tin Gypsies but has become a part of their family. When the Gypsies have have to rescue one of their own he doesn’t hesitate to help.
Riven Knight takes us deeper into the history between the Gypsies and the Warriors. Dash and Bryce are prominent in V and Isaiah’s story and we get to know them all a little better. I have gotten totally hooked on the Tin Gypsies and had to jump into the next one immediately. Love these strong, sassy women who can tame a big, bad MC man.
Isaiah is a mechanic working every day just to get through each day. Until he goes on a ride with Dash, Emmett and Leo that flips his world upside down. Now he finds himself married to Genevieve, a stranger, to protect each other. Genevieve finds herself in a strange town, married to a strange man, trying to learn about a strange father. With all of their unknows, how long before things blow up or feelings get involved.
I have been excited for Isaiah’s story since I read Tragic. I felt it in my bones he would be amazing. I wasn’t wrong but . . . this one was way to slow for me and there was entirely too many time hops. I was irked by their inability to talk. It was always one step forward, three steps back for them. Neither one wanted to leave the house but they refused to talk. I was annoyed and when V blew up, man did I feel that and love it because I was right there with her. But yet, I loved how she refused to give up and walk away. I loved how when her whole world was a ? she refused to give up on Isaiah. It was never a doubt that these two fell hard for each other but it was painful to get to their HEA but I think it was worth it.
OH MY GOSH!!!!! This book had me ugly crying so bad!!!! Isaiah’s story in itself is utterly heartbreaking but when Genevieves story is added to the mix it’s completely devastating. These two have suffered so much loss. My heart hurt so much for both of them. He*l, for that whole family. Riven Knight was a really emotional read and it’s a great idea to have kleenex handy when you read it. It’s full of everything you can imagine and then some. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss the journey with these characters. What an incredible read!
Wow!! I definitely did not see that outcome! Genevieve and Isaiah both have been through so much in such a short time. I loved seeing some of Lark Cove again!!
