QUEENED- Rhapsody always assumed she was human. What else was there? A dangerous encounter in the darkness shows her otherwise, as she’s swept away to Sirenis. What’s worse, she must compete in a trial to prove she’s capable of becoming Queen, even if she isn’t ready. Learning she’s part Siren and her grandmother is the reigning Queen is tough. Even tougher? The Queen already chose a consort for … for her champion, without even knowing her at all! Through trials that test their fate and their blossoming bond, Rhapsody must learn to embrace her true nature, even as the stakes become much higher.
EXILED- Domestic violence changes a person. You begin to live in fear, unable to trust your own intuition. For Jodi Carmen, even Scotland isn’t far enough to run. Trapped between the male who sets her soul on fire and the broody friend she didn’t expect to enjoy, Jodi is forced to come to terms with her past, present, and future. Can she learn to trust again? Can she believe her own mind, or is she only seeing what she wants to see? When their pasts collide and ancient feuds are brought to light, only one can truly save her.
What would you risk to have it all?

Two incredible books, one package! Queenie, a race to the finish, had my heart racing!
EXiled, a slower, romantic fight for the girl! Beautiful locale, beautifully written.
Risque Romance: Volume 3 By Mandi Konesni has two mythology stories in this volume.
The first story is Queened which is about Rhapsody who gets swept away to Sirenis and finds out she is part Siren and must compete in trials to become the next Queen.
The second story is Exiled which is about Jodi who travels to Scotland and finds herself between the Kelpies and Selkies that have been in war for centuries.
Mandi does an amazing job pulling you into the stories. I really enjoyed both stories with their twists on mythology. I can’t wait to read more of Mandi’s books!
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves Mythology or Folklore stories.
Risque Romance: Volume 3 is a book containing two stories, each as wonderful as the other.
QUEENED- It’s always wonderful when you connect with a character and Rhapsody is no different. She has her flaws, her issues, being somewhat of an outsider. I think a lot of people can relate to that, at least I can, and it helps bridge the connection between the reader and the character. Though not all is at it seems, which Rhapsody soon finds out when she is whisked away to Sirenis! I loved how Mandi detailed the many different locations here, it made you feel like you were actually travelling along the journey with Rhapsody and standing beside her in the many trials she faces. Overall, QUEENED is a wonderful story which takes you on a journey through a magical land whilst Rhapsody discovers a life, as well as strength and courage which she didn’t know she had.
EXILED – Jodi is another character I found myself connecting with, we all have things we wish to run away from in our past, right? EXILED takes you on a journey to Scotland, once more allowing you to be a part of Jodi’s transformation as she transforms into a strong and independent woman after fleeing her former life and the horrendous events which happened to her there. But once again Mandi delivers wonderful twists and turns and I have to admit, it was refreshing to read a story that includes supernatural beings that you don’t often read about.
Overall I enjoyed Risque Romance: Volume 3 and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys anything supernatural, exciting, being taken on a journey and romance.
Well done Mandi and congratulations on yet another wonderful release!
Mandi is a very talented author. You know your different from others and don’t know why until your destiny is revealed. In Queened Mandi shows us how Rhapsody’s uniqueness is needed and answers questions she’s had her whole life. With the help of her consort, Aerion, she is fierce and compassionate as she finds her place in the universe through this well woven tale. Exile is another story where the heroine Jodi meets two handsome men with stories of cultures from beneath the ocean. She decides which man she is drawn too and aides in the reawakening of cultural diversity. These are two well written stories with all the angst and adventures a reader could ask for in a book.
These were two really great stories!
In one, you find that life can be so much more than you believed it could and Rhapsody discovers her special gift is a familial one. And she not only finds a family she did not know she had but strength and courage she did not know she possessed. In the process, she also finds love and passion she never hoped to find.
The second story is about a girl running from her past to hide among people who are accepting and understanding. Then she is whisked away on a vacation that reveals more about herself, and a true past she had no idea existed as well as a tale that is more truth than a fable. She finds herself caught up in a dangerous situation in an unreal environment.
Both of these stories were engaging and fun to read as well as exciting.
